I'm calling this Zyuoger but with giant robots instead of furries
|

Also, they're clearly not the same suits as those local heroes. The silhouettes are totally different. They aren't even the same colors -- the Zenkaiger ones have black details with the colors, while those local heroes have white details. I've read through pages and pages of this argument on other sites and forums. The photos are Zenkaiger. Also, note that the originator of this claim on Twitter is named "tokusatsu shit post." It was literally just a joke. https://twitter.com/Tokushitpostman/...653985297?s=20 |
The yellow one looks like the yellow mystic force zord a bit. And the red one has the head of the MMPR Megazord.

EDIT: Did not see the post directly above mine, making this post kind of worthless :lol
So, uh...I still absolutely love these designs. I cannot wait to see more! |
Definitely excited for this. Already based off the Goranger/Big One and Megazord Ranger suit designs it’s already looking a hell of a lot better than the last anniversary season (Zyuohger). Now to see what their actual Zords/Megazords will look like.

And this is true I remember someone saying we saw photos of Magine and Gaon so we KNOW that theywere 100% confirmed when in fact it was a blurry pink hero and blurry yellow hero that honestly proved nothing other than MAYBE a pink and yellow robot ranger not the names or themes. Though if they were actually local heroes that makes a ton more sense especially since they did look a little more thrown together which seems to be how some local heroes tend to look. Anyways I'm not sure what to think it certainly looks different and i get it, I do hope we do get some sort of transformation sequence for the other 4- though at the same time why not just give them normal suits if doggy can detatch his muzzle, and all of Js robot bits can seemingly vanish into the form of a clearly human suit actor then why couldn't these guys? I feel they saw a positive reaction to the uniqueness of the Kyuranger suits and decided for one reason or another this was the perfect time to take that idea and kick it up a few notches. Visually it once again stretches what it means to be a sentai kinda like how gekiranger turned things upside down with the lack of belts, or Go-busters clearly looked like they were just wearing a leather shirt and pants rather than a spandex body suit. or the rather nonconformative look of the various Kyurangers. This could be a good thing but at the same time they went to an extreme so it could feel way to gimicky and bight them in the rear. I still feel its a little odd seeing a green stripe on Zenkaiser's suit. I know everyone is saying its because its a nod to Big One and Go-ranger and whatever but, they added a pink stripe so it cant be purely because of big one he had no pink stripe they could of still had a nod to him with JUST the other team colors. I feel it would of looked just fine with say Pink Blue Red Yellow then the red center stripe or space it a tiny bit so we get a white break between the yellow and the red center stripe sticking with the Pink blue red and yellow stripes. Maybe its just me I feel the inclusion of the green stripe seems kinda pointless. You wouldn't slap some random animal that never shows up on some animal themed ranger or logo just to pay tribute to some past team. Though there is a chance it could foreshadow a green 6th ranger in which case nice job just as it stands now I feel they could of still managed a tribute/homage to Big One without the green stripe. We still would of recognized 4 colored stripes on a primarily white ranger with a cape as a nod to JAKQ's Big One. |
Wow, this looks not great.
I like the idea, but the mecha have that problem many homage mecha/designs do where they're referencing a much better design and failing to capture what made the original great. I mean, Sentai has been kind of awful as far as designs and concepts for years now, but this is one where I think the concept is sound, just not the execution. The fact that Gaokid and DaizyuJr are retools of each other despite the original mecha having totally different aesthetics makes them feel too generic. (whereas DaiBokid looks like a decent homage) Who knows, maybe the toys will have some hidden gimmick that pulls it all together, but... eh, Sentai hasn't had that faith from me for literally years. (since DaiBouken himself, as a matter of fact) |
If we get a Green 6th member, I hope the motif is spaceships/sci-fi/futuristic.

And guess what? All the rumors were right. So... maybe have some faith that some of us wouldn’t share rumors unless they were well-sourced. :lol |
Calling it now, this is how Hasbro is gonna have PR crossover with Transformers.
Still, this looks really awesome I hope it gets adapted as the 30th Anniversary for Power Rangers. If so it'll make up for Dino Fury not being that. |
I think this is like, the most unadaptable thing in existence for PR

Regardless, I'm really not seeing what makes this un-adaptable? |

Well, why not make American-made Rangers that matches the Zenkai Bots??

Meanwhile(back on topic) with this, granted, we do now have other "safe zone" picks in terms of Zyuohger and Kiramager, but this very premise has one thing you know they'd be more than willing to bank on: the Daizyujin Ranger. Not just that either. When it comes to the other three Zord Rangers, while opinions on the seasons they represent are mixed, the mecha themselves are generally very popular with the fandom, atleast in my experience. The only real outlier is the AkaRed+Big One fusion, but again stuff like that hadn't stopped Saban(The Space Sheriff cameo in Ninja Steel), Disney(the sillier elements of RPM), or Hasbro(the Gavan cameo in Beast Morphers) before. Plus Hasbro has shown with BM that they're willing to spend more money than any of the previous rights holders have before, so that helps. |
Thomas the Tank Engine is still popular with kids so I highly doubt the idea that 'trains aren't popular with kids'. I'm still convinced that the real reason behind not adapting ToQGer was the infamous ToQ Boner.

