People forget that you have kids with LGBTQ+ parents also. Some reason, everyone assumes that every kid in America lives in a white subran Christian republican household.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing to have clear depiction of a romance between characters in a show like Power Rangers, because even though it’s a kid show, and look at us, we’re watching it.
Holding hands and hugging is ok in my book.
I think though, that some of you are thinking too much about the way kids see it without thinking too much about it.
I have clear memories of how I saw some of these 90s and 80s shows.
And I didn’t care about romance and didn’t understand most of the subtile stuff or not so subtile ( say hello Batman the Animated series).

So, even though kids have changed, we perhaps shouldn’t rob them of their innocence because in itself, it’s still a bit political as I understand of what’s happening in the US. I’m glad to live in a country where gay marriage is legal since 2004.

Just to finish it here : I’m against heavy romantic depiction in kids show, whoever it is.(kissing and more I mean)

Anyway, now I understand that for some of you, having a news about it is important.
I’m more of a guy that thinks that this was some normal stuff and the news wasn’t needed as it tends to play the game of those that are against that subject.

Acceptance and tolerance should be what kids should learn at their youngest.
They have to accept that people are different and that no one lives the same way as other people do.

Thing is, most adults tend to see their views as being absolute and refuse to understand that people could see it another way.

Perhaps it’s time to make sure that adults can accept each others despite of their differences, right?

This isn’t normal in America, though - or even here in the UK, though it isn’t quite as bad. It should be normal, and expected, but it isn’t. That’s exactly why it is newsworthy - because it’s finally a step in the right direction. It’s finally a moment where gay kids can look at the screen and realise that they can be Power Rangers too, or for adults who watched the show and realised they were gay to feel that a beloved show from childhood acknowledges them.
Hell, it’s especially important for Power Rangers because of the way it treated David Yost during filming of the first four seasons.

It might not be newsworthy where you live, and if that’s true, then honestly, that’s great, and I hope America and the UK catch up to you very quickly. But Power Rangers is made in America, and this site is hosted in America…and this is newsworthy there.

That happens, it might not have been clear, but I make no distinction in terms of romance as it is a pretty normal thing to me ( be it because of the people who raised me or even the country where I live now)
