Sabela's sword seems like a sure thing and I hope it sells well. When was the last time we got a DX weapon that was solely used by a female character? |
Yeah, count me in as very excited for a DX Typhoon and a possible DX Arcle! CSM is way above my paygrade so this would be beyond amazing.

I recently got mine, so whatever the question ask away
|
Honest to god, the only solo female rider releases I can think of recently at all are like... the Lightning Hornet key and Tokimeki Crisis gashat. Everything else that springs to mind has either been used by multiple riders (Peach Energy lockseed, Shotriser, Bugvisor Zwei, etc) or bundled with other stuff (Rushing Cheetah key, even Tsukuyomi's watch)... even if the Noroshi does end up only premium bandai, that's still pretty significant!

Wondering if there’s any idea of when the US release will be out? Tokullectibles said April, but haven’t heard anything else.
|
I have to wonder:
1. If they will fix the paint for the second release and 2. If there will be a way to tell the difference between the two. |
Well, when I get mine I'll let you know how the paint is.

Ordered mine from Tokullectibles. So I'd figure the US release to be getting to them through Bluefin whenever that happens. Now as to whether the paint will be fixed or not, I guess I'll find out.

It's the DX Arcle and not the CSM? Dangit, I gotta continue to wait then. So close...

https://toy.bandai.co.jp/item/detail/12006/?c=rider https://toy.bandai.co.jp/item/detail/12005/?c=rider I linked the two images to their respective listings but completely failed to mention that lol. I'm yet to see any kind of article/announcement/press release about these though... the usual place I'd look for things like this hasn't posted anything yet. I'd be surprised if it isn't at least mentioned in this weeks development blog though, it's 95% focused on CSM but often gives a shoutout to anything other exciting releases like these. |

I do wonder though just how much they're going to cover in this series? I'm very happy with just these two, but with the limitations in place of the low price, no moving parts and no extra items it does kinda limit what could be done. Agito and a bunch of other Showa Guys of course, but most Heisei Riders even before Decade have some sort of additional item or moving part to their belts... perhaps some of them will sacrifice extra function for things like twisting the OOO driver or including a scannable Wizard Ring? |
AGREED, the Typhoon is an absolute must-buy for me, and the Arcle I'm definitely keen for if I can manage it. Stoked for as and when we get more details on these tbh.
Hmm, I could see Agito too for sure. Den-O would be another pretty easy one, just have the buttons trigger the sequence directly and waving the rider pass be a purely imagination thing! I think that's how the last Legend Rider series approached it, though I might be wrong. Thinking about it, that series actually tackled a lot of early Heisei, including some more involved ones like Blade and Kabuto, though to be fair it was something like a decade ago so they do look pretty dated now. My suspicion this time around is they won't do anything at all that uses collectibles, purely for the sake of keeping it simpler and low cost - both in that the gimmick itself adds complexity, but also that the number of sounds required shoots right up. Honestly tho? My personal preference would be for them to go all in on Showa! It might not be the best decision in terms of sales figures, but it is the anniversary and a lot of those belts have seen virtually nothing in decades now. |

Well, somewhat unfortunate news from the development blog is that the Legend belts will seemingly only have red LEDs... not just a shame for the Arcle's form changes, but I was really hoping that Typhoon would capture the streaks of blue in the transformation too. Eh, especially for the price it's going for I can't complain too much, still a pickup!

Very nice! I'm excited for that Typhoon. The Arcle looks like its going to be hard to resist too. Just a very nice looking belt design that hides the belt loops nicely.

My CSM Sengoku Driver has arrived. Paint looks ok, no cracks that I’ve seen but I'll give it a thorough inspection.
Thorough inspection, paint has no cracks that I can see. Actar, how long was it before cracks started appearing on yours? |

I actually bought a 2nd Shipment CSM Sengoku Driver recently and it seems that Bandai has indeed switched up the paint. One of my 1st Shipment Lockseeds was cracked on arrival whereas the other two took about a week before cracks started showing up. 1st Shipment (Left) 2nd Shipment (Right) https://i.imgur.com/oBlzKfp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/P0z0VrF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4M2EyB8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0eaNEkc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5X1IDOW.jpg Also, it seems that the paint on the Pine, Ichigo, and Suika portions of the Kiwami Lockseed are prone to cracking as well, so do watch out for that as well: https://i.imgur.com/VWg1wn8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/T8jZ6QE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5N055SV.jpg |
Huh, so it's at least very likely I won't have the cracking. Still, it's a great set. I don't have a DX to compare to, but it's a really solid belt set. It's also nice that the belt works on my DX belts.
|
It's been a week and no sign of cracking, looks like they fixed the issue in time for the US release. Really enjoying the belt and lockseeds, love how they work and the clever little tricks they have. And of course the premium feel of the CSM line, with it's solid constuction and things like the filled gaps in the lock arms. Really looking forward to getting the Baron set and some Energy Lockseeds for that Genesis Core.

Looks like the Legend Rider Belt series is to cover Faiz and Fourze next! (This should maybe get its own thread, huh?)
|
Pre-orders open on September 16th for the Lockseed Gaim Set.

I love that we're still using this thread for it lol, we should really get a new one...
In any case! The listings show that Fourze's switches aren't removable and these just do the transformation and finisher. The Faiz Phone is removable and openable of course to fully replicate that transformation. I'm... not sure if you can flick Fourze's red switches to replicate that part of it? Hopefully you can. |
So... People with the US release of the Sengoku Driver...
Have there been any issues with the paint cracking? Also, just curious, were there any English instructions included? |
Yggdrasil set is to go up for pre-order on the 21st; more details to come

I've gotten all the lockseeds so far, just waiting on Yggdrasil and Helheim sets. Given they haven't released the main energy lockseeds, I'm guessing there will be a CSM Genesis driver possibly either bundled with the energy lockseeds or with them sold as a separate pack. I could wish for the weapons but those are highly unlikely, though they are making a CSM ridebooker, so who knows? |

The Genesis Driver was pretty much confirmed in the blog leading to the Sengoku Driver's release. I'm guessing it'll probably be packed alongside the remaining Energy Lockseeds, as otherwise there really wouldn't be much included in the Genesis Driver itself. As for the weapons, I wouldn't count them out just yet. The blog posts for the Sengoku Driver were subtly teasing something else compatible with the Lockseeds, so I wouldn't be suprised if the Musou Saber was released to close out the CSM Gaim line. Personally, I'm hoping for a Musou Saber and Daidaimaru set, and possibly the DJ Gun as well. |