I have always believed that ToQger can be adapted, and I'll never not believe that. And it should also be said that if ToQger can be adapted and made into a success story, then Zenkaiger is literally and figuratively "child's play". |
I just noticed that the black portion of the feet for Gaon and Zyuran have obvious fingers, so I guess the silver parts rotate away to reveal hands for arms in some combination. I think I see a thumb on one of Gaon's feet.
Unrelated, I really feel for those suit actors. Even ZenKaiser has the kind of stiff upper-body shell usually reserved for late-series power-ups and Kamen Riders. The ZenKaiser suit is really interesting. That red stripe and the red cape interior seems to be an attempt to make ensure that visually, people recognize that the white hero here is also the red senshi for this series. I'm curious about the arrow symbol. The significance of the V is clear enough, but it's the line extending from it that interests me. The zig-zaggy lines look like a pair of fangy maws reminiscent of what's on Zyuran's shoulder, and I'm reminded of the information we got suggestion there's a change mechanism that brings to mind something about Ultraman's Scylla. Totally baffled as to how that might work mechanically. |

With regards to ToQger, Thomas the tank engine is popular with a different age group than what ToQger would be aiming for in the US. The thing about trains not being popular outside of Japan is moreso that trains are super popular in Japan and ToQger still performed poorly. So taking that data and, excuse the pun, imaging how that might translate to the US where trains are not a national staple, and the show is expected to have dinosaurs and beasts. Too risky. Personally, while I like the ToQger suit design, I can see how it takes the stuff US audiences like the least about Power Rangers (spandex, literal toy on the wrist) and leaves out the "cool" stuff (armor, hi-tech gadgets/weapons) |
Here's hoping the bonus rangerbot is ninja based.
|
I'm fucking loving the Zenkaiger suits so much. Yea, I expect the action to be a little more slow to compensate for the more bulky suits, but I think I'm a bit fine with that.
As for potential 6ths, I think that it'll definitely be someone based on an earlier season that had a prominent 6th ranger (We can scratch off Zyuranger if we're to assume that there's no repeats). |

The train boner thing seems likely too. It's probably a mix of all three - train's aren't too popular here, dinosaurs and ninjas (the next two seasons) are super popular, and the megazord has a boner. |

- Don't use Chain Shadow's Megazord Battle! - Shorten the time spent during the Megazord Battle against Chain Shadow. - The front of Red Ressha is shown folding upward onto the chest during the standard ToQOh transformation. Refilm the combination sequence of ToQOh to remove this so as to not even hint at the possibility of Red Ressha doing anything stupid or awkward. - Let the DX Hasbro version be constructed in such a manner that the Megazord train chest is locked in place when the head is connected, therefore it would be virtually impossible to adjust the parts to echo that dumb joke. If the Ep. 3 joke isn't the primary reason, but the theme is, then the focus should on the story and not just the theme. Lean into all the previous moments trains have been significant to the franchise (train-focused episodes or train-themed Megazords), while simultaneously focusing more on the story and the characters around the theme. In my mind, a train-themed Ranger team would occur from an in-universe standpoint by accident; it's not planned by anyone to give teenagers the "Power of Trains", but rather something that just happens. Remember, Dino Charge's backstory was that the Energems were bonded to dinosaurs, but not necessarily planned by Keeper to give Earth people the "Power of Dinosaurs"! On a purely Zenkaiger level, we haven't seen how the "Sentai Gear" gimmick will work yet so it's possible that ToQger wouldn't even factor into it heavily. Even Gokaiger short-changed some of their predecessors; they changed into some teams more than others. I look at that Zenkaiger poster and see a P.R. adaptation a mile wide on that basis alone. The less Zenkaiger references an un-adapted team, the better its chances for an adaptation. That being said, one has to also get a feel for the villains themselves before making an accurate assessment. Still got a few days before the official website goes live and reveals more details. |
I’m sorry but. We can’t seriously be considering like 8 frames of one episode as a reason against adapting.
This is way off topic anyway; this is a Zenkaiger thread, not powerful rangers |

So what exactly are they going to call this show if they adapt it to Power Rangers anyway? Power Rangers Zord Force?
I'm sorry, I know this thread isn't about Power Rangers, but I just want to put this out there. And to get back on topic for Zenkaiger, I'm curious as to what the villains would be like. Considering it's the 45th anniversary of Sentai, maybe the MOTWs could be based on previous teams (to tag off the Another Rider concept)? |
I'm curious to see if this series might finally revive Sentai figuarts. You've got 5 unique designs, plus anniversary hype. If that doesn't do it, I don't think anything will.
|
Hmm...about Gokaiger, what if Gokaiger's power are used for Zenkaiger's power up?
Maybe similar to Decade Ridewatch in Zi-O.... |

