Chris Sabat said that they record both a edited and uncut dub of Super. Super will probably air on a kids network in the US like Nick Toons or Disney XD.

Super is coming out on Toonami on January 7th at 11:30 PM. It will probably take us a year for Toonami to catch up with the Japanese episodes.

Not just Super, but the Boo Saga is also going to be airing with it.

New info the upcoming arc in February. The new arc is being written from Toriyama while the upcoming Hit arc is likely another mini filler arc.

Anyone have any opinion on the Figurerise DBZ model figures?

New episode of Super was pretty good in my opinion. The scene of Hit killing the Mob Boss in U6 felt something from a different anime, not Dragon Ball with the atmosphere in my opinion.

So apparently a new set of digital cards for Super Dragon Ball Heroes reveals that Future Trunk's new Super Saiyan form in Super is called Super Saiyan Rage.

Funimation's dub episode 1 of Super was pretty good. Maybe with some mistakes in the dub, it felt pretty faithful. The new episode of Super airing in Japan was pretty good. The intro and the music in the English dub of Super is the same from the Japanese version. No music replacement (thank god) and the episode is uncut (Mr. Satan is used, not Hercule).

What mistake did they make?

They said Several Months Later when I remember when they said 6 months after Buu they used the Dragon Balls to make everyone forget about Majin Buu and then some time passed. Super is likely to start at Age 778 and the Future Trunks saga is at 780 (Seeing that Trunks went 17 years back into the Past).

Super starts 6 months after Boo and the Black Goku arc is like a year and a half later. It's kind of annoying as Pan was born 5 years too soon.

Did they change Goten's voice? It sounds kind of different.

No, Kara Edwards is still Goten and Videl. I believe Trunks has a new voice though.

Buu saga Kai's dub is pretty great too. The Green Tint is still there, but it does not bother me that much. I don't know why Toei added in it in the first place, but it could be that Buu saga Kai was a cheap project and was meant to be direct to video (It air on TV due to Toriko doing poorly on the last minute).

Didn't the Japanese version of Boo also cut out like 10 more episodes worth of filler compared to some Chinese cut?

The US is getting more episodes of Buu saga Kai compare to Japan. So Buu Saga Kai won't end on Toonami until July 2018 since we're getting the International cut.

The Future Trunks saga in Super probably get dub until early next year. The American fans will have to wait for the Universe 6 Tournament to be dubbed until August 2017.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww. We don't need to the longer version of Boo because the shorter version was still already too long. I mean, they were doing half a manga chapter per episode in that arc. There's no reason why it shouldn't be 40 episodes at most.

Unrelated to everything, but how did the Ginyu Force end up on King Kai's planet?

That's actually one of the mysteries of DBZ we'll never find out, especially since they should've automatically gone to hell once they arrived at the check-in station.

Kai says he invited them there to test how Yamucha, Tenshinhan, and Chaotzu were doing.

That makes far more sense though than the residence of hell being able to watch Majin Boo battle Goku with their bodies full intact.

I never like that scene since the manga and the data books said that villains that go to Hell never keep their bodies. Not to mention there is no way for Yamucha and the other humans to be stronger than Vegeta in such a short period of time.

The first Broli (Broly) movie was one of the first time I saw Dragon Ball subbed (not quite the first, but among the first), so I do have a soft spot for it. I do think Team Four Star's video on it was very well done. Too bad we have to wait for few more years until they get to Fusion Reborn. I can't wait for them to do that one.

I wonder why the movie that basically everyone sans Masako on TFS hated the most ended up being the longest one they've done.

thats due to film was 70 mins long orginal that 1 hour and 10 mins i think it one of the longest DBZ films out there so that might be why it long

also i like to say the dragon ball manga cross over with dragon ball cross eproch is now official translated by viz media and only way to get if you by the third manga box set of one piece

Well King Kai probably arranged for them to get their bodies for the training. Also, they were on King Kai's planet for a while so who knows how strong they got there. They had nothing else to do but train.

I have been wanting one for years. I like the new episode of Super a lot. I did enjoy the dub of Episode 2. Besides some dialogue changes, the dub does feel faithful to the Japanese version.

Oh totally, that episode was pretty fun.

Probably one of my favorites in Super so far.

The episode shows exactly why Videl is the best wife in any anime series.

this is question that popped in my head just now. who going to voice Vados in the english dub of dragon ball super this is the funimation dub not toonami asia dub but funimation one. i was thinking funimation will do what japan did cast the stephanie young the english voice of nico robin in one piece for vados as the to character do sound similar in japanese due to them sharing the same actress in japanese dub.

We'll find out who voices Vados and Champa next month. They're being added to Xenoverse 2 as DLC Characters.
