Houjo is a piece of shit at the start, and it is consitent until like, about the latter 30s. cuz then he seems to be more understanding. still a shit, but nowhere near as much as he was at the beginning of the series. |

oh yeah trust me, Houjo will never be as bad as Kusaka.

I liked Takumi he was a good rider and his gag of not liking any hit food was fun. AutoVajin is the second greatest bike in all of rider. All the suits in Faiz were frigging great. Does that help keep the positive flow up ? :) |
No. Talking about Faiz never keeps my positive flow up because there weren't many things about that one I consider positive. And out of those, I can't agree with a single one so... If there's no one who watches Faiz atm, let's talk about another show instead xDDD
|
Yo, you wanna know what I like about the Agito openings? The suit actors driving motorcycles and being really coordinated with them. You gotta respect the suit actors for Kamen Rider.

While I will talk about them I not particularly fond of Kiva aka Deno written by toshiki inoue and Plain sugar Wizard. |

I'd love to post more about Stronger, but I haven't gotten very far watching it. |
Hibiki Episode 33: Well Armed Hibiki looks badass, I love how the disc animals make his armor and that it empowers his Kurenai form. I loved Todoroki and Hibiki's special training that powered them up to be able to henshin again much faster than a month. I love how Hinaka convinced Todoroki to go through with the training she's so clever and so much fun. Learning that Kogure was a legendary Oni was pretty awesome; learning he was the singer of the end song is even better because I love the end song and he is a really fun character. I loved his reaction to Ibuki who is so calm and non-reactionary that he couldn't do anything to him lol. On most days I am a split between being Lax and liking weird people like Hibiki, being calm and friendly like Ibuki, or being angry and switching my mind like Todoroki, so I love these 3 a lot. Ibuki did pretty well against the upgraded Hime, Douji, and Makamou by himself so that was impressive. I enjoyed Hibiki's speech to Asumu and the other kid who I forgot his name lol. I do enjoy the leaders of the Makamou a lot too, they are intriguing and want to see if they learned anything from the Armed Saber too. Anyways I am excited for more like always. =)
Hibiki Episode 34: Well Todoroki's clumsiness is makes me look like a graceful ballerina, till I dropped my water bottle after thinking that...so I'm almost as clumsy lol but that's how I relate with Todoroki. Todoroki on the outside is how I feel on the inside sometimes. I feel so bad for so many characters this episode; I'll start with Todoroki that his clumsiness and his nervousness ruined his date with Hinaka and made him all insecure about what to do and hearing what she said about him must have hurt a lot I mean it messed him up so bad he couldn't fight straight; I know how that goes but I hope it goes well for them I really like Hinaka and Todoroki together. Akira I feel bad for too because she doesn't feel like she's advancing even though she has been really important to the team in my eyes at least helping out but she'll get there. Asumu's next with the whole Kiriya going out with Mochida and it's pretty much plaguing his thoughts them being together and I know how that is too so it just kind of a whole group of things not going right for everyone. I want to give all of them hugs. Ibuki on the other hand was pretty kick ass, with kicking the Douji's head all the way around, and fighting them both off by himself. Hibiki I enjoyed helping Asumu and trying to figure out what was wrong with Todoroki and how Midori is asking him about love is interesting. I like getting into more of the characters here. I also enjoyed the new opening, I'm not sure on the theme though; I feel the new opening with the old song might have been good, but I think I need to listen to it more. Well I am going to slowly marathon the rest of Hibiki, not much longer now and I can't wait for more. Hibiki Episode 35: This episode is one of the biggest sighs of relief ever! I was feeling bad because Ibuki, Asumu, and Todoroki were all having issues with love but they were all misunderstandings that worked out for them! Zanki was fun this episode especially his slowly walking away after his helping of Todoroki failed and learning he was kind of a ladies man was fun. I enjoyed Hibiki learning the lesson that Midori told him about and how Asumu learning it was a misunderstanding allowed Asumu to pass that to Hibiki who in returned helped Ibuki and Todoroki with it. I love the Birthday Redo they did for Hinaka and I'm glad Hinaka enjoyed it a lot. Also good to see things are good with Ibuki and Kasumi and Mochida and Asumu too. I am not trusting Kiriya with stalking Akira I don't think that will go well. I loved the end that they had three Makamou show up and the three of them each got to defeat one, making Ibuki and Todoroki not useless is good; I approve of that a lot, but it kind of shows that Hibiki just likes to use his power up even though he doesn't need to lol but that just shows how much of a fun guy Hibiki is though. The Hime being all serious is an interesting change and we'll see if the Douji changes too because he is just silly right now. The next episode looks intriguing I can't wait for more. |
so I'm at episode 41 and I also watched Project G4.
pretty good movie. just felt like an extra long, slightly extra violent episode of Kamen Rider Agito, what with Gills getting his arm cut off at one point, the drowning outside of water, and the end scene with the head of project G4 (lots of squishing and breaking noises) good movie. the best part is when Hikawa fights without his helmet. it's just great to see Jun Kaname's thin body in the G3 suit always makes it look extra bulky. also, Agito is definitely the 1 thing that can have several plots going on, and allows them to blend into one big plot. will hopefully try to finish the rest of Agito by the end of the week. |

