Yep, pretty awesome. And hurray, the disgusting Rhinoceros Dude got what he deserved. Never trust a snake. I'm kinda disappointed how Ouja's funny Jafar-cane just disappears, considering Knight holsters his sword when he uses the Sword Vent. But oh well, he's still awesome. |

Hibiki Episode 42: Ummm...Well shit; Todoroki is my favorite rider from this series and he took that horrendous stomping...Yeah I think I need to watch the next episode right away. Besides the ending crushing my soul; I really enjoyed watching Asumu succeed in the training and Kiriya fail miserably that he can't walk the walk only talk the talk. I enjoyed Akira not feeling bad about her decision and Hibiki admiring Ibuki as well. It's interesting to see Ibuki, Zanki, and Todoroki together, fun pairing and must be very different for Ibuki without Akira around. I am saddened more because I loved Todoroki's scene with Hinaka and asking her to go to a hot spring and they would spend the day together after Orochi. Fuck this Orochi thing and fuck these Makamou! Well they have definitely joined the Grongi and Unknowns level of hatred for me now. Also the Hime and Douji questioning their existence I liked too; giving them more depth is nice. Well I'm not sure if I can't wait for more or not. It depends on how Todoroki goes; I'm happy to get Zanki back though but not at this price.

The thing I love about Asakura is that while everyone is dealing with moral concerns and issues, he straight up kills people with zero hesitation.
In the context of Ryuki, he's the perfect Rider. |
Hibiki Episode 43: Or the episode that my feelings couldn't handle because I love Todoroki so much. Seeing him in the hospital with his spirit broken was heart breaking to me, and Hinaka and Zanki as well. I just felt so bad for him. I loved Zanki trying to help inspire Todoroki in the hospital and being inspired by the others to transform and fight again. Ibuki kicked ass and I loved him doing his best fighting all the Makamou by himself till Hibiki came and helped him defeat all of them. Hibiki I loved his talk with Todoroki a lot; he always seems to have the right words to say to help people. I love that Asumu is succeeding a lot in his training he deserves it; Kiriya failing is because he is insecure and not trying to be better just frustrating and hurting himself. This will be tough to deal with the strain Todoroki is dealing with but still I cannot wait for more.

I just finished Hibiki it was a really enjoyable series and now I'm going to watch Agito.

Finally watched Gaim Gaiden. It wasn't particularly good.
Kamen Rider Gaim has a pretty tight knit story, but there are certainly areas where things could be revealed or expanded on. But rather than do that both of these side stories just introduce some dumb new characters and parade about some repaints to sell toys. Gaim always managed to balance serious and humour quite well too, but the Baron story just seems to completely miss the mark. Well, kinda. There ARE some interesting tidbits in these films, but their either told mainly through the forgettable new characters (Ryouma's backstory) or minor points to the overall story (Kaito's dark as hell childhood). There is some good though. Bravo is as fun as always and Ryouma is a joy to watch - which means if his Gaiden is happening it might not be as pointless as these. But for now my expectations are low. Hard to believe they made a 40 minute Eternal film better than these. |

