I haven't seen the show in a while, but I remember liking what I saw. It wasn't that great, but it was fun to watch.

I like Ninninger because it is a crazy mess of a show; every trope or design theme that has ever been used is being used again. The ninja competition that is in the background of the plot is cool and it gives each character a reason to get better (and every member has gotten better). I also enjoy that the ranger with the most development so far is Momo Ninger Kasumi. There has never been any other sentai where the pink ranger has gotten this much development, this early in the season. The show is taking a weird approach to everything and that is what keeps me coming back. I sit and wonder how they are going to do things and what crazy spin they are going to put on it. And the show is bright and fun; my daughters enjoy watching it with me.

I like Ninninger because it seems to go back a bit and take influence from older shows, like the higher presence of practical effects and the opening theme, for example. I also find all the characters entertaining, with Blue and Star being my favorites.
|
Yeah, the more practical effects especially in the action scenes are what the crew takes pride in when they talk about Ninninger. Though I generally think the action feels a lot more energetic since Kyoryuger.

What if we have a blend between megaranger and bioman ?

Why can't I rewatch Gekiranger?
What? I can? AWESOME! Should watch Dai, though... Anyway, do you guys follow Gokaiger's "Official" declaration of who is a sixth, who is an extra, and who is an "Other" ranger? http://i.imgur.com/hH8ItWt.gif |
Ok... I keep watching the gif you put up Matrix. And I'm guessing the first group is extra, the second group of other, and the third is 6th.

Blue Centurian/Signalman, GoseiKnight, and the such are other. Pretty much anybody in DekaRanger after DekaBreak without a number is an extra. Rio and Melee from Geki are extra. Catching my drift on that part? As for sixth...well those are usually part of the team or actually join the team to a greater extent but may remain individual, such as Magna Defender (I can't remember his Sentai name) and TimeFire. |
That all makes sense, though Sentai classes Rio and Mele as Other rather than extra.
|
Eh. Oh well. That was just my classification. Part of me didn't really even know whether to classify them as extra or other. I just went off what I saw from clips and read.
|
I count Gosei Knight as a sixth, he was the sixth member of the team, had his own mech and gattai, and his introduction and loner mentality fits the mold of a sixth.
|
GoseiKnight is canonically a 6th, but it would be no problem to classify him as an Extra or even Other because he is SO different from the main team. He is even presented alone on many occasions, while usually, the sixth rangers are closer to their team.

I never understood why AbareKiller was considered 6th when he was ultimately a 5th. Yet GekiChopper was in the same position but considered a part of the core 5. It makes no sense.

I agree that Abare Killer should not be a sixth. His morpher is the same as the rest of the core team, but him having a shield sets him apart. Maybe because he was evil for so much of the show (like how Dragon Ranger started as being evil before turning good)
|
Abarekiller is always the one that muddies the issue, with other 3 man teams gaining additional members being core (Liveman, Go-On (Until their actual 6ths), Geki, etc).

What if we have another technological sentai powered by mystical powers ?

But isn't AbareMax just Abared's upgraded form (Haven't read up much on Abaranger)?
Pink is just a joke character, while Black is treated as part of the core team. |

Why do dinosaur Sentai always feature a member dying?

Though in the show proper one or three died depending how you look at it. |
Didn't Torin? I don't know, I haven't watched.
|
Torin/KyoryuSilver dies (Intentionally, but still, a death is a death).

Well, Dekaranger at least has the excuse of DekaBreak wearing a VI (Roman 6) on his chest, with Dekamaster bearing 100 on his.
I think the AbarePink appearance in Gokaiger was just for a comedic shout out, not for official acknowledgement, or else White Racer from Carranger (Who I assume used the same joke as AbarePink) should be considered official as well. http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/...20130930151113 |
Not show related, but I figured this was the best place to ask. I've recently become interested in the vinyl figures BoJ does for each Sentai series, and was wonderin a couple of things.
How long have BoJ been doing these vinyl figures? (like, which series was the first), and have they ever changed size? I've been thinking about getting a grouping of figures together and creating a team made-up of Rangers from multiple series of SS/PR. With BoA's multitude of scales, and Figuarts being a tad expensive (also lacking a Ranger I would absolutely want), I'm starting to think the vinyls might be the way to go. |

The point is that they're both just joke characters who bear a suit with similar designs to the actual members. AbarePink isn't Abaranger's 5th, as Abaranger is acknowledged to be a 4 man core team with their "Sixth" (So to speak) as Abarekiller.
We can't have AbarePink be used to justify calling another character their 6th without taking into account White Racer or, even possibly, Shinken Brown. AbarePink wearing a pink motorcycle helmet doesn't validate her any more as a ranger than White Racer's headband. |
