Dose anyone here read the Cosmere?
|
Just finished reading Star Wars: Splinter of the Mind's Eye. It's a pretty interesting read. Also, did you know that this book was originally written to be filmed as a low-budget sequel to A New Hope in case the film itself wasn't considered a success? Anyway, it's onward to the next SW novel, The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance and then followed by Republic Commando: Order 66.

Made a list recently and I have 31 Star Wars Legends books left to read, among them Splinter of the Mind's Eye. Considering making it the very last one I read.
In the meantime I've gone back to A Song of Ice and Fire with A Feast for Crows. |
Still reading Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance. I now have at least 100 pages left to read and hopefully, I will be able to finish it either sometime this week or the next so I can get down to the next SW novel on my (unofficial) reading list, Republic Commando: Order 66.

I'm now reading Star Wars: Republic Commando: Order 66 and I'm already close to the halfway point of the novel. Next SW novel after this is The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime. After that, it's The Old Republic: Annihilation.
Will take a minor break from them in between by reading Batman: Noel and A Zombies Christmas Carol in a week or two since the holidays are coming up and all that jazz. |
Spent a chunk of the day...yesterday I guess, and now today as well...reading the first volume of Vertical's release of Bakemonogatari. Really fucking fun and really great. Makes me wish I wasn't avoiding reading Kizu for my own reasons. And...that the releases for the other two volumes hadn't been delayed. Hell, while I'm at it, also that they hadn't split up the original two volumes into three. Oh well.
Really good read. Had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion, and it was certainly a better experience than the anime adaptation--or so I say, but as I watched it around 3 or 4 years ago, it's hard to say. (Man, time sure flies, what the hell). Whatever the case, I have a newfound appreciation for at least one of the characters and the story in general. I hope I have as much fun with the other installments, and that Vertical is able to continue with this series well beyond Nise. But man, it sure took me a while to get though this one book. It isn't even that thick. I remember being a way faster reader. I think all that manga may have rotted my brain. |
Finished reading Star Wars: The Old Republic: Annihilation last night and with this, I have now completed reading all of The Old Republic tie-in novels.
Now, I just started taking up reading up on musical librettos since I have been listening to various versions of musical soundtracks as well as watching a few stage productions and concerts and even a few film adaptations about certain musicals as of late including Rent, Sweeney Todd, and Little Shop of Horrors and a few others. |
I am currently reading Dungeoneering For Assholes. Both volumes are quite helpful and I can not wait till Volume 3.

Well, Yamada and the Seven Witches is finally over. It certainly felt like it went on for longer than it needed to and the resolution was rushed, but at least there was one and it was quite the happy ending. Perfect way to start off one's day reading that chapter heh.

Found myself finally getting back to reading Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Wild Space on which I haven't done in a year or so ago since I first started it. I almost forgot about how much I enjoyed Karen Miller's writing of most of the major and supporting characters of TCW series.
