I don't know. I can't even remember how much I paid for it. But I always go through phases with Gunpla and would rather save a positive building phase for BF Master Grades.

I have the RG version, which is pretty much the same thing, and it's imo the definitive take on the RX-78-2. Well, the coolest looking I think. It's a great OOB build too.

It's just such a nice kit, but I suppose the RX-78-2 isn't the coolest design in Gundam anymore, lol. I would have preferred Bandai dropped the sliding armor gimmick with the kit, but that's nothing some glue, putty, and sanding wouldn't fix.

I just hate Real Grades and this thing appears to be a blown up version of that to me. I bought it on impulse would rather save my good will towards gunpla for build fighters. All yours if you want it.

Trust me, I built the MG RX-78-2 Ver. 3.0 atheistically aside, it blows the RG out of the water, one of the best builds I've worked on, and I fiddle with it constantly, posing it and whatnot, if you follow my twitter you'd know

I love High Grade kits, but I buy a ton of kits. lol. What really changed my perception of HG kits was the G Gundam & Gundam X kits from a few years ago. God Gundam is hands down my favorite HG kit I've built, and I've yet to buy a kit since then that I feel really bests it in terms of aesthetic. I jump around a lot between scales because of MS selection. I prefer the HG G Gundam stuff to the MG, as those are aesthetically are dated now. Bandai has started closing the gap with the All Gundam Campaign, but I still find myself buying the same MS in both grades. lol. You can never have too much Wing, X, or Turn A after all. :D

Now I have a reason to start on my RX-78-2 3.0 extra weapons set. I always buy the web exclusive releases before standard ones.

Yeah I don't think they even showed anything, did they? I was really hoping to see the MG Turn X they're working on, and some more Wing and X kits teased. Oh well.. maybe next time. It seems like only Good Smile Company/Max Factory, etc brought their A game this time around.

I built it over the course of the weekend, and it was quite a fun build. I'm surprised how well he holds the TBR especially in combined mode. Makes me wish he had an Epyon to fight...

Finally today's episode gave us exactly what my one complaint has been. The battles are never fully shown, never prolonged enough. Well the Meijin vs the Renato Brothers more than made up for that. Hot damn that one had me on the edge of my seat! 1/144 zeon solidiers?! I mean that's brilliant!

Hello I would like some advice.

First of all I am really enjoying Gundam Build Fighters and I am looking to building a few Gundam model kits (mainly because of the show).

I would like to know where to start. I was thinking of picking up either the Build Strike or the Star Build Strike and was wondering whether these would be suitable for a beginner like me.
I have built models in the past couple of years. I built the whole Go-Busters minipla line and Minipla Kyoryujin, Parasagun, Zakutor and Ankydon. I have also built an LBX Lucifer.

My main concern is that I don't have very steady hands and they can shake at the most inopportune moments and I am wary of stickers, painting, etc

And after today's battle I am more and more pleased I ordered the MG Sengoku Astray. Can't wait to get it in hand.

IT was an absolutely fantastic battle. Got a great G Gundam feel from it actually. Forgoing any sort of actual weapons for straight hand to hand combat.

I've been contemplating getting the MG kits of GP01 and GP02, since I'm about halfway through Stardust Memory, and was really enjoying it (before I interrupted myself to rewatch Kamen Rider W and finish Faiz, and replay Saint's Row 2 & 3).

Anyway, since the MGs are super old, I decided to entertain a baseless hope that they'll get updated versions soon, and decided to look into getting the HGs as placeholders.

I instead ended up deciding that I wanted all the mass produced Zeon suits from MSG, and in searching Mandarake I found a couple to order, as well as a totally awesome looking clear version of 00-Raiser, which I also ordered.

my intention has been to stick with 1/100 kits, so I hope I didn't make a mistake I will regret, as I ordered 4 HG kits on Mandarake, and might grab a couple more before the day is out. :/

Why not get the GP01 RG?

I'm not sure. If I decide to go 1/144 for Stardust Memory suits, I probably will get the RGs over the HGs.
But apparently right now I'm focusing on MSG, not Stardust Memory. But that could be because Mandarake had MSG suits and no GP01/02.