I will admit, I was pretty giddy at that.
I will firmly believe Takeshi Hongo went to work as a police inspector when days were more peaceful, but the longer the heisei era went on, the more Rider 1 was needed to return to the fight. |
Watched Stronger up to episode 15. While it still doesn't feel very special, the episodes themselves have some pretty entertaining plots and Tackle finally seems to be more useful now. Hope it stays that way.
General shadow also made his appearance. For some reason, his face creeps me out- which is ironic, because I have seen the suit quite often in newer stuff, but somehow, the original version is somewhat different. Side note: I was thinking about how people tend to say: Ehrmahgerd, Heisei Riders aren't manly enough, they're all prettyboys. Welp. As expected, that statement is utter nonsense, because the Show actors very really attractive young men themselves. So no, Takebe didn't invent the prettyboy casting, even though there's still many people who actually believe that bullshit. |
Hibiki Episode 36: Well Kiriya's a douche and I was shouting that at the TV during most of his dialogue, so like Nira in Drive I'm going to imagine he's not here lol. Anyways I like the focus on Akira and learning her back story about her parents being killed by Makamou, the whole superhero origin for her and I like her worries and fears that she can't fight without her hatred it's interesting and deep. I loved both Ibuki and Zanki teaching her to discard her hatred and to eliminate the Oni's inside. Learning about Zanki's master, Shuki was intriguing and she looks like a very interesting character and always cool to bring in a female Rider, though I'm not sure how long she'll last judging by the fates of other female riders, hope she does though. Hibiki's reasoning of being an Oni is interesting I want to know what he means by it's so simple it's complicated. I also want to know more about Ibuki's back story because there seems to be more going on then just being born and trained for this. Well I am intrigued where it goes from here and can't wait for more.
Hibiki Episode 37: I really enjoyed Shuki's storyline and how it helps to progress Akira to help her see what someone with the same background and hate would end up like. I feel bad for Shuki that is she could have learned to forget hate she could still be fighting I bet. I was wrong about how long she lasted, can we get a female Rider that survives besides Kiva-La? Anyways back on track, yeah I feel bad for Zanki and Ibuki this episode, Zanki because what happened back with Shuki and Ibuki for having to be the one to eliminate a rogue Oni when that totally is against his personality. I am happy Zanki transformed again and helped defeat the Makamou, I was wondering how long it was going to be before he did that again. Hibiki is good with the advice hear, I like how he told both Akira and Ibuki that they both had to find the answer for themselves; he's very good at that, he really should be a mentor. Kiriya once again being a dick to Asumu, I don't even know why he still talks to him. Kiriya is annoying me more than Kusaka, Mitchy and Nira right now, we'll see though. I can't wait for more. |

So, uh since I've only watched seven episodes two years ago, is OOO's worth going through? I want to see it this summer so.

