The hands are especially concerning. If there's one thing they should make die-cast it's the wrist pegs. If not, take a page out of Marvel Legends' figures & just have the slot in the wrist & a longer, cylindrical peg (with no ball joint) on the hand.

I'm pretty happy with the current state of SHFs. Niggles and all. Guess I'm the strange guy in the room.
|
I'm usually happy with the figuarts I get even if the flaw can be small or minor. Flame Style is the one that I hate since my falls apart when you move him seeing how awful the pegs are. I can't sell my Flame Style on Ebay because no one would want it and I can't throw it out because I don't have the money at the money to shell out a new one. Not to mention it was a birthday gift and I don't like doing that.

The only Figuart I truly hate is Zx because that thing just feels like a bootleg.

I was rearranging my toku Figuarts displays this weekend and handled Robo Rider for the first time since I opened him. Ha, yeah, those hips are special. I guess he was such a boring release they didn't leave much of an impression (I just tinkered with him then plopped him on a shelf when I first got him) that I'd actually forgotten about them, but yeeesh those could've been designed...not that way.
At least mine holds his gun. That's something. Bravo's great. Quite pointy so you have to find the right spot to grab him when swapping out hands, but very cool. Still waiting on Gaim Jimba & Blade Jack (plus Ultimate Zero) to clear customs, hopefully they drop in by Friday. |
After watching the first episode of Drive, I wonder how the tire gimmick is going to work in Figuart format? Maybe they can release the tires similar to the Fourze effect sets that they did a while back.
|
Thats probably what they will do with it. Their are alot more Tires to come in the future of the serious so it would be impossible to include them all with the figures.
|
Maybe have it be a clip on system.
|
Yeah just have the tire split in half and let it plug into the chest.

@guyver spawn.... well I am looking for a flame states don't mind the issues just because I own infinity and he's the one I pose but I recently got this bug that I want to own all the base forms and final forms for the riders from decade to now. So if your looking to unload it at a fair price let me know

Finally managed to score my first Gaim figuarts. Ordered the two Kureshima Bros on AmiAmi and I cant wait for them to get here. Now I just have to get Zangetsu Shin to complete the trio :D

Figma Captain America's hands barely stay on. Especially the one meant to hold the strap of his shield, any time I try to adjust his pose the hand falls off, which means the shield falls off. All the SIC Den-O and Kiva figures have those sorts of hands as well, and while not as loose as Figma Cap, they work themselves loose very quickly during posing. it is annoying as hell, and honestly is probably the second strongest reason I decided to sell my SIC Den-O figures (the other being I just don't have the space). By itself it's not enough to ruin the figures, but it is a big issue with me. I want hands that plug in and don't fall off, dammit. I have at least 120 Figuarts (probably more, I haven't counted in a while), and not a single one of them has broken wrist joints. And some of them I HAVE to be rough with in order to swap hands (damn you, SHF W!). They're not fragile, and they're not frustrating, so I sincerely hope Bandai doesn't mess with isn't broken. |

Figma pegs>figuarts pegs in my experience. |

So far I've had more trouble with the Figma wrist pegs than I've had with the Figuarts. Granted, I keep buying them secondhand, so that might have something to do with it. |

I really don't understand the flak the Figuarts system gets. It works fine a good majority of the time. |
I've never had any real problems with Figuarts and swapping hands either. Some are more of a pain in the ass (W) and some do give me some hesitation either due to experience of others or joints that "look" a bit thinner than others (Sharivan, after seeing what happened to some Gavans...probably a couple others I'm not thinking of).
I don't mind the Figma wrist pegs (or SICs, though not all of them use the wrist pegs)...but not having any become loose enough to easily fall out of the forearm makes that easy to say. Should/when that happens, I imagine my stance will change quite a bit. Anyways, just paid off my order with Kurokage at NY. Unfortunately I won't see it or the Ultra-Act "Dark" two-pack until November because Bujin Gaim's part of the order too. I guess I'll see whether that order beats shipping out ahead of my November order with Femme. |
The only Figuart that ever gave me trouble was Kyoryu Red. His Armed On was a pain in the ass to put on. I just decided to never use it because of that.
|
The hand-joints are okay. Only minor problem I had was with Ryugen, one of the joints was put in the wrong way, resulting in the hand pulling out the entire joint when I wanted to swap it.
But I just put it in the other way and since then I have no problems, the joint locked in and I can swap hands easily. |
The only figures I have with wrist joint issues are Gavan, Venus, and Krillin. Venus I was able to exchange for a new one though. The problem was whenever I removed the hand the peg would come with it unless I held onto the wrist really tightly. Haven't had an issue with KyoryuRed.
|
I think Ryugen might be my favrioute of the Gaim Figuarts I currenty have.
The Shoulder pads are a little annoying, but the paint work on him is gorgeous. |
So I had an experience today speaking of joints. I went to swap the (my) left hand of Ichigo (Original Version) and the entire joint came out of the figure. It didn't break, it just popped/slid out. I was able to get it back in (pretty easy to do) and after a while actually pop the hand off.
I've never had this happen with any figuart before and while Ichigo's hands are a bit hard to get off, the joint has never come off with them. So I don't know if I was a little too rough this time (I applied the same force I always used) or the it's just the figure itself. Figured I'd share this fun time experience. |

in all my action figure collecting, the only casualty I've ever had with wrist pegs was Gridman. Broke my heart when that happened...Have been lucky with the rest.

I actually don't have any wrist issue with my Link or Samus. However, I still find it kind of dumb that Bandai was advertising the hell out of a new wrist system that was only oused on one figure.

I'll be popping open Gaim Jimba/Kachidoki, Bio Rider & Blade Jack tonight & rearranging my "blue" shelf. I've been looking forward to Kachidoki since it arrived over a week ago but wanted to wait to reset that shelf at the same time once the others arrived.

EDIT: So, quick reflections upon messing with the following: Bio Rider - It earns the backhanded compliment of not being as boring as Bio Rider (more hands, holds the Bio Blade with no problems, nice colors). The hips still aren't great, but are slightly more dynamic than Robo. Both Robo & Bio look more interesting than they actually are. Blade Jack - As expected, basically Blade w/wing-like things & some extra gold, but it helps that the Blade body is really nice. The one annoying thing that Jack has in common with Blade is he still has stickers for the rouzer. Gaim Jimba - Another aesthetically pleasing Gaim Figuart, as usual. I guess it says something more about Kachidoki that Jimba actually feels bland compared to Kachidoki. Gaim Kachidoki - Most recent candidate for prettiest Figuart around. Head & torso posability limited by the armor but it's not debilitating. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psgcrm7es1.jpg |

Shinkocchou Seihou #3 demo will be at Tamashii Nation 2014 |
Let the speculation begin!
|
maybe, just maybe, this new Shinkocchou Seihou might be Kiva I hope.

Kiva would be the best option considering it's the only main form yet to have a figuart. I could see them swerving and doing another Ichigo though.
I'd say something like Premium Sentai but yeah, that's pretty doubtful. |
I'm hoping either Kiva or Kuuga renewal.
|
If I read that right... The event starts on the 31st. Halloween. It would be perfect to announce a Kiva then!
|
Kiva! Kiva! Kiva! I would buy a figuarts of him in a heartbeat!! (If I have the extra cash laying around :lol)