Moving on topic now: Hibiki Episode 44: My feelings Todoroki, I can't handle these past few episodes. This episode actually made me cry with Todoroki telling Hinaka to go away so that he can get the strength to actually walk to her which I thought was beautiful and great motivation. Zanki and Todoroki's seen was also touching and I loved the lengths that Zanki is willing to go to help out his friend and his teammates. Ibuki I feel is getting shafted here, it's like since the Akira storyline ended the only time we see him is fighting. I mean that's awesome but we could get a little more with him. Kiriya is turning into more of a douche but it looks like things are making sense with why he never went to gym class and I mean I relate to that I was smarter more than stronger but he needs to know to be an Oni and fighting monsters that is going to take an equal part physicality and mentality so he's going about this totally the wrong way and is a douche. Especially with stealing the object that Asumu was given because Kiriya didn't want to be a disciple again. Anyways Asumu is being amazing still with his progress and handling his life and was really happy getting the object from Hibiki, so I'm loving Asumu right now. Hibiki is feeling really natural being a teacher right now and I think he needed to get past his worries a lot sooner. That ending and the preview for the next episode I really need to watch like now. I don't know if I can handle more but can't wait for it. |
Yeah, the Todoroki/Zanki stuff is almost worth watching the last 19 episodes of Hibiki for.
Almost. |
Hibiki Episode 45: ZANKI!!! My heart, my feelings as if I couldn't take the episodes before hand this just took the cake! I'm like crying about Zanki, why do the amazing characters go out like this (Otoya, Tsurugi, and Kaoru) and make me feel emotional gaaah I wasn't prepared for this. Todoroki and Zanki's part was just so awesome and beautiful. I love that learning about Zanki helped Todoroki get inspired and fight as an Oni again it made me so happy; and then them playing the guitars together made me incredibly happy then incredibly sad. What other stuff happened in this episode? I guess I should mention it lol. Finally learning Kiriya's reasoning to surpass his father makes sense and that he didn't kill the guy who picked on him redeems my feelings on him earlier and I think he finally understands to hopefully not be a douche anymore from Hibiki. I enjoyed that Asumu went and was assertive to Kiriya and the two of them are kind of getting along better now. Enjoyed Ibuki actually getting more to do with knowing the Spirit Return Technique and having to tell Todoroki about Zanki had to really tough for him. Hibiki's send off to Zanki was also just stabbing the emotions more. Well after that emotional roller coaster I can't wait for more.
Hibiki Episode 46: Alright slightly less emotional here but now I am having feels for Ibuki and him not wanting to die. I don't blame him he seems like he has a lot left to live for and still wants to be with Kasumi. Todoroki definitely feels stronger than he ever was before, mostly being enhanced from Zanki's death. Though I feel it might be hurting his relationship with Hinaka but he is trying to make sure Ibuki is safe and dealing with his Mentor's death so it is a difficult time for him. Hibiki is making a really good mentor right now and pretty good with the Trumpet Gun too. Asumu is dealing with some interesting philosophical questions right now and Kiriya is actually evolving physically so good for both of them; now if Kiriya can be less of a douche he'll be good. The Hime and Douji guys not listening to their creators is interesting I like how they are evolving now. This whole Orochi thing is interesting we'll see how it goes. I can't wait for more lol it's like my signature on these posts. Hibiki Episode 47: Really really enjoyed Hibiki this episode, learning more about him always being scared something that I can relate to and now always wanting to live his life to the fullest another thing I want to do myself. His fight scene against the Makamou without transforming was badass and awesome. I enjoyed Todoroki and Hinaka's scene and how happy she got again for both of them going to a hot spring together made happy. I liked Kasumi and Ibuki's scene as well that was great. Kiriya still a douche to Asumu but helped Hibiki so kinda sorta doing better here. I enjoyed Asumu choosing to keep his promise for right now and stop training for a bit because there are more ways than one to save people. The poor Douji and Hime, this is why you don't bite the hand that feeds you especially when they feed you so you can survive. The giant battle with all the Makamou is exciting so far; all three of them are kicking ass right now, I can't wait for the finale. Hibiki Episode 48: Well 1 year later it's nice to see that Asumu has evolved and found his own purpose in life wanting to become a Doctor. Kiriya became an Oni which was awesome; his look is awesome. I am happy that Kiriya and Asumu finally respect each other and honestly I think Kiriya finally getting what he wants out of life will be less of a douche, and Asumu will be a great doctor. Todoroki and Ibuki both worrying about Asumu was nice and they both got to destroy a Makamou was a nice touch too. Hibiki kicked butt too and I see this is ending like Faiz with the enemies still being around but you know the Oni have been around for a while so it's not bad that the Makamou still survive too. It's interesting that they have all been clones the Douji and Hime, I wonder if we ever met the original ones or if the ones at the end were clones too? I enjoyed the heck out of the end talk with Asumu and Hibiki it really wrapped things up nicely that Asumu is still Hibiki's disciple even though he's not training to be an Oni and that Asumu wanted his own purpose not just copy Hibiki's I really enjoyed that. Well Another Kamen Rider finished and another one of my real top favorites with Agito and OOO and some others. Time to decide what to watch next. |
Well I've been watching OOO. I've been enjoying it, by like a lot, it has some great characters, and some that could have been handled better.

