I don't know about that. The lead is usually always predicted a month before the conference but that's usually based on the results of past D-boys or Junon Super Boy contests. We already have a rumor based on that so he could be our leading rider.

Poppy was Jiro Uchikawa, who also played Brave and Lazer's level 1 suit actor.

Ride Player Nico was Satoshi Fujita, who also played Ex-Aid level 1 and level X, Snipe level 1, Genm level 1, Lazer's forms above level 3, Maximum Gamer, Lazer Turbo level 0.

Takaiwa played Ex-Aid level 2 and most of his other individual forms + Ex-aid Level XX R(the orange one).

Who are the rumored actors? I missed that detail somewhere.

Looking at them now in relation to the belt, I think they are meant to invoke hourglasses.

This has fun written all over it.
The wrist device layout even kind of looks like the vhs turn wheels placement and has the matching insides to those to fill the space. Slightly larger of course, but still a neat accidental design thing.

Possibly a double reference there. Potentially three layer if you count the Ashton Kutcher movie. The butteryfly effect helmet could also be a "gate" helmet too with the curve lower inside to represent two gate doors either connected backwards to make butterfly wings, or to symbolize a smaller gate in the middle for better flair and to make the 'gates' fit the helmet better instead of them looking like they are opening and being more arch shaped.

Really digging Zi-O's base design though. Especially the gloves.

Surprised no one has brought up the design similarities to the batman villain Clock King though. Which kind of adds further fuel to the fire of why this one has to be a woman rider.

Do like the power up suit designs, but I could do without those shoulder pieces. Hopefully those will be easily removable on the figure series with a neat storage method, and some other kind of power up for streamlined shoulders will come later. It's the only thing I don't like about the designs at all, other than that, they are perfection.

Starting to think that concept of a shorter series to a longer series may end up being true too, but the two series are connected and they come back around to Ji-O after it with a follow up. So possibly some big "Foundation X" in the second series stuff if that's what happens. Which would make sense. Decade to W and W was allegedly same universe as Rider 01/02/V3 as was Decade and DiEnd technically. And that's where Foundation X is. Which as hidden nods go, a "TimeX watch" seems like the perfect hidden way to allude to that.

Getting some major Doctor Who 50th kind of vibes off of this as a build up to a massive 50th rider celebration and dawn of a new era after.

I like the main rider design but I’m not a fan of the legend rider trinket idea either.

I really like how Zi-O and Gates are based on different watches. Zi-O has a Rolex design and Gates has a G-Shock design.

Well, it's about time this design came about. I really like it. The words on the masks is kind of wild, I'm more about the compound eye lenses. Still, looking forward to this, the belt has a real Gaim feel.

Nagao Shiori (from idol group SUPER☆GiRLS) and Sou Okuno (2017's Junon Superboy winner). Nothing on who they will be playing though, looks like it's just a guess based on that earlier rumor that Nagao will be Zi-O while Sou will play Gates.

I'm fascinated by the Armor Time design detail of the collectible widgets as shoulderpads. If not for the Drive design (tires rather than shift cars), I'd assume they'd do that for all the forms. Maybe Toei is still kicking around how to integrate Ride Cards, Medals, and... oh, snap! Den-O didn't have a collectible widget.

Also, whoever said they kinda hate Legend Rider forms: PREACH. While they're occasionally diverting (Drive Orange Arms), they've been done so regularly they're not special anymore. I can't complain too much this year since that's clearly going to be the theme, and it's at least being implemented in a slightly more interesting manner than, say, Ghost did.

So they're going for heads-only on the Legend Rider trinket designs again. I can't wait to see how they try and get around Ichigo and Nigo, lol.

That's if they even make Nigo. When was the last time a not-Ichigou Showa rider got a collectible? Gaim, 5 years ago, and that was a big Premium Bandai Exclusive. That's even happened to all the Heisei Riders recently, come to think of it.

That's true, and if this was like any other series I wouldn't even be considering it -- but the entire gimmick of this series is using previous riders as powerups. So I think it's more than fair to assume we would get the Showa riders at some point, even if as exclusive items.

