Finally had this bad boy arrive today!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04292.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04294.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04295.jpg Time to rearrange the display again. :D One minor issue with mine is the right shoulder crystal with the paint scuff, but it's not a big deal. I may try to touch it up later. I will say that they improved the articulation quite a bit compared to Godzilla. If this is an indication of how the line evolves. King Ghidorah is going to be a huge treat! |

Congrats Gojira Prime on getting Space Godzilla. Well my replacement one arrived and I'm going to do see if anything is wrong with it. So I'm hoping its not, maybe some minor paint scuffs, but hopefully nothing that would upset me in the long run.
|
^Thanks^
I'm hoping you don't have any issues with your replacement SG, and get to enjoy an awesome figure! |

Me too. Because good lord he looks evil as hell and I like it. |
Well the good news is the replacement SpaceGodzilla is pretty much okay no popped off arm or anything a minor paint scuff on one of the lower canines, but that'll be an easy fix so all and all I'm happy.

Bluefin Tamashii is conducting a poll for the Monsterarts line:
http://www.facebook.com/questions/428660600486444/ Go put in your votes! I already put in mine. I want my MA Titanosaurus! :D |
Speaking of the awesomeness that is Space Godzilla, does anyone need one? :)

You know what really sucks is that I missed out of the Garuda set. Man, I like to get it because Mechagodzilla feels "naked" or "incomplete" without it.
|
I've promised/ordered myself that once we've moved into our new house at the end of June, I'm opening and reviewing all my SHM stuff (I own everything, including the accessory packs, through MOGUERA but haven't opened anything yet).
|
You'll have fun arranging the effects pack. I just got done rearranging my MA display. Insomnia will do that. :p ...

I'm going to need it soon, whether I order Mogera, or my preorder for Little G comes in later this month. Speaking of which, does anybody know the release date for Little G? |

I was going to place a pre-order for MOGERA from the BBTS site because I saw him offered there earlier, but now he's missing? What's the deal?

Are the ''Special effects parts'' still only with the initial release of each figure or will later runs be without them?

Bluefin Tamashii just posted this on their Facebook page with a small teaser:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../cosmothra.jpg https://www.facebook.com/Tamashii.USA They also quoted the following: Mothra is sad there is no S.H. MonsterArts Mothra...yet ;D Pic via Squishy taken at Akon http://www.flickr.com/photos/dmgice/...7629993094702/ Maybe we'll see a proto at SDCC! |
Bluefin is starting to post this image around the net:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._AA1084_.jpg Looks like he'll be hitting very soon! |
Space Godzilla got a buddy to destr...er, play with today. :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04673.jpg I'll mess around with Mogera in a bit. |
Got to actually play around with my recently aquired Mogera, and snap a few pics.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04676.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04674.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04679.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/DSC04681.jpg I have to admit that Mogera turned out really nice for the Monsterarts line even though he isn't my favorite mech. I couldn't find any real QC issues with this figure. Tamashii seems to be getting better with those type of problems. If there was a complaint, while having a good deal of points of articulation, movement can be somewhat limited. It's more of a design flaw with Mogera, than a QC issue. Still, you can get some nice poses out of him. I really like the interchangeable parts that allow for his flying mode too. One of the best things about Mogera are the accessories. The missiles and effects for them are pretty neat. The smoke plumes coming out of Mogera's hands have some nicely sculpted details too. There are a number of options on how you want to display him given all the accessories. I'm glad I picked him up! Now, just waiting on Little G to finish the players from G vs. SG! |
Would anybody else buy Diorama/Building set pieces for their Monsterarts figures if Ban Dai offered them?

It seems SH Monsterarts Mothra was released early into the wild. She was chillin' in a bush in front of my house.

Images are starting to trickle out from the SDCC on Bluefin Tamashii's Facebook page and twitter:
http://www.facebook.com/Tamashii.USA http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...cexplosion.png We get a better look of the final product in and out of the box. Looks pretty sweet! I'm hoping we see some new stuff tonight! |
Another pic from SDCC:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...explosion3.png I want this diorama! I can see KG's tail on the left, and Little G on the far right. Hope we get some new reveals soon! |

Anyone make it to SDCC this year? If you made it by the bluefin booth.. Post some pics!!
I was trying like hell to find someone to pick me up a burning Godzilla but... the damn hasbro booth was all they were going to. Guess I'm gonna have to pay a ebay premium Quote:
I'm using the S.H. Monsterarts in a 1:500 scale due to several reasons. 1- I've found plenty of ship models in this scale to do dioramas 2- The t-gauge scale train (1:450) is damn close enough 3- Herpa planes and airports are in the 1:500 scale. This one also offers several buildings, people and more so this isn't so hard to come by. Not as much as whats offered in 1:700 but still quite a bit. And since the figure is about 6" tall that would put him about 1:500 (if you went by the 80 meter height) he would be 77 meters tall in this scale. This is what I found for a run down on his height changes over the years Showa series era 1954-1975- 50 meters tall (164') Heisei series era 1984-1989- 80 meters tall (262') 1991-1995- 100 meters tall (328') The S.H. Monsterarts so far have featured monsters from this era Millennium series era 2000-2004- 80 meters tall (262') |
The particular Godzilla that exists in MonsterArts is actually 100 meters tall in the films and is approximately 1:700 scale, which doesn't have very much to choose from unfortunately.
King Ghidorah has been listed for $124.99 at Amazon.com last week and I've updated the thread with his listing. Amazon doesn't have the SDCC Explosion Godzilla yet but BBTS does if you missed it! Ships in August and is $74.99: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...53&mode=retail |

Could there be any excuse for releasing that sculpt in non-burning form? They just seem to have learned so much about incorporating the articulation since the first figure.

As much as it would cost me, I would buy this figure again in non-burning form. The sculpt really appeals to me. |
