Decade Complete 21. Never before have I deeply loved and thoroughly hated a form so much simultaneously. It's perfect. It's just the Zero-Two card that might push it a little bit over the top for me.

And a few more things, I noticed in the trailers, Ohma ZI-O looked a bit off and thinner than usual and also cackling which is somewhat uncharacteristic for him. With the theme of ZI-O's movie having multiple Sougos, I wouldn't be surprised if this Ohma ZI-O is a fake.

Also, pretty hilarious to see Heure with a triple-barreled gun.

Really, the only real crime Toei did was lazily putting together Decade Armor Saber. They didn't even really put it together, just slapped on the wrong face plate. If it were actually a Decade Armor Saber, it'd have Dragonic Knight limbs and face plate.

Edit: did some digging and apparently Natsumi's actor has retired from acting. Again, her last work for Kamen Rider was voicework for Kivala on Ganbarizing two years ago. So, either she'll only appear in-voice or someone else will become Kivala. Hopefully Hora?

Edit again: Or.. Not. She did some acting as early as last year.

That Decade suit's helmet kinda looks like it's intentionally referencing a priest style (onmyouji or something?). You know, those sort of conical hats?

Also do we even know how early this was filmed? Given I'm sure they've had to film stuff in a rush/far ahead in advance. This could have been before anyone had access to designs like Crimson Dragon or Dragonic Knight.

And also like I mentioned earlier, I doubt they can afford to use Saber Undersuits/Armor on other projects that aren't immediately related to Saber. Cause the end result could be causing damage to the suits, which is something they don't need to happen given I'm sure costume making takes a lot longer given our current situation.

Which is why we got Ryuki Survive, but it doesn't make sense to not use Dragonic Knight.

I mean the real reason is cause Decade Armor's easy to swap parts with since all you're doing it swapping in and out inserts rather than needing full armor parts to be modeled, molded, painted, etc, which not even the Zero-One ridewatch got in the movie it was shown in.

Plus given it's a Decade crossover, perfect excuse for it as a money-saving excuse. Not saying I like it based on that, but I understand why they went with it.

It's why Complete 21's got minimal retooling with most of the cards just being on the cape.

These look ridiculous and I can't wait to watch them.

I couldn't tell from the videos, since they went by so fast, but it looks like Complete 21 was retooled to have spaces for all 21 cards on the chest and shoulders, which is cool. Not sure about that cape though.

As for Zi-O Decade Armor Saber, I don't hate it, but I gotta say, it's a little disappointing. If they didn't want to use parts from Saber's suit, they could have at least painted the limbs silver for Dragonic Knight. Maybe they wanted to use Saber's main form face, since he's the current main rider? But for that, they could've done Crimson Dragon, since it has the same eyes/visor/thing and is sortof an upgrade form.

Or, they could just do Decade Armor Zero-One, since nobody's using Shining Hopper right now.

When I first saw images of the new forms somewhere else, I honestly thought they were fanmade. Now I find out they're real...

probably the most ridiculous part to me about Complete 21 is the freaking card tower. Why the card tower?

on the other hand, now I want his finisher to be all of the cards shifting to the tower to let him slash the opponent with it.

Yeah, I thought Zi-O was king of seriously stupid-looking suits, particularly in the late series and V-cinemas - Grand Zi-O is SO! BAD! - and this is clearly Decade's "hold my beer" moment. There's probably a worse suit somewhere in Kamen Rider that I'm forgetting, but at the moment, I can't think of any. It definitely dims my enthusiasm for seeing Decade again.

I understand the issues some people might have with Grand Zi-O, but I couldn't disagree with you more if someone paid me to. Grand feels almost perfect to me, and if you don't like it, well, I'm not gonna fight you about it.

Grand Zi-O is amazing and those who say otherwise are heathens to the king.

Grand Zi-O is easily one of my favourite final forms... but it's really, really hard to praise it right now when Neo Complete/100%/21/whatever this new Decade Complete is called just came out of nowhere and took the crown

Wow, I tried defending Grand Zi-O politely, but you just went all out on it. I'm impressed.

And, yeah, Complete 21 might have usurped the title of "most beautifully silly-looking form" from Grand. That kinda makes me want to start watching Decade now.

I'm here to also jump on the Grand Zi-O train because I honestly love that suit.

Eh Grand Zio wasn't bad though definitely not my favorite. My main complaint being that they could have made the arm guards and leg armor more pointed/edgy to match with his helmet and chest and shoulder armor. Since his lower half kinda looks too plain and blocky for me.

