I was astonished to find out that in order for Ghost to go into its mid season upgrade, the main character had to use a completely different belt. SO maybe it'll be something like that? |

So this is pretty odd and I've been thinking about it and...it's odd. Based on the episode titles we've gotten the Gekitotsu Robots episode should be at the end of October. And according to the catalog, that's when the Gashat comes out. However...also according to the catalog, it's not actually going to be revealed/go up for preorder until November, which...what? How does that work?
Robots is probably the one I'm looking forward to the most so I hope there aren't any actual problems getting it... |

LVUR03 Kamen Rider Snipe Shooting Gamer:
https://scontent.fcgk3-1.fna.fbcdn.n...97&oe=58673287 Source: GameRiderNews.tumblr.com |
Just paid off Taddle Quest. Guess I'm in this for the long haul now.
Been looking around, actually looks like buying the Gamer Driver from HLJ is going to be my best bet even at full price. SAL is available for it from them so it comes down to just under 70 bucks. Manda on the other hand only has around 3k+ plus options for shipping, so even if it was a little cheaper (and everything that's show up thus far has been 6k) it's...pretty bad. Probably won't buy a Driver anytime soon anyway cause lol 70 bucks but eh. Anyway, the latest episode reveals the Proto Might Action X Gashat does actually have different sounds than the regular MAX, at least for Level 2. Instead of "Mighty Jump! Mighty Kick! Mighty Mighty Action X!" PMAX has "Mighty Jump! Mighty Kick! Mighty Action X!" with the "Mighty Action" being more drawn out and singsong like. Not a big difference but it's something. Certainly makes it appear more worth getting. edit: actually here's a video so you can actually hear it. |

Considering getting the Driver and Gashats, Bakusou Bike comes with the Driver on HLJ, right?

Haven't seen any Genm MA-X Gashats so far, am I simply looking in the wrong places? |

That one is a special campaign item. Starts November 19th. Possibility of getting it is if you buy a Gamer Driver or a Gashacon Weapon. Highly possible Genm's Bugvisor is released around that time |

Needless to say getting PMAX is gonna be a veritable pain in the ass. I'm just gonna keep my Bugvisor pre order and pray I get lucky tbh. |
There is no way that they wouldn't line up the bugvisor with the campaign. This is pretty much the same promotion they did with proto-drive's shift car and how they lined it up with the DX Signal Axe.
I'm sure one of the main reasons they are doing this campaign is to guarantee the bugvisor sells, especially if they are releasing an item down the line that combines with it. |

On the other hand, the Beat and Chambara Gashats are both listed as releasing mid-November, and since I doubt they're coming out on the same day I assume that means the 12th and 19th. Which would mean the Bugvisor is definitely out on the 26th. Jet Combat almost definitely is, in any case. Then again, it's not like everything on these catalogs is always completely set in stone or anything. I don't know why they wouldn't just release the Bugvisor when the campaign starts, honestly. Just saying though, based on what information we have, this stuff isn't lining up. |

Though, the whole "Double Gamer" thing has me intrigued. It's obviously some kind of double gashat a la the Extreme Memory, but what's this about the LVUR having 2 figures? Does he become 2 Ex-Aids at once? Or, Ex-Aid and Genm i guess? Curiouser and curiouser... |
I almost hope Ex-Aid kills my will to spend money on it by the time this stuff is out like Ghost did because, if real, pretty much all of it sounds too fantastic not to buy. At the least I need the Legend Gashats...and Ex-Aid's new ones...and the double gear..and the GENM stuff...and the case.
I hope we get scans soon. Maybe it'll all look crappy and I can bring myself to skip...some of it. |
So this upgrade is gonna make EX-aid into the Mario Bros? Okay lol.
Actually I think this could be a really awesome idea. I kike the idea of Riders cloning themselves (Gatakiriba, Dragotimer) but usually it's prohibitvley expensive to do CG for all the clones or it gets usurped by the final form. Since it's just two suits, it's a hell of a lot more manageable and still can do some of the vool clone things. Quote:

So I guess Ghost's Gashat not being in that Rider Gashat lineup sort of unofficially confirms that the one coming with the 3DS game is Ghost, huh?
I really don't want to drop the money on it, but if the others are getting DX releases it'll look weird having a gap. Damn. |
Since Genm wearing Gashacon Bugvisor and Bugster buckle when he using Dangerous Zombie Gashat and become Genm Zombie Gamer Level X, so from now Graphite Bugster has huge chance as Genm's true identity because Graphite Bugster wearing a black belt and his belt has same shape with Gashacon Bugvisor

Looking back over the catalog scans, I'm curious as to how the LVUR version of Paradox will work. Is LVUR going to contain two different figures, or is it going to be a single figure involving parts-switching? I noticed that the gauntlets on Fighter form appear to be the same shape as the shoulderpads on Puzzle form, so I wonder if they're reversible.
Although Ex-Aid Double Action looks like two releases, with one side coming with the weapon and half the faceplate, and the other coming with the other half, as well as an entire Level 1 shell. (Meaning that if you want to display two LVUR figures at Level 1 at a time, you don't have to buy LVUR 01 twice.) Something else I noticed is that, if I'm interpreting the tiny LVUR section of the scans properly, neither Genm nor Paradox come with parts to reproduce Level 1 forms. They don't appear to have the kibble backpacks, either. This might be less surprising for Genm since it's an upgrade to a Rider that already has a Level 1 form, but it's notable that Paradox - theoretically a sixth Rider - may not have one. |
It makes sense if we take into account that the main purpose of the Level 1 forms--of the Gamer Driver, really--is saving people by defeating the Bugsters. Level 1 specifically is designed to do this with the initial manifestation of the Bugster virus. It wouldn't make sense for the Buggle Driver to replicate the Level 1 feature, being Bugster tech, and Paradox doesn't use the Gamer Driver either.
At least, that's the in-universe reason they've already sort of worked into the story. Even outside of all that, though, I figure they decided while designing this stuff that Level 1/X forms would just be Gamer Driver things. Paradox even has his own back-gimmick based on the Gear Dual, as he apparently has a big gear on his back that changes his forms when turned (somehow). |