Finished Stronger.
Overall, the series was a mixed bag for me. The first half was hard to sit through, as the story and characters couldn't really grab me. Stronger himself was okay, though not super-interesting, but Tackle and Tachibana were terribly ineffective and pretty shallow-written. I was so annoyed by them being kidnapped almost every episode that I sometimes just watched an episode while doing other stuff, because it was so repetitive. Overall, for a hero character, I found Yuriko pretty weak both in action and in writing. There was two memorable moments, which is the story about her brother and her death- and the latter just didn't have much impact on me because I never really felt attached to her aynway. Once Black Satan was defeated and Stronger got his upgrade, the show got much more interesting though. While Shigeru and Tachibana remained pretty static, I really liked how the villains of the Delza army worked with or against each other. General Shadow was probably the most interesting character in the show overall. And I loved the part were the old riders returned. It was good that they didn't all come back at once so there was more focus on them, but I do wish there would have been even more out-of-battle interaction between them. Overall, I really like the thought of all Riders working together and I enjoyed those episodes a lot. |

I'm at episode 27 of Agito and I'm loving it, but that Inoue writing does get annoying every once in a while.
P.S. Hikawa punching Hojo was hilariously awesome |

Well I finished OOO, and it was enjoyable. Glad I finished it after holding back on it for 2 years, but there were some loose ends. The ending in terms of characters I liked, but the final fight, just to me I couldn't take that final "boss" thing as the final fight. Overall though the show was enjoyable, which I think some of today's Toku needs more of. It's probably one of my favorites but not the top.

I do agree, OOO was a very good show, though personally I enjoyed Fourze more. |
Hibiki and The Seven Senki: Well I freaking loved this movie; I knew it was thematically like Seven Samurai and well I really enjoy that story and I enjoy Hibiki so I definitely felt that I was going to enjoy this movie. First off the characters were so much fun: I loved the past Ibuki he was great being bored of being a Daimyou and wanting to do more. Todoroki was pretty solid more confidence and I loved when he gave Hibiki back his Oni tools. Kabuki was amazing, going into the movie I knew one of them was going to betray them but I didn't think it was going to be him. I was so convinced he was good that his betrayal was shocking to me. (which also sucked because he had one of the best designs) Though at the end I liked that he had some heart left in him. Kirameki was interesting that he was a coward in the beginning but gained courage by the end and helped kick Makamou butt. Nishiki was hilarious and I enjoy a good thief also that his weapon was a three-section staff that turns into a Triangle was one of the greatest things ever. Touki was interesting (anyone played by Kenji Matsuda is) being a Buddhist monk and a guy with a gong as his weapon was totally awesome. Habataki I loved from the beginning being a family man whose wife wants him to fight and live to return home; also being a flying Oni with a flute weapon made him totally badass. Overall the designs of the new Oni were simply amazing and I am kind of sad they didn't bring them into the show I mean Kabuto handled about 7 riders or so, I'm sure that Hibiki could have done some of that in the show too. Then again I am saddened a lot of Movie Riders aren't used in the series. Still the whole origin of Takeshi is really interesting and feels really connected to the show. Honestly I like both origins of the Armed Saber and this was really cool here but I think that they should have shown us how the 7 Onis in the past should have defeated Orochi but that it connected the past to the present was a nice nod too. Overall probably one of my favorite of the Heisei Era movies up their with the Agito, Faiz, and Kabuto ones. Well after the Hyper Battle DVD, I am finished with Hibiki.

