Nah, Boonboomger suits are an acquired taste. That said, my first impressions for Gozyuger:

- Good to see the Liveman palette return for an animal-themed team.

- I wonder if we'll first get Red, Blue, and Yellow while Green and Black get added later like Gunpei and Hanto from Go-onger. This is because if you see the mouth guards Black and Green have a gold one while the others are in their color, and that seems like a subtle indicator of some sort. Also, teams with green and black as part of the core five (Liveman, Go-onger, Kyoryuger, Ryusoulger) have had tendencies to pair them together in some sort of way.

- Said it before, but I'm getting Visionaries vibes from the chest piece, it looks like their animal motif or the hand-looking emblem from the title logo will appear in situations like say they use a special ability or during their role call.

- The claw weapon thingy looks like the claw emblem from the show logo. I wonder if it's a Ninja Steel situation where it's the transformation device and a weapon. I think the center is hollow, so maybe they insert their ring in it to do stuff?

- The suits feel like they blended elements from Gouraiger, Boukenger, Kyuranger, and Ryusoulger suits.

- I think next year would be a great time for Toei to do a TTFC special of an all-female team-up consisting of female rangers who were first to don certain colors; this show's Black Ranger, Chameleon Green, Kyoryu Violet, Kaoru Shinken Red, Deka Bright or Go-on Silver depending on which ranger Toei wants to mark as their first female silver ranger, Deka Gold, Blue Dolphin, Yellow Four, Change Mermaid, and Momorenger. If the people who potrayed them can't make it, that's fine if it's suit only, as long as they get them all in one team. That would be amazing to see.

- I love how the chest area of the mecha looks like an animal's claws clenching onto a ring.

Are those claws on their gloves?

The thing on Red and Black's hand? Yep, I believe so. Off topic, the figuarts for the Red Ranger is gonna be awesome. :rock:

Looks like this year's weapon/probably-changer will be a claw/paw. Probably works like a few of the other recent multi-form weapons, since we can see the unicorn-horn version. Perhaps they transform by placing a ring on the paw?

For now, my guess is what seems to be the hollow slot on the back of the hand is where they insert their rings to transform or switch into weapon mode, etc.

I once again am out of sync with the rest of the fanbase, as I do not care for these designs. The blank chest pieces are too big and they look detached from the rest of the suit, so I can only imagine how they'll bounce around in motion and how uncomfortable they'll be for the suit actors.

The suits are too black; if it weren't for the helmet, the blue ranger almost looks like a black ranger from the angle the photo was taken. And on that note, why have a black ranger at all with how pronounced that color already is in their suits?

Nothing wrong with having a minority opinion. Most of us have one at some point.

This was my complaint about Donbrothers, way too much black from the base of the neck down to the knees. Gozyuger at least has color on the sides like Boukenger.

Gozyu Unicorn seems to have some more white and pink accents to make her stand out. She's the most obscured on the poster, so we should wait and see her full suit. I'm just glad to see the Liveman/Go-Onger palette anyway.

I really like the overall aesthetic, but the specific animals seem odd to me. They've got three normal animals in a wolf, lion and eagle, but then the extinct T-rex and mythical unicorn are both outliers in different ways and I don't see a clear theme that unites all five. It's not a dealbreaker for me since this look awesome aside from that, but I do hope there's some explanation for why these specific animals were chosen (beyond just "kids think these are cool"), or that the leaks/rumors have mis-identified some of their animals and they actually make more sense, like if yellow was a crocodile and black was a rhino.

Same. One speculation I have going is that they are or strive to be number one in their field or work or interest, and the motifs symbolize something about their character. For example, Red could be the affable one like wolves, who are very social in real life from what I've heard, Black may be Kiramai Red 2.0, Yellow might be the strong and wise one, and so on.

I have mixed feelings about the changer mecha.

I kinda wish unicorn was purple ngl but it is my favorite suit as for the suits themselves they're not bad but I wish they had animal emblems on the rings they feel a little eh rn

that's my other problem with this because these animals do NOT go together at all I kinda want since rumors are that yellow/black are the younger siblings them to get their own robot and the other 3 and htem combine (TBF I can't figure out if Blue's a girl or a boy, though it's kind of hard for me to envision a lioness themed ranger not being a tomboy or at the very least like Sela where she's dignified/has an air of elegance to her but still warrior nontheless)

I say wait until they have all the official promo stuff out at least, but yeah, the show has some explaining to do in regards to why these specific animals.

I expect it's something like the "number one" canine, feline, bird, and dinosaur. A unicorn being regarded as the ultimate version of an equine is... interesting... but then again, this is a children's show, which I expect is why we're treating dinosaurs seriously.

Something like that or maybe they're number one in their interests or expertise? It could be that their animal motifs reflect that.

Well, Noboru Kaneko did just show up in Boonboomger so I guess a Gaoranger tribute episode is all but inevitable now. The Action Hero TyrannoRanger indicates he might pop up as well.

Nice to have some more information about the rings. Sounds like each Ranger will use their own unique ring to morph, in addition to being swappable heads for the universal mecha.

Yeah, if DX Robo Universe continues to hint towards future legendary cameos, then we could be seeing at least Kakeru and Geki show up in the future. I hope Dragon Caesar gets some love as well, being such an iconic mecha for the first ever Sixth Ranger.

Cool. The glowing eyes in the dark effect always works.

I find it neat how they address the technical advancement, specifically the filming, by having rangers from Gorenger to Go-onger presented in a crt monitor and then right away with Shinkenger they go hi-def. This is because up to Go-onger they were still using film and starting with Shinkenger they went digital. Whoever decided to do this is a genius. :rock:

Dude's got that sweet Photon Blood effect on the chest ring as well! Gozyu Wolf looks awesome in action! The 50th anniversary logo is also cool with how it uses the EAGLE symbol and the Gozyuger ring to make the 50.

Seeing this? I so wish Power Rangers will one day come back in this adaptation. Sucks no pink ranger on that team. Love the glowing eyes on the red ranger though.

But on the bright side, there's a female black ranger. So I hope there be some violet/purple aura around her than white.

What if possible they can add for the first time an evil pink ranger? Female! Unless there's already some pink in the black ranger.