Plus it looks like the watches have pins AND sounds so that means the belt can just read the year date of 1971 and the watch yells "ICHIGO/NIGO"

I guess this is true. I'm just pessimistic, since we didn't even get pre-Decade this time around. But yeah, hopefully, with the gimmick being past Riders, we'll get at least a couple of Showa eras.

Scans show Faiz and Ryuki at least get Gashapon watches, so who knows?

So all the Heisei rider forms will appear between the start and December. So that's a similar timespan as last year GorillaMond => OctopusLight.

Decade is a big upgrade form so I am going to assume it's the mid upgrade. I don't really know what else they'll do for forms after this. The rumor that the show will be a shorter season seems more and more likely.

As for the scans themselves, count me as excited. Decade being the upgrade form is amazing and I really like the toys for the most part.

I think the Decade Ride Watch is for Super Form similar to RabbitTank Sparkiling Full Bottle for Build RabbitTank Sparkling. Probably Zi-O Decade Armor will be appeared in episode 14 just like Build RabbitTank Sparkling. Zi-O still has chance to be longer than Decade series.....

Mostly Mid Season Uprgade are in in episode 20s.....

But what will they do for the rest of the series? Start exploring the Showa era? Go to the different movie continuities? Amazons timeline? I mean the show could have an original story to work off of but it seems the focus is on commemorating 20 years of Heisei Riders. If they go through all 19 previous characters in 14 episodes, I can't really see it being any longer than Decade.

I do agree about Decade being a Super Form. In the image below, when he mixes the Build RideWatch with Decade's, he gets a form like RabbitTank Sparkling. So maybe Agito would get Burning, Ghost with Toucon Boost, etc.

I think Zi-O will be similar to Gokaiger, some episode are focused to tribute for past Rider series, some episode are non-tribute episodes.....

Non-tributes episode will be more focused to Zi-O himself and other Zi-O Riders like Gate, or just filler episodes....

Gokaiger had the releases staggered though. So we would get fillers and tribute episodes between new toy releases. If Zi-O is anything like Build, we are going to be seeing a new Rider Armor almost every week. That's too fast. Unless they gain the RideWatch first and then go back to do a tribute episode later in the season. I mean it's possible.

I honestly don't expect this show to last past April, when the abdication is supposed to happen. Toei has probably planned around the era change.

Bit sad about the OOO armour being based on easily Eiji's worst form. Blech. Gimme some Tajador.

There has been a persistent rumor that Zi-O will be a short series & end in April- meaning the last Heisei Rider will conclude WITH the Heisei Era & the Emperors' abdication.

Front-loading the first round of merchandise with all Heisei Riders might support this...

I continue to love everything about this show. I mean damn they are going full force here and killing it! Loving the Rider Kicks stuff, and that Time Majin will 100% be joining my collection. Frankly half this line will be.

From the looks of it, the pieces with yellow or gold trimmings on them access Rider forms based on final forms. Kiva's looks like Emperor and OOO is hands down Super TaToBa (Which I guess also kinda...confirms once and for all what his final form is.)

If that's the case, it supports the fact that the Drive form looks like Type Tridoron and not Type Speed.

Is it just me or are zi-o's best forms so far are the decade, ooos, and fourze forms he takes on?

Every year I tell myself I won't buy the toys. Every year I'm wrong. This is the first year since Fourze I have preemptively decided I'm going all in. I'm scared, save me.

Toei's having way too much fun with this. Hope it translates well to the show as equally fun.

Glad to see the shoulders are a bit more toned down than previous art made it seem. Those seem much more manageable, and still cool looking.

Though, uh, that entire arm device with power up armors +the robo that can alternate how it looks, seems oddly familiar... In a good way.

Compare it more to Decade on episode spacing then. Gokai had a longer time frame to space things out, whereas Decade had to cram minimum 9 rider series into 30+ episodes. So this looks similar with covering 19 series within that same rough episode count. Doable, but a brisk pace, and will likely setup something for later too or have some kind of massive movie thing like Decade did and extra specials.

So the Decade to W transition is a better thing to compare/analyze than the Gokai specials, though seemingly this might have some nods to Sentai in it. Seems rather perfect now that this rider has a robo. Like the enemy Robo in some of the other Rider spinoff specials/vs movies. Now it won't be only J with a giant decade driver.
