DS' vision of a TN High School AU

The entrance doors of the high school swing wide open, and who should enter but the most popular guy in town, Die.

He slides down the hallway, as fellow students watch in awe, and those that don't begin to sing and dance in harmony, awaiting the arrival of Die's' latest dis-track on the school's' podcast: "Die Watch."

The commotion briefly catches the attention of Zero, who peaks out from his corner of the library, shrugs, and goes back to creating dank memes on his laptop, as his typical pal Deepsea isn't around to keep him busy with various TCGs like usual.

Nay, Deepsea is instead busy secretly dealing out various Kamen Rider trinkets to fellow students; Offering them great deals ontop of his own source of bulk orders. No can resist, especially not local art student ShiShiLeo, known for showing off all of his various pieces and upstaging everyone else in both art class and the modelling club.

Eventually, Die runs into the local nerd who everyone simply calls "Fish."

"Hey Die. Uh, about that latest podcast you did." Fish meekly says to Die, who is now suddenly an entire head taller than Fish is.

"Yeah what about it?" Die replies, peering over his sunglasses and chewing bubble gum at the same time.

"Well, you had some interpretations about the latest episode of Kuuga that I really couldn't agree with and--"

It's at this point that Die gets fed up, and lifts Fish by their leather jacket(which is a replica of the one worn by Kotaro Minami), saying "Ah be quiet ya nerd!" before throwing Fish into their locker, which is covered in Kamen Rider Ghost and Go-Busters stickers.

This creates such a racket that local English teacher Switchblade steps out into the hallway, telling all of the kids to break it up(who were apparently still dancing and singing the entire time), before returning to warning everyone not to watch the second half of Hibiki.

All this while Kousan and DreamSword stand by in a far corner, watching everything unfold. Kousan scared of getting bruises by the minor shockwaves created from the air around them; DS intrigued and wondering when the heck class is supposed to start and where everyone gets all of this energy bright and early in the morning. DS shrugs it off, and helps Kousan get to his next class--wherever that is.

This is where my inspiration runs out. Though I imagine dreamcastegirl being the equivalent of the spooky chick from Fourze. Just couldn't think of a way to naturally work that in.

But yeah, if anyone feels like building off what I wrote here, or if you wanna call me a washed up hack with no writing skill, go for it, haha.

Gonna be real, the way you described the chaos of everyone still dancing. Just reminds me of this one scene I saw briefly of chaos everywhere in a school. And now I'm just imaging this is everyone when some life changing Toku News drops. Either that or it just describes the chaos of when a new divisive show drops.

Don't mind me I'm just gonna put this as a watch later kind of thing because I always love ease of access when it comes to shows. Youtube as a player just feels a lot smoother than most other websites. So that's already step one of however many it is to appeal to me. Heck it's how I even got into Symphogear to begin with because they just made the first three season's available on Youtube for free on a single playlist for a short amount of time.

Not much else to say other than I still love how you just "Sit boy!" the T-Rex Dopant during the challenge run you did at the end of the episode.

This is my essay which is titled:

What color is Zero One? You are Green if you don't know the answer: The Yellow One. And that's how you know it's Aruto!

The initial reason why many people, myself included, mistook Zero One for green was due to the poor quality of the first few pictures that showed him and I figured it was a reference to 1's Sakurajima suit. Upon seeing the clear poster for the show, I took a few hexadecimal samples of various pixels of his suit and found that the red-green distribution was consistently balanced. We should also consider that humans' perception of light can be flawed, as most of us with trichromatic vision have more green cones than red cones in our eyes, which results in some people seeing the green in Zero One more vibrantly than the red. If we remove the human factor from the equation, then conclusively, Zero One can be objectively considered an almost perfect shade of yellow.

I can’t say anything detailed about Zero-One’s colour scheme (beyond “green-yellow”), but I will say I probably would’ve had a better chance in the fanfiction competition if I’d gone with the next fic along on TV Tropes (since the protagonist and villains of that are androids).

Also, I’ll mention I slipped a subtle joke about Ankh giving us a “hand” into the video and no-one noticed on the day.

Did you all also know that your typical "yellow highlighter" does not show up when a document is photocopied?

It's a bit of a magic trick to markup a document, then photocopy it and have it be clean. In my old job we used highlighters to label documents as MASTER so they can be copied over and over again.

Huh, interesting bit of trivia...

I suppose this supports my Zero-One is a Yellow Highlighter spiel because when China basically "photocopied" Zero-One to make their own exclusive product, guess what color does not show up?!