Decade's new form on the other hand....I have no words. Surely there had to be a better design to go for. They could have just made it like Gokai Silver's Gold mode(but pink) instead of making him wear a pile of giant mahjong tiles and a card cape

It's ridiculous. Ridiculous in a somewhat endearingly brilliant way. It's amazing. Though, the cape with glued on cards is the dumbest part of the suit if I'm being honest.

Also, I feel like the clown mask dude is either Kaito or Narutaki.

Speaking on the topic of like the sorta plot related things. Yeah Clown Mask dude has to be someone big they're hiding via it.

Not to mention the oddity of two things, Another Ryuki going around murdering people. Like... I get Ryuki in general and Murder are like two things that pair nicely with each other but it feels weird that it's the big killer. Then you've got the fact that in the 7 Zi-O Trailer they specifically show tons of Elementary Inves as the foot soldiers for some reason.

Something strange is afoot.

Is it too late to join in on the Grand Zi-O train? Cause regardless of how you feel about it the individual statues are all insanely detailed and sculpted and I give props to the suit designers and prop makers for making such a complex design a reality.

Also the lavender look really good on the suit imo. It contrast really well with the gold and white on Zi-O face.

The statues are amazing. That attention to detail is part of the reason I like this form so much. All of the Riders doing their signature poses and jumping out of their frames. Just amazing.

Though, I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't notice the lavender until you pointed it out. Art and colors is my whole thing! I should have seen that!

Man, I need to actually post some art here soon if I'm going to keep talking about it.

I think what makes Grand Zi-O work is that it shamelessly embraces just how over-the-top and gaudy it is. There's nothing subtle about it, no pretense of practicality, it's just in your face "hey look at me I'm the King of Time with the power of all Heisei Kamen Riders! Bow before my tiny statues of past Riders, dramatic upward-pointing armor and golden EVERYTHING!" Like it doesn't even look like a king, it's more like a walking palace!

Also, I just noticed the Rider statues are in a very specific order on the body. Phase 1 is on the right (Zi-O's right), phase 2 is on the left, and within each phase the chronological order starts at the shoulder, goes down the arm then up the leg, to the hip, and then up the chest. Then the two anniversary Riders are on the center line, with Decade in the middle of the chest and Zi-O himself on the head.

Grand Zi-O, like Decade Complete, was a lot to take in at first, but I've grown to really appreciate them for what they set out to do, and even think they're pretty cool at times!

Complete 21 on the other hand, I am never gonna think this form is 'cool', and I think that's fine too! As a weirdo budget form for a spin-off, it can totally get away with looking stupid as heck.

Shinobi was the most fun of all the spin-off materials, while Rider Time Ryuki was a dreadful and miserable waste of time.

Clearly the most fun spin-off material for Zi-O was BillBill Geiz.

Gonna have to agree on this one as well. As big of a fan I am on Ryuki the spinoff didn't really do anything with anyone, and most of the characters were pretty out-of-character too. Shinji felt a lot dumber than usual, too.

I mean let's not forget the out-of-nowhere "Can you pass me the pepper" scene.

I will admit, the one thing dampening my excitement for this special is that Inoue's contributions to Zi-O so far are Rider Time: Ryuki and the Kiva arc. The two worst parts of Zi-O hands down for me.

Oh, yeah, I never got around to watching the Ryuki special, but the Kiva/Ginga episodes are one of the few parts of Zi-O that I didn't like. I liked almost everything else about the show (almost), but those episodes made ZERO SENSE. Here's hoping that this at least makes a little more sense than that.

The suit is amazing. My friends who have never seen Toku are amazed by the suit in concept and execution. A "Walking Palace" is a very nice description. It really reminds me of Southeast Asian royalty.

Yep. Really like the suit. Personally even though I like Zero-Two, this beats out as a "Final Form". There's something about the rider's most powerful suit looking special compared to its predecessors. Zero-Two may look more powerful than 01, but if mid-season during 01's run Izu or someone had become 02, it wouldn't have really looked out of place.

I haven't watched the Shinobi Rider Time episodes but I did watch Ryuuki and while I did enjoy it for how wild it was, it does border on the "So random and wild that it's easy to dislike" category.

It's not in the trailer, but I do think it would be pretty awesome if we got a team shot of Team Zi-O (Zi-O, Geiz, Woz, and Tsukuyomi) with Team Decade (Decade, Kuuga, Diend, and Kivala).

It does look like Decade and Zi-O come together to fight Ohma Zi-O.

I really hope we see Diend Complete form since special and one off forms are starting to become canon

Count me in. Real talk, it's the best elements of Blade King Form and Decade Complete Form in the aesthetics of a Rolex. Can't go wrong with that. Seriously, given how they release rider-themed watches these days I would not be surprised if they went all out and collaborated with Rolex for a Grand Zi-O themed watch.