The Mask of Puzzle Gamer is on the back of Fighting Gamers head. You can see the collar on Fighting that becomes that weird turtleneck for Puzzle. Same goes for Fighting Gamers gloves that have the same shape as Puzzle Gamers shoulderpads. The Chesplate will change accordingly. |
Hm. Yeah, I can see how that would work.
Kinda...hoping that's just for the toy. The suits would look a lot worse if their back halves were the other color. Here's to hoping I guess. |

The catalog description for LVUR14 says "Turn the dial to switch between Puzzle Gamer Level 50 and Fighter Gamer Level 50." I don't know if that is explaining the character in the show or if the figure actually has some sort of mechanism for switching between the two. Though I think your right about it being reversible as for its price I can't see it having anything too complicated. |
All Gasshats back in stock on AmiAmi!
|
HLJ also...
Well. Kinda regret getting Shakariki Sports from Manda now. Didn't think it was gonna get a reissue... Also BangBang Shooting is out. HLJ says they've got low stock but I still haven't gotten a payment request. Whatever I guess. Last week TQ was discontinued before I got mine... Anyway, if SS went back in stock this gives me hope HLJ will get the Slot Holder again sometime. Need Bakusou Bike but would prefer not to have to buy and ship it by itself if I can avoid it. |
Shakariki Sports still in stock on AmiAmi:

Dammit. My inability to get that Gashat easily has been what's keeping me away from the Ex-Aid toy line entirely.
MUST... RESIST... |
Does anyone blow on their gashats when they don't work properly in the Gamer Driver?

I got the LVUR Ex-Aid and Brave in the mail today, as well as the Taddle Quest Gashat.
I noticed that the LVUR figures have round ports on their lower legs, forearms, upper arms, and heads. For Brave, this allows his shield to be plugged in differently, but I assume their primary purpose is to connect to the Level 3 Gamers. The instructions also point out that the Gamer Driver and Kimewaza Slot Holder are removable, so it's conceivable that this will be relevant to later forms. These figures are a strange mix of high-quality and low-end. The Level 2 forms are well-molded and well-articulated*. The thigh swivels used for the Level 1 gimmick extend the leg articulation even further. A lot of care and attention went into getting the heads and chest details to look right. The left side of the chestplate isn't perfect due to the plastic cover being a little too thick, but the right side looks great, as does Ex-Aid's visor. There are many respects in which you could mistake these for Figuarts. The attention to detail stops at the paint. Ex-Aid includes the Gashacon Breaker in both modes, and neither is painted. There's no paint on the Kimewaza Slot Holder (rendered in black), and the paint on the Gamer Driver is neon green with only the pink of the handle. It's not nothing, but it looks cheap and partially undercuts the positive qualities of these figures. The Breaker is supposed to look like a cheap toy, but not *that* cheap. Molding detail on the Driver is there, though, so you can clearly make out the tiny "Gamer Driver" text. Brave's Gashacon Sword gets a little paint around the blade element area: orange for fire and silver (as opposed to the blue I'd've expected) for the ice side. This causes the strange effect of the weapons looking awful from a foot away, but showing great molded detail up-close. I'm biased against the Level 1 forms - I just don't like how they look - but I'd hoped that these figures would cause me to warm to them. Nope. The Level 1 form only looks semi-okay from the front, and unless you want to buy a second Ex-Aid (or wait until Double Action), only one Rider can be in Level 1 form at a time. Level 1 is mostly a brick. The only articulation points are ball joints at the shoulders and swivels at the wrists. You can't quite get Level 1's arm into a dai henshin position. This version of Level 1 won't be Mario-jumping, and the angle of the arms makes the poses you *can* manage awkward. You can clearly see Ex-Aid's level 1 hair behind the Level 1 faceplate. Brave as level 1 looks a little better, since the top-crest on Brave's head can be reversed. You know what looks better than Brave at Level 1? Brave at Level 2. The same goes for Ex-Aid. Fortunately, it seems as though the LVUR line will at least partially abandon the Level 1 portion of the gimmick after this initial wave, and I assume it will focus on later level-ups like Level 3 going forward. I think the base figures are great given the price point. People who like the Level 1 forms are probably better off waiting for the web exclusive Level 1 and the inevitable Figuarts edition of Level 2. I've made some fairly critical comments here, so I suppose I should clarify that I'm glad I bought these, and so far, I think I want to pursue this toy line. The LVUR Ex-Aid makes a much better stand-in for the Figuarts versionthan the GC Ghost Ore Damashii figure did. The Level 1 gimmick strikes me as a waste, but the Level 2 forms are good enough to make me overlook it. (And right when I hit "post" on this, I realized that Brave and Ex-Aid are definitely missing some black paint for helmet details.) * - The articulation does not extend to their heads. Ex-Aid's head is on a ball joint, but the green collar piece limits its range significantly. For whatever reason (the narrow jaw?), Brave has greater range. |