But i'm certainly gonna be curious to see what the villains look like this time around. I mean of the current options I honestly don't see any stand out choices for an adapt after Dino Fury. ToQger-might confuse kids if they tune in late and suddenly theres a female red and male pink when the previous ep the team had Male red and female pink. I Mean ToQ adapt COULD ditch the color changing since honestly that gimmick did nothing- oh it let them use each others weapons... haven't we seen rangers pass off their weapons to others before? Not to mention the foot soldiers might be problematic. Zyuohger had nice designs but the mecha were a bit of a let down over all. Kyuranger- i know PR isn't known for character development but Megaforce got criticized for gosei just passing out mecha stuff like participation ribbons. LupPat- sure theres the bit bout trying to shape the footage just right so as to not glorify thieves- this is presumably a reason that Korea skipped it in favor of Ryusoulger as well. But I think Hasbro could manage that part the harder part would be explaining why they share a mecha...I guess The Lupin team could of stolen the blueprints and they trade off because it needs to recharge or something. Kiramager- The suits are fine but the monsters are soo retro it works for sentai I just don't know if it would work as well for PR. And then theres the merchandise side... a toyline that doesn't care if you collect them all? Megazords that don't even have limb swapping features? We can stick the shovel on the drill's shoulder... or make the main megazord hold the shark zord as a cannon... if they don't combine into something bigger, if there's no incentive to buy them all then you probably wont and since hasbro is a toy company that probably isn't a good series to pick. So yeah we'll just have to wait to see the monsters who know it might make for a decnet PR 2023. |
I wonder if this was created with the american market in mind. All mechs here are US series and Daizyujin is the red Mech, which leads it being in a more leader role.
I mean it just screams it. |

ToQger should leave the line-changing for use as a team finisher to replace the imagination aspect of the Bazooka. Red won't up and give his Ressha to Blue or Pink, but "donate" its power to all of them so they can perform an All-Red finisher. Same would be true for all of them; All-Yellow Team and All-Pink Team are all on the table. The Bazooka would still be used, but to a slightly lesser extent and the effect is more generic. The Kuros/Clothes could be replaced with the Cotpotros from Dairanger, which have never been adapted up to this point. The most insane idea with adapting ToQger I can think of is creating a second team altogether; Safari Ressha was used as a power-up and Movie-Exclusive Mecha, but I think it could serve as the basis of a whole new Ranger team which wasn't seen in ToQger! Instead of Red gaining Lion Claws, we have a Lion Ranger. Instead of Pink donning a Panda suit, we have a Panda Ranger. SafariGaOh was largely an afterthought in the Movie and really only there cause it was using ToQOh's base design. The "lion-made-of-trains" Safari Ressha is more important, and can easily be recreated with CGI to serve as a main Megazord (or main Zord). Zyuohger's Cube Animals are usable, but ZyuohKing and ZyuohWild are small and the toys are disproportionate. King and Wild could take the role of human-sized Beast Bots, with Wild Zyuoh King acting as a stand-in for the main Megazord. As the show progresses, King and Wild would find the ability to enlarge on their own or through combinations (like that Octopus Cube). Auxiliary Cubes which function as weapons could be used by the team and guest stars. Kyuranger has a pre-existing blueprint for adaptation: "Power Rangers Supernova". This could still serve a purpose. Ultimately, this would have to be a big event. LuPat could follow Kyuranger as something of an addendum. GoodStriker's sentience and desire to help who he feels like helping would be changed. GoodStriker as an on-board A.I. which is influenced by a mysterious benefactor (think Kogure). The reason for thievery is not only social commentary, but because the Lupin Collection pieces (which were based on Sentai changers/mecha/weapons) are in fact Ranger Gear which the powers that control the Pats want to destroy. The Lupins are taking and returning this Gear to its rightful owners. The Podamen are also chaotic due to their design. Luckily, the Kuros/Clothes from ToQger could work here as a runaround, with the Giant Podamen serving as secondary footsoldiers. Kiramager is still unfinished, but my thinking is to use it as a tie-in to answer a fundamental franchise question: what truly happened between Zeo and the Turbo Movie? There are gaps and unanswered details. A Sentai which is themed after crystals and vehicles as one-and-the-same could help that. The comparisons to Transformers is hard to miss when looking at Zenkaiger. The idea of a crossover was on almost everybody's minds when the news broke that Hasbro would own the franchise. How Zenkaiger will reference an un-adapted Sentai is key to determining its feasibility for adaptation. If a reference to ToQger or Zyuohger is more oblique, then it can be explained with nary an effort. In fact, having a Sentai make such a reference could serve as a backdoor to inputting a Sentai like ToQger or Zyuohger. While everyone is largely pissed that Super Megaforce showcased Pre-Zyu Sentai without explanation, the fact that it was done at all serves as an unaddressed backdoor to canonizing those Sentai within a P.R. context. Zenkaiger's official website has another day or so before it goes live based on what I've seen. A little longer, and we can go a little deeper with just how Zenkaiger might play out, and whether Hasbro will take notice. |
