So I made it pretty clear I've never shopped on CSToys before. Somebody please explain this whole activation process.

It's sorta a way for everyone to have a fair shot at the goodies they get in. CStoys does a video near the middle of the week on their youtube page where they show off all the new stock they're getting in, and then at the Activation time they essentially update the site with new merchandise and stock that they got in that week. Which is how we knew about the AC stuff they got in, the video told us and then anyone who was out to get those figures just had to be on the site during Activation time and get one (with any luck)

While I end up missing it most times due to work I really do like this process, it's fair to it's customers and half the time websites update their stuff without anyone knowing prior. And even if the prices are a bit higher on CStoys, the service is something I've never really seen, especially how they film and take pictures of your order as it's being sent out, never seen that before in an online retailer.

Is anyone buying a case of Candy Toy Lock Seed wave 4? I want the Faiz Lock Seed but none of the others and it looks like the cheapest I can get it on it's own is $17 shipped off cs toys, I'd rather take a duplicate off someone if possible.

Can anyone tell me off hand what the chances are CStoys would combine orders if I make another one today? I already ordered the Kiwi/Mango Arms set which I did as a rapid buy it now but I'm thinking of getting a few more lock seeds through them.

Luckily I didn't really want any LED versions, all of the rider locks are still in stock now, so even if I hadn't ordered at activation, I would've gotten it.

There's lots of hints at it on the site. For starters the "New Arrivals" tab coupled with the big yellow countdown right above it.

They activate new items every Sunday at 8pm JST. They'll usually have one or two videos on YouTube showing what items they got in. Usually uploaded in the Thursday-Saturday range. If you follow their ustream channel, you can watch the unboxings live. Alternatively, you can just sign up for their newsletter which tells you what they will be activating and how many of each item.

An important thing to note is that if you're looking for Candy Toy or Gashapon items, they're usually not included in the big shipment videos because they haven't got them in yet. Those usually arrive on Saturday and they will do demos which are live on ustream and then uploaded to YouTube.

They can ship them in the same box for you, but you'll still pay shipping cost twice. They don't have a dynamic way of combining shipping like other places.

And Set 9 is Blade/Kiva. Set 8 is Kabuto/Momotaros.

Because anybody who hasn't ordered from the site before is supposed to know what the countdown freaking means. On the listing for the item itself, it said nowhere "coming soon" or "in stock soon" (like AmiAmi does now). Just "out of stock" at the time (and again now since it legitimately is). So you expect me to take it as meaning anything else?

Yeah I don't do streams. Nor does this sound like a particularly exciting one to watch anyways. Don't think I should have to watch a video to see what they actually have in stock either... I can understand the courtesy of it, but it seems like an incredible waste to me if I'm only waiting for one thing.

CSToys is a small store. They can't run things like AmiAmi or other larger sites.

You can usually count on them getting the gashapon/candy toy sets on time. Or even a week late(as is the case of Gash set 08) the numbers for gashapon are always the same. They come in sets of 50. 45 regulars and 5 LED. Adjusted to 44 and 4 because of the ones they use for demo/display.
Candy tends to vary. Sometimes they'll get more, sometimes they'll get less.
If you don't want to hassle with any of this, I woudn't mind helping you out with info if you want anything in the future.

Also, there's not really a point in checking, because Gash/Candy don't get restocked. You're only bet now is to check Mandarake. Will probably be in the 1500-2000 range if/when you find one.

It's simply because the gashapon/candy stuff only sees one production run. Nearly all of them end up in machines. Or stores for candy toy. Once they're gone, they're gone. They don't see continued production like the gimmick line/DX stuff does.

There are other stores that offer gashapon, but usually at higher prices and not nearly as easy to deal with.

Price depends on what exactly you're talking about (lockseed, AC, ETC). As for where, pretty much any of the known sites that sells them like HLJ, Ami Ami, CSToys, Mandarake, Amazon, etc.

But serious the cheapest I'd pay for them is about $20 to $35. But ACs have skyrocketed into ridiculous prices since after Christmas.

Price for a standard AC figure according to are around 3000 yen. Take into Paypal's current conversion of 99.5619 Yen to 1 USD, the current price in USD would be $30.13. Anything within that range-$5 plus I think is worth it, as long as it's the total price.

Hi guys, quick question here, umm, so should I get a Sengoku Driver or a Gaburevolver? I don't know of this is the right the right thread or not so.

Get whatever one you prefer.

Owning both, it's hard to say. GabuRevolver doubles as your fire arm, but the hassle of having to get all the Zyudenchi you want is hard, especially #2-5, unless you buy the DX Zyudenchi set. The SengokuDriver is fun, but you may need a belt mod for it if you got a belly like me, and the lock seeds are kinda hard to find too, at least in DX format, for a decent price. Plus, SengokuDrivers go only as low as 4000 yen (just basing on how much I paid for mine) while GabuRevolvers go as low as 2500yen. It's really up to you on how much money you got and how much you're willing to spend.

I'd say Sengoku Driver, but I'm also biased as hell. :p

But seriously, if you like both then go with whichever one you like more.

Do you happen to know the case packout for SG4? I have a box coming, but since there's only six Lockseeds in the box, and four in the set, I hazard a guess but I imagine it's something like 2x Melon Energy, 2x Kiwi, 1x Faiz and 1x Agito.

If there is another Faiz, I'll PM you once I get mine, but since the Rider Lock Seeds are the only thing I am looking for in the Candy Toy sets (and stuff like Durian where there was no DX version at the time, and Himawari where there won't ever be), I doubt I'll have an extra.

Both. Gaburevolver is so cheap now. Might even get cheaper. But get a Sengoku Driver first. That thing I don't see becoming cheaper anytime soon.

Also Zyudenchi aren't super hard to get and are generally cheaper than Lock Seeds.

I don't even want to think about how much I spent on all of my Gaim stuff so far. I will say that it was totally worth it though. All kinds of fun. Much more than the Gaburevolver.

That being said, I don't see myself getting rid of either of them.

Ah thanks man! I've been wanting the Revolver but then you only get two batteries and well then you have to hunt down the others at this point. Whereas the Sengoku driver is in the similiar shell, and hmm both good toys brain hurts!

Hmm good point made here, but the Revolver has all those sounds I just need like all those other batteries though, and the Sengoku driver does look just as fun, but again buying other lock seeds, which look pretty good too and fun, my Gridon my brain hurts from thinking.

I would like to point out that Fresh Pine comes with "Youchien" Magazine and not TV-Kun. And I cannot find ANYWHERE that's selling it. Released February 1st.

I have a question. And since Gaim made me think of it, I'm going to ask it here. Do you think they design the costumes and the show and then the toys, or do the toy designs comes first and they try and make it look like the sketches in the show?

Cause I watched Sigurd henshin and.. I'm really trying to figure out how he and peach are going to work as Arms Change figures.

I can only guess since Kamen Rider's sales are merchandise driven that the toys are at least designed at the same time as the costumes. Maybe some suits were probably not initially meant to be toys such as Bravo or most of the Energy Riders so they can "cheat" on these designs a bit more since they don't have to worry about lining up with merchandise.

Hah, I came to the same conclusion. Seems like Fresh Pine might become rare to come by.
