Having a hard time seeing the tree as a face, though. I guess It's a beard with a star nose? What's above the tree then? Just a random shape?

As far as the face goes, I'm pretty much just seeing it as a variant on Newton's face. Just sort making some implied visor-ish eye deals on the sides. Not gonna lie though, these Ghost faces as a whole are pretty...abstract.

Right. I keep forgetting the horn is included in each of the Eyecon face designs.

On a side note, I guess the recent videos are evidence that retailers are getting their Ghost merchandise in. When does HLJ usually issue payment requests and such? I've never actually ordered from them before. :p

Probably to make gift selecting easy for parents in Japan while they also get a good old Christmas cake. I don't know how much a cake is over there but I guess they will justify it some way or another by bundling everything up.

To clarify, I linked to the cake+driver bundle because it had more pictures, they sell the cake/eyecon on its own for 4000 yen ish.

It certainly is. Past Christmas gimmick toys seem to sell for somewhat more...reasonable amounts, though? I haven't seen any on mandarake, but eBay and Yahoo Auctions have yielded not totally out there prices for the Merry Christmas Lockseed and the Shift Holy Christmas car. like 1500-2000 ish? Around. Still steep for a single thing, but not 4000 steep. Hopefully Santa isn't too hard to get in this matter eventually.

Unless the Santa Eyecon is used in the show more then once, I won't bother with it.

I haven't seen the holy christmas car, but the lockseed pops up quite a bit and is fairly cheapish even with electronics. I love the design of the eyecons and how they feel in hand but not worth dishing out more than 2000 on.

Can I just say, I'm so excited to hear the Ghost opening theme tomorrow.

At least it's just the outside of the Eyecon that got the gold treatment, stuff on the inside (and the sticker on top) look as orange as ever. If the inner stuff was gold as well I may have been tempted to hunt one down (and what a hell that would have been). With just the outside being gold...meh!

I'm already getting a second Ore Eyecon, maybe I'll spray paint one gold if I'm feeling like it some day. But no.

I I might see if I can make a custom ore eyecon specific to me haha, I wonder of you can mix sounds by messing with the pegs

This somehow reminds me a little of the Tiger & Bunny opening themes. I guess my biggest personal problem is that it doesn't seem to have any easily understandable, hooking English lyrics like the last couple Rider openings have had.

If this makes any sense, to me it also sort of sounds more like a "normal" J-Rock song than a "built to be catchy" TV opening. I'd have to see it with visuals to solidify my judgments, though.

Same. It's just generic J-pop/J-rock. No theme, motif or style, it's just a song y'know?

Theme song isn't bad; almost reminds me of the ToQGer theme. Looking forward to seeing what the opening looks like, as well as where they'll put it. It'll probably be a few minutes in like most shows, but both Drive and Hibiki had their's at the very beginning, so anything is possible.

The song seems decent enough, but doesn't really stand out as anything special to me. Maybe I'll like it better after hearing more.

I can't wait for the full version of the song.

Some potentially interesting stuff. This Youtube user has uploaded a couple of short videos of hacked Driver sounds. Now, we have heard these before, but we hadn't seen them. Since the Driver usually glows the color of the Eyecon, this may give us some info on what we can expect from Grimm (green), Ryoma (blue), Houdini (purple) and Himiko (white) if they were to come out.

On the other hand, it also shows Beethoven, which glows purple despite being gray. So I guess it may be useless information. (especially doubting Houdini since Specter already has a purple Damashii) Still, this stuff is something I've been wondering about for a while. Has anyone seen any other videos showing the hacked lights?