I think I'll start watching Wizard. It looks fun.
|
Nobody else seems to like it, but I enjoyed it. And I dig the designs a lot.
|
I like Wizard, too. It took a while to grow on me and it's far from perfect, but I generally had fun watching it and missed it when it was gone.
|
Blade 6:
Woah! I didn't know Wesker was in this! It was a pretty good episode, more hinting at Hajime being an Undead, and that wasn't the reason I wasn't expecting for Tachibana's illness. |
Okay it took me long enough but now I made time to get through a bit of Showa goodness but watching taking some time to get through Kamen rider ZO and J.
They were both really good films although they both felt a bit rushed but then what could be expected from films that were only 45 minutes in length. They are both really different films with different themes centered around what with ZO and family and with J and the environment but I prefer ZO over the two in terms of ideas for the story. They both had really amazing practical effects especially with the Spider Monster in ZO. I found that the rider of both were a bit on the bland side especially with ZO's rider..... I really can't remember the main guys name, I am not even sure if it was mentioned that or I missed it. Well either way outside of my ramblings they were both enjoyable films and glad to take my time to watch them, now to get back to properly starting hibiki and get back to Kuuga. |

on topic things. Watched through the Drive and Gaim crossover, it was just a fantastic movie second to the Megamax movie. Also even though I was meant to do this earlier but now I am going to start this properly watched the first two episode of Hibiki and in which I watched the first episode a long while back to plan my series watch through and of Hibiki, I do enjoy it so far but I can see how Hibiki is quite different than other rider series. I really like Hibiki and Asumu characters at moment, haven't seen enough of the other character to form opinions of them. The editing of Hibiki is something I feel I will need to get used as it is different, not entirely sure the best way of defining it. Either way looking forward to the rest of Hibiki. |
Hibiki was a very special and unique series for the first 30 series. And then they fired everyone, got Toshiki Inoue to write the rest and screwed everything up. It's a pity, really, but I think Toei and Bandai learned greatly from that.
Especially because Hibiki's problem were the toy sales, not the ratings. And that's not because the toys weren't written well in the show- they were just not fun enough for kids to play with. |
Quote:
Although I like some of the ones I like are not the best rated so I will have to see how Hibiki goes. |
Hibiki is such a great show. Everything about it is unique and wonderful.
Stop watching after episode 29. It just turns into Diet Faiz. |
Or he could keep going since there's some good storylines in the later episodes. Like the Zanki Todoroki storyline is something a lot of people love.
|
Okay now at 4 episodes in of Hibiki and I think at this point I have started to like and appreciate the things that hibiki does differently like the cutaways to text that frame the context of the scene, the heavy use of percussion in the soundtrack and I Like how it shows how these operations works and that it takes a lot of effort into hunting these monster.
Really enjoying this and will probably enjoy hibiki while it stays like this, don't screw up too badly Inoue half, I have enough beef with you already. |

Is there anyone as bad as Kusaka in Inoue- Hibiki? |
Quote:
no. no one can be bad as Kusaka. not even Houjo was as bad as Kusaka. speaking of, watched episode 46 of Agito, and this where I really feel Houjo has turned a new leaf. he keeps telling Hikawa to stop being G3 since he keeps becoming blind during fights, and at no point does it seem like Houjo is doing it so he can be G3, but more of he actually cares for Hikawa's safety. it's basically just like, Houjo: dude, I don't even want the suit, but this blind thing is gonna get you killed. Hikawa: BUT JUSTICE AND PROTECTING PEOPLE THOUGH! Houjo: aw man.... and then later he's the one to save Hikawa. really nice turn of character for him. also.... KINO-SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! TTATT |
Quote:
Yeah Houjo has decent develop for his character in the later stages. Also poor Kino. Slighty on topic Kuuga episode 25 I feel I should have gotten through the next episodes since 2 parters but I am tired and wanted to get this out of the way. I liked the introductions to how dangerous the new clans as and I like the ideas of timeskip in the series, hyped for rising pegasus in the next episode. |

I don't even know if I can refer to Kusaka by his internet nickname but lemme say I don't think I've ever heard of a rider in hibiki that anyone ever thought to refer to a name at the level of Kusaka's.
speaking of Kuuga, I need to post some of the stuff I found of my hong kong kuuga subs. they're a great treat if you can find the full set. here's one of them http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1434243643 |
I'm thinking about either re-watching Kabuto or Den-O, or starting a new series (Likely Hibiki)
But I'm unsure. The main reason why I'm considering re-watching Den-O is because I legitimately can't remember what happens during the last quarter, while Kabuto is because Kabuto. |
