We had more RKF Build figures than we did in Build's actual gimmick line. Ex-Aid wasn't far from that, either. For what was supposedly the budget line, past gimmick figures were expensive yet they were losing features over time. Ghost, Ex-Aid, and Build's gimmick lines were rising towards 3000 yen. Compare that to RKF, which is literally impossible to buy at full retail price since it's always discounted, or SO-DO, which speaks for itself. I never want to see those releases again. They were a shithole. The only thing they have over RKF and SO-DO, IMO, is that they're 1/12 scale. Those old figures also had pretty decent paintjobs, for the most part. SO-DO has literally done everything better than the previous lines of gimmick figures - which also includes reproducing gimmicks from the shows. You are misinformed/uninformed. SO-DO has an incredibly insane amount of playability even WITHOUT using the "intended" mix and match combos, since they share so many parts. There is no point in starting up another line just for the sake of affordability, when SO-DO and RKF are so incredibly cheap. And trust me, with the way Saber handles its formchanges, there is no fucking toyline in the world that will perfectly replicate what you can do in the flash belt lol |
After watching The Phoenix Swordman and the book of ruin, im getting sadder since we might never seen Falchion and Emotional dragon in RKF.
Saber’s RKFs is the one that motivate me to pass this dark pandemic hour |

Falchion at least would be nice. It's strange, outside of SO-DO months later and I think Sofubi you just don't see figures of these guys at normal retail anymore. You'd think promoting such toys would be half the reasoning behind movie exclusives?

HOOOOOOO BOY, Funasen of the CSM blogs is treating us good today!
Take a look at both Eneiken Noroshi AND Jikokuken Kaiji! Not the slightest hint about when or how these will be released, but they both look amazing. (I've also broken down the post on Twitter, as there's some pretty amazing non-Saber stuff hinted at too...) Source: https://toy.bandai.co.jp/series/ride...l/2040/?t=blog |
I've been wondering something about those. Both Sabela and Durendal have a unique Buckle and holder. If Bandai wasn't planning on releasing it, they would have just given them the standard holder, or the sword of logos buckle. The fact that they made a new one and went out of their way to name it makes me think they're gonna release it. It wouldn't make sense to release it on it's own. It probably wouldn't sell.
But then, which sword to release it with? Which leads to my theory: Noroshi, Kaiji and the Buckle are getting releaed in a single set. If you want one, you need to get both. |
