With the excitement out the way, let's get to some details!

The two figures announced tonight are the previously leaked Hibiki and the newly announced Decade!

Hibiki is an October release who retails for 3740 yen!

Decade is a December release who retails for 3540 yen!


Let's start with Hibiki. As leaked, he's built with newly developed parts that accurately reflect his, well, reflective look! He's a very shiny man, and befitting his very slightly higher pricetag, he comes with a lot. His Henshin Onsa; his Ongekibou Rekka and flame effect parts for those; and even a giant version of his Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi for his finishers! ... that's tuning fork, drumsticks and big drum for those of you who aren't massive Hibiki nerds like me.

And onto tonight's big surprise which was amazingly predicted in this thread, Decade! No special plastic injection here - they really went all out on Hibiki of all riders, and I ain't complaining - but that just means he's a standard release, which is never bad for this line! Especially when it means he comes with everything he could need -- all three forms of the Ride Booker; an alternate Neo Decadriver from his Zi-O appearances; and a fair few cards! The description shows just Kuuga, Decade, Zi-O and Final Attack, but one of the images shows Faiz as well. I'm assuming it'll be a few cards with a lot of optional stickers.

That is a point, he unfortunately doesn't seem to come with a Violent Emotion head. Still, I hardly feel I have room to complain given how good this is! Maybe a premium bandai Diend or Decade Complete would come with it, like how Amazing Mighty comes with Rising Mighty parts?

Hm... Maybe I'll source the VE head from the converge head. Seen a few JP artist use the converge figures to make their "SS Blade' customs.

A Premium Bandai Diend would be a godsend. I wouldn't even care if it's P-Bandai! I just need a Diend in the shelf! Based Bandai!

Now, if they could just do Blade, Ryuki, and Kiva next.

Well, with these reveals; we're now up to half the Heisei Riders -- Kuuga, Faiz, Hibiki, Kabuto, Den-O, Decade, W, Ex-Aid, Build and Zi-O. 10/20!

Which leaves Agito, Ryuki, Blade, Kiva, OOO, Fourze, Wizard, Gaim, Drive and Ghost. Not a lot of the Heisei 1s!

Also, I never noticed the silver part of the Decadriver was black in the Neo version. Huh. Also, the belt strap kinda looks detached from the hips, so I wonder if it's removable. See if I can stick it on my SS OOO. Another thing to note is that the eyes aren't far apart. Almost similar to the SHF 1.0. The SS SHF has a space between the eyes that kinda signify where the suit actor would see, but it's absent here. Very cool, like seeing two different suits.

It should be very possible to put the Decadriver on any other FRS Rider, but I really wouldn't get your hopes up for compatibility with Seihous. If you have any other FRSes around you right now though, might as well take their belt off and test it out!

Both figures look awesome! I can't believe they went through all that for the Decade head parts separation. Bravo!

With the disappointment that is Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise, the Kamen Rider Figure-Rise kits have been my most anticipated plamo kits by a longshot.

I have Build but only the belt proper can be removed and not the strap. Ex aid's strap does but not in a orthodox way. And from Hobby Search's images, Kuuga's belt is removable too.

I think it's just the slight bevel of the edge the eyes that's creating a reflection that makes it look like a gap. To me it looks like the eyes go all the way to the middle.

Oh, and while I'm here taking pictures; I decided to do a little Zi-O and Ex-Aid belt swap to see how well the Decadriver might work on them! So here's Emu Hojou; the King of Time and Sougo Tokiwa, who 100% plays minecraft!

It... -kind of- works. See, the method the belts attach is the same on both figures... but the size of the holes and allowances they have are very different. So while I could put the Zikku Driver into Ex-Aid just fine, the Gamer Driver was refusing to go into Zi-O and I had to force it between his joints and rely on friction.

It's... kind of annoying that it's this way? It makes Decadriver prospects a lot less promising, and I'm not sure why they didn't just make the insides and attachments of the belts the same mold.

I've never understood why there isn't a line of belt swap figures for Decade. Even back when Decade was airing, the gimmick line of figures had the Riders changing into their "final form rides" instead of utilizing the belt swap gimmick.

My guess is that it would just have been very boring as a main feature. As a little extra thing you could do, sure, but "Den-O can have a slightly different belt swapped onto him" isn't nearly as eye-grabbing as "Den-O can transform into Momotaros!"

In lines like this though, it just makes sense to me to have the belts all generally be the same so the Decadriver can be slotted on as an extra feature. SHFs have allowances for it, at least.

I agree that as a transforming gimmick it would have been a bit boring, but man it sure would have made for better figures. Those transforming Decade figures are downright fugly.

Yeaaah, there's a reason I singled out Den-O... because he's the only one that actually looks decent and has a worthwhile transformation gimmick. All the others look awful and honestly invite some bizarre body horror

Thanks! I’ll probably be getting Ex Aid at some point. Even if these don’t quite fit in with Sodo I might be able to have an Avengers x Kamen Rider using my Marvel Legends.

I find him a very fun figure, and easily my favourite out of him and Zi-O! The eyes especially pop :D

Just be mindful of course that the stickering on him takes... quite a while. Worth it in the end though, I think!

I've always thought of picking up ZI-O and Geiz, maybe for their weapons, but I really couldn't justify paying 50$ only so I could grab their weapons when I already havet he SHFs. ...Having duplicates of the same rider is weird.

I hope secondary/tertiary/etc riders show up more. Hibiki is awesome but I’d love Ibuki, Zanki, and Todoroki given how expensive their SS SHFs are.

Though I’d settle for a complete Heisei/Neo Heisei main rider lineup.

Yeah, my main hope now is for secondaries like Cross-Z.

Do guys think that W, Ex Aid or Build are the best to get first? Ex Aid’s my favourite rider very close behind is build. I also really like W and his maximum drive gimmick accessory.

W I've heard is an extremely good starter out of all the kits due to having very few stickers; while Ex-Aid's on the opposite end of the spectrum with a metric ton of them just for the lines on his body. If you're fine with that going in, he's perfectly fine and the upside is that the result is extremely satisfying; but know what you're getting into is what I'd say.

Meant to say, by the by? These are absolutely beautiful and makes me yearn even more for Cross-Z. You can't have Sento without Banjou! That's rude!

I'd agree with the W assessment. There're very few stickers, and the assembly is super straight-forward.

I'm not sure I had that much of a problem with Ex-Aid's stickers? There are a lot of them, but they mostly layer into molded grooves. It's time consuming for sure, but it's not that demanding.

Build was my first kit, and it's the one that I'm most likely to take a second run at. Real steep learning curve on that figure, and there are mistakes I made on that one I wouldn't make after a half-dozen kits.

Oh yeah no, time-consuming is pretty much what I'd call it. There were just multiple points I was like "am I done yet? Can I play with the toy?" and I looked back over at the sticker sheet and saw it wasn't even half done and I groaned so hard. Not technically difficult, just, y'know, aaaaaaaa!
