Amazon was pulled for being too gory...but it was about a guy even friendlier than Gentaro. It was still a fairly lighthearted show.

Eh, Steven Universe at least has done wonders for LGBTI+ awareness, even though most are really bland. Teen Titans Go! is especially baffling compared to the original Teen Titans (even if that, itself, was heavily watered down compared to the comics).

Are the early years of Phase I Heisei (pre-second half of Kabuto) too much to ask for? That' pretty much what I would like out of Rider again. W, Gaim and Build are the closest to it.

I give you that on Steven Universe. I'm not a big fan of it, but I give it A for effort. I can't get into most kids shows because they don't appeal to me, but I do respect Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Gravity Falls and the last Thundercats shows for trying to be something fresh & different than the typical junk food show (Yes, I know that Japan has plenty of junk food Shonen anime for kids too).

As much as I hate the post-W Foundation X, if Zi-O is to be an anniversary series, they would make sense as the main antagonists.

I just love Kamen Rider pretty much any way I get it - even when Inoue is writing it with, yet another, hangover on the subway in to a production meeting with Jon Toei. I don't care if it's campy and goofy or dark and mysterious.- I love this show about sci-fi bug guys using their magical belts to fight back against their fascist oppressors.

If they're gonna do Foundation X they already put themselves in a corner, Heisei Generations Final establishes Foundation X isn't a thing in Build's world as Build is in a parallel world. Zi-O will obviously cameo in the Build movie too

They don't seem to care a whole heck of a lot about continuity over at Toei.

I mean, we didn't know Build was from parallel world till Heisei Gens Final. Sure it was obvious and like Kyuranger it didn't really need confirmation that it was in a parallel world but the confirmation is always nice.

Just cause Build's in a different world doesn't mean Zi-O will be too, for all we know Build/Cross-Z accidentally open up a portal and Zi-O pops out to help the Riders before popping back out. Not to mention these cross-overs never really bother with continuity anyway, case in point Ghost in the Drive movie/finale, the Kyurangers in the Zyuoh vs Ninin movie. True Ending and Heisei Generations was just one of the few times they bothered.

Actually I remember Ghost's appearance in the Drive finale was canon in Ghost's show, it explained where he got the Newton Eyecon

Ah I'm mis remembering it then. Even so, he has the Newton eyecon in the movie too, not to mention both the movie and the Drive finale take place before Takeru even gets his powers.

Zi-O will probably be jumping between worlds anyway having to deal with both Build's world and the Legend Rider's world, unless they go for AR worlds again.

I like the AU "what if" concept. It'd be nice for Kamen Rider to revisit that for the 20th Heisei series (10th since W).

Otherwise, I welcome a light and fun series. IMO, there's been too many edgy and dark/mature shows recently (as fun as they are). So having something that can give us a laugh or two while still being wildly awesome, spectacular, and with a riveting story to boot, would be a nice change of pace.

If they can do it better than Decade fine by me.
Another option I wanna see is a Kamen Rider who lives in a world like ours where Riders are fiction.

My only problem with Decade wasn't the execution, it was that it just... stopped.

Those images are fake; obviously photoshopped Build and W together and colored it different.

What I digged up from those links:

Air weapon is most likely just an inflatable toy that is in the shape of a weapon from the show.

The watch is probably just a generic digital watch with Zi-O logo and graphic slapped on it.

The "roleplay item" is marked as 200 yen each and 5 in total.

Possible gimmick items are gonna be a total of 6 per wave, 500 yen each sold in capsule format.

a separate lineup of gashapon items will be sold in July. Going to the links that direct to Amazon and Rakuten pages, they are marked from 10000 to 12000 yen, which I am assuming is the total for all of the items. They did not specify what they are but I am gonna assume it is one of those keychains or mini non-articulate figures.

Next Kamen Rider Series Gashapon Details Revealed

Some early details have been learned about Kamen Rider Zi-O, the show that debuts after Kamen Rider Build.

Japanese toy provider Chappy has put up listings for a few Gashapon offerings which are specifically titled “The show after Kamen Rider Build“.

There are no photos or details about what these items could be, but the listings include Big Size Air Weapon, Interlocking Item 01 and 02, and Digital Watch.

With the exception of watches, these are the same sort of offerings seen in more recent series such as Kamen Rider Build and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.

The term “Interlocking Item” has also been used for those aforementioned series in reference to their transformation items, the Fullbottles and Rider Gashats, which means that the next series may focus on transformation items that are inserted into a transformation belt rather than use scannable item like cards or medals.

All of these listings have a release date of late September, giving a vague idea of when the next show will debut. Kamen Rider Build debuted on September 3rd, with GP Fullbottle 01 releasing in late September, which means it’ll likely conclude at the end of August or the start of September.

According to the listings, more information on the Gashapon listings – which likely includes the series itself – will be revealed in mid July. Information on Kamen Rider Build was similarly made available at the same time last year.
