Yeah, i'm tired of the current zords/mechas designs.

The fact that Hasbro's design team now has experience making good combining action figures gives me some hope for future Megazords. I get the feeling Saban was real tired of the shoestring approach BoA has taken for years. I imagine Hasbro showed them what they could do on the same budget as BoA and Saban was like: "Wait what..."

I know there's a chance they won't do it, but I'd love to have a 6 inch Megazord line like the SRC Megazord.

Maybe because they'll only make combiner Megazords or Build-A-Figures. Build-A-Figure could give us that but I prefer it to be a separate line on its own and leave the Build-A-Figures for other characters.

In art, a horizontal field of view can vary in size based upon what is between the horizon and the center point. If it was truly filler, it would have been in the middle range, not the back.

The horizon can be adjusted and cutting out those Rangers could have done just as easily of they didn't mean something.

I hope we still end up getting some original zords. Those were nice in Dino Charge.

They've got a movie coming, and I'm 99% sure that after that they'll start another series.
Because Zords combine in all sorts of different ways, and there's the feeling they are making it harder for them to be the way they were intended in favor of shoving in Zord builder compatability.
Hasbro does a lot of shit, period. We've got one step and three step changers for kids, the show lines, Generations for older fans, and sometimes imports of Masterpiece figures for the real high end collectables.

Hasbro also has the HasbroToyStore site and their relationship with Big Bad Toystore, so it's possible they could use those for distributing the higher end stuff from Japan like SH Figurearts and Soul of Chokojin if they wanted.

Takara Tomy would get mad? Remember Takara Tomy and Bandai are huge rivals in Japan. And Hasbro won't want to piss off Takara too much because they co-own Transformers with Hasbro.

So wait, Hasbro's going to be releasing the new Power Rangers toys from April 2019 on? Well that's interesting. Because when does Super Ninja Steel end and the next season begin? The reason I'm asking is if they are doing a two year show that would mean they'd be switching midway through it. So either we are getting a switch between companies in the middle of a show, we are getting a bit of a break between Super Ninja Steel's line and the new one, or we are getting one year shows.

They can’t. Hasbro has pre-existing agreements with TakaraTomy, whom they co-own, and more importantly, co-produce, Transformers with. As one of their huge moneymakers, Hasbro couldn’t afford to lose that ownership (and with all they money they’ve pumped into saving the film franchise after Michael Bay’s departure, they are looking at bolstering it instead).

TakaraTomy and Bandai are HUGE rivals in Japan, and Hasbro would never want to make an enemy of TakaraTomy. I imagine that this deal will already have shaken the waters between them, and so Hasbro will want to lean away from deepening ties with Bandai, not toward it.

Takara and Hasbro are more like sister companies than rivals. Why do you suppose the upcoming Power of the Primes line by Takara is actually the same mainline figures that Hasbro has already put out in the west / Hasbro Asia.

This is pretty good news to hear, hasbro is one of those companies that tends to not screw up horrendously too terribly often.

I am okay with them having a monopoly on the toy market as long as the quality stays high.

The problem is that it isn't. They use it poorly, and they slapped ports onto figures just to force more intractability, making the designs worse for wear because of it.
The other problem is that ZB goes hand in hand with BOA's cheapening and oversimplification of the figures.

You're both missing the point. Clearly there were issues with the way Bandai implimented it, but the concept itself is fine. Why toss it out completely rather than just do it right?

Because it can't be done right.
The mecha aren't built to be universal, so forcing them to just brings more problems, either in forcing needless redesigns so that arms/legs can use it, or gutting gimmicks.
KyurenOh isn't designed in a way to accommodate ZB, unless they gut the electronics and make the Shishi Voyager's Kyutama ports come off for the ZB system.

That area is considered part of Japan's overall market, and thus Toei holds distribution rights for Power Rangers in those areas, and has selected Bandai Japan (and even Bandai America) for toy production/distribution.

Usually, Power Rangers is simply a dub name for the Sentai show, and the toys are all Bandai Japan imports.
