I would eat up an original manga Skull Man figuart.

I just want a skullman one so bad. I have the anime and love the character. would love to read the manga also someday. I agree it would be sweet to have a figuart of Kazuya Taki from kamen rider spirits, as he was meant as an homage to skullman in it. plus he was in the original show, unfortunately only as a normal fbi agent. having Kazuya Taki and Skullman standing together would rock.

If any character deserves a Figuart, it's definietly Skullman.

Zubat is a must. plus with drive on the way we could get Zubat's car also maybe. if all the skulls do get made, than we will have a legion of skulls hehe.

You got your comparison already, but note that the discussion everyone was having at the time was for Rider 2. All three of Rider 1's Figuarts incarnations were general releases. Rider 2's Shin version was mass-release while the first-appearance version was an exclusive.

Figuarts related any UK fans been to an mcm and they found figuarts of kame rider there. Cause I'm curious due to I want to pick up some and rest of the current sailor scouts

Never seen any toku ones there personally, only Tiger & Bunny stuff. However with Bluefin having some sort of presence here now I wouldn't be surprised if someone sells some, I did see a Black RX in Forbidden Planet the other day after all.

They will be completely overpriced though. MCM is rife with people overcharging and/or selling fakes.

I've only ever seen figuarts at Hyper Japan from one booth, haven't seen the booth since though so I think it was a one time thing, they also had some cool rider ipad covers.

haha tokyo toys sells so much fake stuff for overpriced fluff. Even though I am guilty of buying some things there because I had money and it was just convenient at the time but it sure as hell isn't a 100% legit operation.

The only stall I've ever considered to be trustworthy is the Gundam Nation booth. They sold me some Figuerise Rider kits in the past and have really friendly staff!

Ahh right Imnow anime UK I think it was sell genuine items due to I bought a kon bleach bag from them and it official. They stated on there site they sell only genuine official items.

About a couple of months ago. First I was only seeing some of the Sailor Scouts there, but recently a Piccolo and Black RX popped up there. They run about £35 each.

Yeah, they lie about that quite a lot. It doesn't help that MCM turn a blind eye to bootlegs being sold at their events, having been told face to face that "it's the buyers problem and not theirs".

The box reads "Akarenger", so I guess they're sticking to the old "Gorenger" translation, but honestly "Akaranger" makes a heck of a lot more sense considering every season outside of Goranger has translated レンジャー properly to "Ranger" and this is the same line of toys that translated "Basco" as "Vasco" despite him having a "B" for his flag and being named after a real explorer...

But anyway! He's indeed significantly bigger then any other Sentai Figuart. He retains the same sized hands though, so it is possible that its just to replicate the puffy look of the old suits. VulEagle will show wether this is a permanent shift in the size of Sentai. Weird that Sentai apparently sell so badly they're released so sparingly, yet they make them bigger and therefore less cost efficient. Bandai, why you so strange? He's not actually big enough to look out of place with other Figuarts though, so I'm thankful for that.

Accessory-wise, Akaranger is decked out! He's got 5 pairs of hands, plus one extra for the iconic Goranger pose, the Goranger Storm Soccer ball, the Red Bute, the Red Bute in Spear Mode, the Silver Shot and his belt with a Birdie attached. The cape comes packaged separate from the main body and is hard plastic. It slots in very solidly with an audible "click" that feels solid enough that I don't want to try and take it out. The Silver Shot doesn't actually fit inside he holster, instead there's an empty holster and a holster with the gun attached that you can swap out when needed. While Akaranger comes with a lot, there's still room for more! I know the Goranger Storm came before the Goranger Hurricane, but I feel the Hurricane is actually a bit more iconic. I wish it came with the Hurricane football instead, but maybe one of the (hopeful) other members will comes with it? I'd also have liked the Red Bute actually as a whip or lasso, which is how he mostly used it. It only comes with it folded up or as a spear, which kind of sucks. An interchangeable flowing cape would've been nice to make action poses have a bit more "oomph" too. Still, Sentai Figuarts have been criminally lacking in accessories lately and Akaranger is a big step up!

I think he's fantastic. I'm so happy that he wasn't cancelled and it gives me hope for the future of Sentai Figuarts. He's a lovely figure and the most important character in Sentai (and by extension) Power Ranger history as the first ever Red Ranger and my collection feels just so much more complete by having him! If you haven't already bought him, do it! Support the future of Sentai Figuarts!

The explorer in question is Vasco da Gama though, not Basco da Gama, which goes against the complaint you're making about the name. The name Basco is still fine because it's one of those multi-layer Japanese pun names they love to use on Super Sentai, and should have been on the box, but given the interchangeability of B/V in the language and the actual explorer's name I totally get why it happened. As far as unusual romanizations on Figuarts boxes go, it's no Jimber or Ratorartar.