Hibiki Episode 38: This definitely felt like a turning point in the series with having so many of the characters at down points: With Ibuki doubting himself as a teacher because of what Akira is going through. Also I do like the realization that he looks at others from above because he was born to be an Oni coming from the Yoshino (Head) Family of Takeshi and probably had a more privileged life is why is probably more calm and laid back; I really enjoyed learning more about his background and why he is like how he is and how he is reacting to Akira. I felt bad for Todoroki because I think he just wanted to fight side by side with his master not depend on him because he idolizes Zanki and I know Zanki is just showing him tough love because he doesn't want to show his own weakness from the past damage he took from Shuki to make Todoroki anymore but it is saddening to see this happen. I'm glad we're finally getting further with Asumu wanting to become an Oni story because I swear this is what the whole story has been leading up to pretty much and I hope he gains more confidence to stand up to Kiriya and his douchy-ness. Midori was fun too helping Asumu with his issues. This Makamou is something else being able to defeat Armed Hibiki and the three of them attacking together as well, I am intrigued to see how they defeat this monster and rise up from all of their problems too and rescue Asumu and Midori as well. I also did love Kiriya being scared of Douji and Hime; shows that he's just a douchebag who is all talk. Can't wait for more.

Hibiki Episode 39: Well Kiriya showed more sides of himself rather than just being a douche here, I enjoyed him being afraid of the dark as it shows his douchey side is just him overcompensating for not facing his fears. Also him becoming an Oni to surpass his father is interesting, I think it's also him wanting to gain more strength too. I loved the Mentor making Todoroki believe he's a lion and that motivated him to get past his insecurities and what Zanki said to him so he can stand up by himself. I also enjoyed Ibuki finally talking to Akira and explaining to her that they both have to find the answers themselves. I enjoyed Midori and Asumu escaping by themselves and Asumu being able to find the way past the Wave Field of the Makamou to help Hibiki out, that was great. I am happy Asumu found the courage in himself to do that. I really enjoyed a lot of the character development of a lot of the characters this episode and I enjoy Hibiki a lot too always being the one helping out too. Into the 40's I can't wait for them.

Alright so I think Megamax with OOO and Fourze might be my favorite movie war to date. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's the first one I've seen properly or just how emotionally potent it was but something about the way it was presented just felt... great!
OOO's half was great with the return of Ankh from the future adding some much needed closure to OOO's conclusion and everything felt like a natural progression from where the series left off. Aqua and Poseiden were okay but thank god they weren't annoying, they were engaging enough for what they were. Doesn't hurt they used a cameo from Philip and Shoutaro to transition into Fourze's half... speaking of. Fourze's half was... AWESOME! In all honesty I was worried I would end up hating Nadeshiko as I thought she was going to be another cold stoic type but she actually turned out being an incredibly likeable character and added a lot to Gentaro making him a top contender for one of my favorite riders. As for the crossover section, it oddly felt like the climax that the other movies (starting from W A-Z) was building up to and more than exceeded the build up. All in all, Movie War Megamax is a solid 10/10 and is quite possibly the best of the movie wars I have seen to date. And now... I look forward to Meteor! :D |
Megamax is the best Movie Taisen so far, the only one that comes close to it is Full Throttle- and it's still not as amazing. Maybe it's because Mega Max has three Main Riders in a cool team up + the Showa bunch, but whatever it may be, Megamax is amazing.

Kamen Rider Ryuki episode 19: Yay, Shibaura got what was coming to him. I hated him, and I cheered when Ouja offed him. He was an annoying little rat.
|
Hibiki Episode 40: Well I'm glad Asumu finally came to the realization that he wants to be Hibiki's disciple and an Oni, I could have seen maybe if the writing team didn't change this could have happened sooner but still it's happened. I am happy it did; Asumu is more confident in himself after this decision and Hibiki actually calling him Asumu not Boy anymore. Kiriya sure was desperate to become an Oni going to everyone he could to be a disciple. I enjoyed that both Kiriya and Asumu asked Akira to be her disciples because even though it is an extreme option I think it helped inspire her to become an Oni. Her scene at the end just makes me want to watch the next episode. I enjoyed Ibuki's talk to Hibiki and calling him out that he's scared to be a teacher; I'm sure Hibiki has his reasons but I can relate to Hibiki being scared because it's not always easy to pass on knowledge. I also enjoyed Hibiki, Ibuki, and Todoroki turning down Kiriya because it's not that easy and with Hibiki and Ibuki that he doesn't know everything even though he thinks he does. Kiriya is really insecure and probably why he is such a douche to mask it; I mean he thought Asumu was there to laugh at him when Asumu legitimately cared if his so called friend who's a jerk to him actually was alright. I love Asumu had the courage and compassion to do that because honestly he didn't need to check on Kiriya at all. I also loved Todoroki and Zanki's scene because I love even though he is anxious and nervous Todoroki he is still finding confidence to stand on his own two feet and not rely on Zanki. Zanki I enjoyed that he went out to help do his own duties and not handicap Todoroki, even though he says otherwise I know he still worries about Todoroki and cares about his well-being. I am intrigued for the next episode there seems to be a lot going and I can't wait for it.