The description of "half-ripe banana" is hilarious to me and something I'll always see Zero-One as now. But, as per the rules, I suppose this means that En-chan is the winner, considering the highlighter comparison. Grats!

I never thought of Zero-One as an unripe banana before. Now I'm getting Ni No Kuni flashbacks of the Babannas who wrecked me early game (which I've yet to finish).

Also, if I could have a Kamen Rider game with Kingdom Hearts style gameplay, it would be an absolute win for me. Of course, I'd be down for any Kamen Rider game, especially since we don't know if there's one on the horizon. For all we know, they might be waiting for Revice to debut so they can have all three Reiwa Riders for a possible sequel to this (?), I'm not sure.

Oh wow, was legit not expecting to get this one. Though I'd like to thank my mindset of "Let's just see if this reference will make any good sense." cause I was figuring out how to word the question as I watched the latest episode and mid episode I'm like "Highlighter, that's its!"

If we ever somehow get a Kamen Rider Kingdom Heart's clone I'd be amazed, it isn't likely since I've yet to really see many KH Clones in terms of style. But I'd absolutely be down for it.

That being said I do love them dipping into the DMC-Action Game Genre with MoH. I mean honestly I wouldn't even mind going back to the Battride War Dynasty Warrior's style gameplay cause I feel like there's some merit to just turning your brain off and slaughtering hundreds of henchmen.

That being said in terms of OP's... I'm also counting visuals for the most part in this because visuals are an important part. I'll say which parts really grab me. Especially given the fact that Toei Tokusatsu World can do good in the world, and that's by giving us the Heisei Openings in HD and Clean without Subtitles. Only issue is we're missing Agito, Blade, and Hibiki's Second OP's. But such is life.

Showa: Black - Particularly the very start where it's the opening of the garage door and Black walking through, his suit squeaking as he steps. Real good stuff.

Heisei Phase 1: NEXT LEVEL - It's got a lot of neat visuals but I really love the Kabuto action shots in this one, especially the kicking away the Worms at high speed while everyone's slow.

Heisei Phase 2: Over "Quartzer" - The opening bit where our main trio are surrounded by Riders frozen mid Rider Kick and even touching a few with some neat particle effects happening. And then the part of the OP where we go back to that scene and see a good chunk of Riders performing their finishers all at once as Zi-O rides out of the flames on his bike.

Reiwa: ALMIGHTY ~ Kamen no Yakusoku - I'm a sucker for Ska and it's why I really love OOO's OP too. Almighty just has this real chill and revered tone to it. And I love the use of pop-up books alongside other small visuals.

Also I have to argue with Androzani on one point, I loved the short third arc purely because the villain kept getting his shit wrecked over and over again. Like seriously, it was just nice pure catharsis given all the stuff he pulls in Arc 2 and how frustrating Arc 2 of Zero-One is in general.

Also! We have recorded commentary for every episode up to right before the final boss!

As such, I wanted everyone in the thread's' input: Who do you all want me to fight the final boss with?

For those who don't know, the final boss has three forms/phases, and you're allowed to pick a different Rider for each fight between Double, OOO, and Zero-One(yeah, they almost acknowledge he exists!). Those forms being:

1. Zeus Dopant
2. Zeus Xtreme
3. Zeus Greeed

So, if I get a general consensus on how you all would like to see the fights play out, then I'll know how to go about recording the final bits of this LP; Including how to record the final difficulty of Survival Mode. That is, unless you all want me to do it with a specific character, then lemme know!

Ah yes, so my choices are going to be based on the order I did in my playthrough.

Zeus Greeed - Zero-One

But I understand that using Double twice might not be interesting for the LP so substitute one of those for OOO if you want.

Hey, that's pretty similar to mine. But your Double must have had a serious HP handicap after fighting Zeus Xtreme without flight or jumping, right? I'm impressed!

My insane brain is just thinking about how for each phase of the final boss Dream here brings in a separate guest to do solo commentary within the same vod. lol

But anyway I'm impressed with people utilizing the same character more than once. All of my characters ended up getting rather low as the separate fights commenced. To where I just kept switching because well, low health.

General consensus so far seems to be that I should fight Zeus Xtreme with OOO, but Double and Zero-One are tied for the other two fights. So now I ask for you all to do a tie breaking vote: Double and Zero-One. Who should I fight Zeus Dopant with and who should I fight Zeus Greeed with?

Given just what transpires in the Zeus Dopant fight, I feel W is the right thematic choice. Likewise I feel like Zero-One caps things off nicely given the context of the Greeed fight I feel. In a looser way than W does for Zeus Dopant but still. I am also trying to be vague. Lol
