The Legend of Korra episodes one and two. They were pretty good. I like the billionaire guy.

The design, in my opinion of course, is what makes the animation look clunky though. It's hard for movement to feel fluid when everyone looks like a daddy long legs, gangly limbs flailing all over the place.

Yeah, the premier of Korra was great. Watched it with about 10 friends in one of the commons building with the TV at max volume just so we could mostly hear heh...

But yeah, it was awesome. The interactions between the twins and Bolin were hilarious.

Eska's voice is a little too deadpan for me. Though I loved how she told Bolin not to worry and called him "my feeble turtle-duck" or something to that effect.

Definitely an excellent premiere for the second season of Korra, things look very promising.

This thread was actually started because I was watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and began discussing it in the anime thread. :lol

People are up in arms saying that Unalaq is clearly the villain this season.

I'm not making any bets this time round. I just don't think the creators would show their hand this early in the season.

Unless of course Unalaq's journey in the season is that of the hero falling into villainy.

I won't be making or taking any bets (mainly due to religious beliefs :p), but I will say that I think that Unalaq will become the villain.

If this was a movie he'd be played by Gary oldman.

So a DVD Rip of Predacons Rising got leaked online and I just finished watching. Overall, that was a really well done movie and great way to send off the show. Kinda groaned when the movie opened with ANOTHER relic/bone hunt

I only have two complaints: I expected the final fight to be more…epic and that we most likely won't see a toy of the new Megatron.

Best moment was: the scene with Smokescreen inside the throne room, an his reaction to the arrival of Megatron

Overall prime had it's ups and it's downs but I really enjoyed the series all the way through, even through some of the worst aspects.

Glad you guys enjoyed it! Unalaq is definetely a bad guy. As to whether he's the main villian or not, you're just gonna have to continue watching. As to Eska's voice being too deadpan....she's voiced by Aubrey Plaza (Scott Pilgrim and etc), who really is pretty much that deadpan in real life..:)

No one bitches about it in anime. Hellsing, Eva, One Piece(lol) and everyone says it looks cool.

They made 2 gay inuendo jokes about Knockout in the throne room scene, they were done well.

So caught Predacons Rising thanks to that cartoononlinelink. Great way to end the series. The way Megatron became "good' after being tortured by Unicron was pretty cool. I think just about everyone got resolved, except for Arachnid and Shockwave.

None of those are CG though. I'm only assuming, but considering how much CG animation costs, they are cutting corners everywhere which is why Beware feels so clunky, soulless and hollow.

Say what you like about One Piece's art style, it's at least fully animated in smooth frames that give the sense of fluid motion. Although I give you Hellsing Ultimate, it may be digital hand drawn but that was more of a power point of still images than animation.

That kind of bums me out. I like Unalaq's character design and voice casting. I hope there is more to him than just a traditionalist hardliner.

They still cheat a lot in One Piece though.

I have to echo the sentiments for Predacons Rising. Sure it drew on quite a bit of previous Transformer material but it was a excellent end to Prime. After the awful second season, Beast Hunters completely turned the show around.

Add me to the list who enjoyed Predacons Rising. I definitely have a greater feeling of resolve after seeing that.

You see I've heard a lot of people complaining about One Piece's animation, and yeah it goes through a lot of different styles but I've yet to find any of them bad. It's much better than Bleach or Naruto have every been, about the only time One Piece stumbled is the war arc, but with the sheer amount they would have had to have animated for that with the dwindling anime budgets I can't really blame them for doing it how they did.

If any anime can be voted for having some of the most terrible animation, in my view, it's Soul Eater.

Beware 08. I actually quite enjoyed this episode, I don't really care for Katana at all but I felt like this was a really great character episode for both Batman and Gordon. They also got lots of badass action moments as well, it was fun.

Katana had a great moment in the beginning where she had to try one that red suit she couldn't move in. :lol

I also laughed at Barbra fangirling over meeting Batman.

The red suit scene was pretty funny, didn't really care about the rest.

I found Barbara's characterisation kinda annoying but pretty fitting.

Two words: Lucky Star.

I like Hellsing, I like EVA though it's overrated as all balls, and One Piece was me joking because Luffy has stretchy arms. I can't bring myself to acknowledge most arguments against the show as completely legitimate because ever Batman show after TAS just gets bad-mouthed so ridiculously. I do respect that you have a different opinion than me, but I like the action scenes and this is just the start of the show. Every show needs to find it's true potential during their first season and I think the show is way better than I could have hoped for.

I don't think a slice of life series based off of a 4 Koma needs a huge budget.

Really? My favourite Batman show is Beyond, which I have a lot of friends who would say the same. Then there's huge praise for Brave and The Bold as well. Sure I've seen hate of The Batman, but I dug that show, so I don't see their problem.

I would definitely say Beware is my least favourite Batman show so far though, as it lacks the general fun of Brave and The Bold, the gorgeous art direction of The Batman and the...everything of Beyond.

Batman The Animated Series is a piece of Classic Animation and Batman Fiction. If you need proof, look at the characters that were created solely for that show and still exist in all sorts of media today. Batman Beyond was equally has good. Beyond introduced a new Btman for the first time in years, brought new and deeper stories, and still tied into the original fiction.
Beware... It's just horrible. Especially following the excellent Green Lantern Animated Series and Young Justice.

Why DC and Cartoon Network decided to replace two well written beautiful shows with garbage like Teen Titans Go! and Meh like Beware the Batman.. I honestly have no idea.

I really need to actually start watching Beware, but with the new season starting both in Japan and US in a week or so god knows how I'll fit it into my watching schedule...