As for the official romanization of Gorenger and all its team members over the more logical "Goranger" and ___ranger, maybe it's some kind of legacy thing, like the way Riders up to Decade are still Masked but everything after is Kamen.

On the topic of Akaranger, which yes that's how I'm spelling it because logic, I just got my amiami box in. Quick thoughts before photos.

Akaranger. Great sculpt, paint job, and overall execution. Terribly out of scale, even with other sentai SHF's. He's just huge. Enormous head and hands especially. Sad that you have to change the holster out to give him an empty holster and an entirely separate gun. Why no full functioning holster Bandai?

Bio Rider- nice enough but a fairly average figure. Sculpting is top notch, very much looks like a suit made in toy form. Legs suck for articulation though.

Kachidoki- great looking figure. Seems nice so far, could see the hinges on the armor flaps loosening or even breaking over time though. But good QC for the most part. The head feels a bit too large to me, but that may just be me

And as a side note (I know he's not toku) Iron man MK 42 with couch. 42 looks great, very very tight joints. Mine has several areas that appear to have been scuffed at the factory and painted back over in the wrong shade of gold though. Couch is pretty weak even for a bonus.

Nice to hear Biorider is better after the huge step back Roborider was. I look forward to mine arriving.

Robo Rider is probably my biggest disappointment of the year. Just an absolutely terrible figure with piss poor QC. His hips don't even really function. And he can only hold his gun with one right hand. There's almost nothing to him.

Bio Rider has 5 extra sets of hands compared to Robo's 1 & 1/2. But Bio does only come with one version of the Bio Blade. It's semi-translucent with a white frost over it. So it kind of fudges being both a standard non-powered up version of the blade & the powered up "lightsaber" look at the same time. It should have just come with both like RX. The sculpting is gorgeous on the thighs and torso though, those rubber "folds" look incredible. But the hips leave much to be desired for range of motion. Still far far superior to Robo Rider though.

But ant robo rider literal was a robot like suit with no move men and he only just used the gun on hand hand and moved like a robot

I hadn't realized Robo Rider had such QC issues for others. Mine was fine. I do agree it's a rather boring release.

I've never understood that justification for why robotic-like figures shouldn't be dynamically posable. Regardless of how it's depicted in fiction, this is a very dynamic action figure toy line. I would expect Robo Rider to be no more or less posable than your average Figuart.

Yeah Robo Rider is entirely too static and rigid. Where most figuarts strive for the realistic range of motion a person would have, this one was designed almost to be a brick. And saying "he moves like a robot in the show" is hogwash. It should function well. The hips are the worst though as they barely move out at all. It really nixes dynamically posing him for the most part.

The QC issue on mine is the hip, just below the belt. The yellow waist guard above his right hip isn't painted fully. the entire top edge is just bare white plastic and the front edge is too.

I decided to change up what my Figuarts collection is gonna be, & thought I'd start with Accel. I'm just curious though; what color does Accel appear like in hand? I know it's not that important, I'm just so obsessive about colors that I wanna know beforehand. XD I've seen & heard he's either red or orange & don't really know what to think. Also are his feet plastic or diecast? I've seen some people have issues with plastic feet breaking easily & it's definitely a fear of mine.

I've never heard anyone say that. I've not had any problems with foot breakage, plastic or otherwise.

Same here. If somebody here has complained about the plastic feet breaking then I've never seen it. Both the diecast and plastic ones hold up very nicely.

Really? Huh, odd. My buddy picked up a MMPR Black from B&N weeks ago & he told me recently that a foot got jacked from tinkering too much with the ankle. Also said the same thing happened on his cousin's MMPR Green. Maybe they just rough-housed with the figures? Wait, do MMPR even have plastic feet? I've never owned one so I just went by my buddy's word.

Almost all figuarts have plastic feet today. Early releases and Ryuki style figuarts retain the metal for the most part. And I think the Iron Man figures do too. But NO sentai figuarts at all have that type of foot.

Never heard of anybody breaking a Zyuranger mold before though. I'd probably just attribute it to being mishandled, no offense. But it's not at all common.

Phew! That's a relief. I'd hate for that to happen to any figure that costs what Figuarts do. I mean, I dig my Gaoh Figuart but I kinda don't mind parting with it. And if it ever got damaged I'd obviously be upset but not as much as with a character I love like Accel, you know?

Yeah, I don't feel like the plastic feet are every breakable on my Figuarts. The diecast ones, on the other hand, I feel are going to just snap right through the plastic if you move them too quick.

Now the hips joints and wrist pegs are a different matter.
