I think one basic requirements for a Super Sentai theme is that Japanese children need to think it's cool. Not sure that's true for flowers or emotions.

Let me redeem myself:

Band Theme

Core:

Red - Microphone/Vocals

Blue - Guitar

Yellow - Drums

White - Keytar

Black - Bass

Sixth:

Purple - Pick Up

You could totally do flowers if you pass them off as being part of some samurai imagery and give the kids cool cyber flower collectibles or something.

Emotions could also work very well - Digimon pulled it off.

Another medieval-motif sentai.

I like series with fantasy themes over sci-fi themes most of the time, but we've had several shows that are more fantasy than sci-fi in a row. I'd be into it if they went a little cyber-punky for the next Sentai.

Why not one based on the Ocean? We've seen aquatic mecha as support. (Hurricanger, Shurikenger, Ninninger, Goseiger) Why not a team of 3 to start? And the premise is the Villains are after all of Earths resources, but start in the ocean?

An ocean/sea/water based series would certainly be an interesting change of pace. This looks like a job for Aquaman, indeed~

if they used marine life as the ranger motifs, they'd have a HUGE variety of animals to draw from, heh. Would be a surprise to see sharks or whales in consecutive Sentai series, though.

Well, with the sheer amount of sea life, sharks might not need to be used (Though they probably would be, anyway).

At this point, ANYTHING'S better than Zyuohger!

I don't care, I hate Zyuohger.

There's a wide pool (heh, see what I did there?) of lifeforms to choose from in the aquatic world.

how about a science fantasy show with a alchemy theme? (considering that science fantasy isn't a genre that gets explored very often)

Could the mechas be separate vehicles or a spaceship like Galaxy Mega ?

Wanna try an aircraft theme? it might be nostalgia with Jetman. But the motifs is pure aircraft. Not a bird theme that fuse with jetplane.
And they will have a fast movement and flight ability like Iron Man.

Red: Bomber Plane ( Mix of B2 and F117, you can google it) It will form the main body from head, chest and legs.
Blue: Modern Jet ( inspired by F22 raptor) will form the right or left hand.
Green: Classic Jet (inspired from any propelled plane from World War), will form the left or right hand.
Yellow: Sea Plane ( Right Leg armor)
White: Air Ambulance ( Left Leg armor)

Grey: Supersonic Jet (will have it's own mecha form and gattai with main team mecha like Optimus + Jetfire from TF2 movie)

Hm...I really want mixing themes between cars and time travel. Hmm...maybe hover car time machine. I think the futuristic hover car without wheels concept is still not yet used in Super Sentai robots.

Hmm..the new time travel Super Sentai series should be come from different future year. Hmm..I think if they from year 10.000 A.D. will be really interesting.

I just want to get 100% away from animal motifs again. Seems like they do that every so often, last time with ToQger...I'm ready.
