Have to agree with SH here, though.

Whether we like to admit it or not, Sentai is primarily targeted at young boys and I don't think Bandai or Toei wants to take a risk that "big", figuratively speaking. And as bad as it may sound, I think what Bandai is concerned about is if there's a chance that young boys wouldn't buy the Sixth's stuff if there was primarily a female character on it, even if it might not hold any water at all. There's nothing new about a company being too scared to reach outside their established target demo.

But with all that being said, I'd be pleasantly surprised if we were proven wrong by Bandai/Toei. Plus, I think if we were to get a female Sixth, a more experimental season like Zenkaiger would be the perfect place to try it out.

That said, I love that the non-robotic member pays tribute to the two teams that never had a robot with his costume design. And apparently Kaito/Zenkaiser's dad and mom's names are references to Isao Sasaki and Mitsuko Horie, the duo that sang the theme song for Gorenger while his grandmother Yatsude is a nod to Saburo Yatsude, the collective that write the Super Sentai shows.

Zenkaiger: who's likely to return?

If they ever do have a Gokai vs Zyuoh moment mid-show I would like to see them bring back Big One, Tyrannoranger, Gao Yellow, Magi Pink, and Bouken Blue at the least.

It would be nice to have each ranger fight alongside one of their counterparts.

I'd be down for a Boukenger vs Super Sentai type deal again

I know Kei Horie who played Gaku/Gao Yellow is more into behind the scenes being a director/producer and all these days, but would love to see him reprise his role. Yuuta Mochizuki has reprised his role as Geki a while back in Kyoryuger VS Go-Busters so I am sure he is up for it if they call him, Ayumi Beppu and Masashi Mikami(who recently appeared as the former Kamen Rider Blades in a flashback scene) are still in showbiz and Hiroshi Miyauchi still acts as well so I hope it happens.

Speaking of counterparts, do you think the red ranger will get forms based on each dino sentais' main mechs?