Just re-watched Faiz and Blade back to back. I enjoyed em now a lot more than when I was in high school. It's been awhile.
|
So I took Kickback's advice and started Drive at ep 20, and he's right. You can start there and not miss any story. Anyway. I watched 20, 21, and 22 and they all need to be retitled "Medic is a Bitch: The Trilogy". God I just want her dead. Actually felt sorry for Brain too which was weird, and Chase. So much for Chase.
|
Quote:
Also the story tries to get it's act together and focused from close around this point and the plot isn't dragging it's feet with plots like Chase's past self and the Drives' secret identity plot. Also in later episode Shinnosuke's get more character motives, unfortunately this advancement doesn't fix one of the major issues with Drive in that there is barely any of Hayase in the plot. |
I am thinking about trying Shin would anyone recommend it? A couple of notes
I am somewhat young I get nightmares easily. |
Quote:
You're not missing much by the way, Shin is a thing that is interesting to see because it is so different, but as a Rider-fan you don't really get anything from it. You can wait until you had your fair share of horror movies to harden you up and then watch it. @Topic: I'm up to episode 15 of Ryuki. I was a little annoyed with 14 at first because of the whole "He obviously didn’t kill him but still feels guilty about it"-thing, but it got resolved so quick and in a good way that I don't mind it too much now. Still, would've made a much bigger impact if we as the viewer would also thought Shinji killed him. |
Hibiki episode 41: Well I have to say that I loved Asumu standing up for himself against Kiriya and choosing to go with Kiriya to learn what Akira had to teach them. I enjoyed Akira's decision it makes why she was in hiding and silent make a lot of sense. I figure after she saw what hatred turned Shuki into that she eventually might turn into that and did not want that. I enjoyed that she wanted to pass on Ibuki's knowledge to both Asumu and Kiriya so that they get something of what he taught her. I think it's great she wanted to go have a normal life and it's perfectly fine that she wants that. I could very much relate to Ibuki with wanting someone to say something but just staying quiet and not knowing what they are thinking and it's just driving you nuts (it was pretty much my weekend); so kind of really glad that Ibuki got answers from her. I am also happy that Ibuki and Todoroki kicked the crap out of that Tree Makamou from the forest and that Hibiki doesn't need to save the day all the time. Also enjoyed Asumu and Kiriya taking Todoroki's guitar and attacking the tree that controlled the forest, great show of courage and that they want to save lives. Also Kiriya I think gained a lot of development with saving the kid from the truck and helping save Kasumi too, he's found his resolve the same with Asumu and I'm glad Hibiki has finally taken them in as Disciples. I am intrigued that the leaders of the Makamou and the Branch Chief met and this Orochi guy doesn't sound like good news. Well I am intrigued for what happens next and can't wait for more.

There's no shame in admitting you get scared easily, especially when you're younger. I remember getting really scared at the end of Spaceballs when the Alien-parody bursts out of the guy and dances, and today I love the shit out of the Alien-franchise. It's just something you need to grow into, forcing yourself into watching this stuff won't help you. And in the case of Shin, you're better of watching some good Rider/Sentai anyways. It's not terrible, but only really interesting in its differences and getting a horror-vibe from this franchise. @Topic: I'm at Episode 17 now, and I can't wait for the inevitable, horrible demise of Rhino-Rider. That dumb piece of shit. |
