I'm sorry, Den-O and Kickback. I've been a pretty vocal anti-JDFer since he started trying to manipulate this contest and if my comments have had a detrimental effect on the reputation of the site, then I am truly sorry. This is a great place and I'd hate to be a party to harming it in any way.

Moving on from my last musing above, I'll try to curb the commentary.

I'm gonna keep fighting for Phantom Ranger and Titanium, and I feel that's what we should be focusing on. The fact that this was turned into a war on BOTH SIDES (I'm sure there was some anti-Tommy people cheating the system. Either that, or about 50,000 votes were made against Tommy, rather than for their favorite ranger). And no excusing JDF either, but we know he has an ego. The FAQ for Morphin Madness says that this is supposed to be a vote for one's favorite ranger, and yes, Tommy (the character) is a lot of people's favorite. I like that we're looking at the potential Ranger Key aspect of this tournament, but its secondary to choosing the character you legitimately like the best. When this campaign became more about Tommy winning or losing, rather than voting for your favorite character, it revealed, once again, the extremely immature nature of the PR fandom, something I though Tokunation was trying to avoid compared to other boards.

Tl;dr: Just vote for who you want. If you're voting for your favorite ranger, no matter who it is, cool. If you're voting for exclusive Ranger Keys, then lets keep working to make Titanium and Phantom win. Just stop being indignant. Its not doing your cause any favors. This is an online popularity contest.

EDIT:I have been really slowly typing this on my phone since before Kickback and Den-O posted again and I want to say that I totally understand your intent and don't blame you for this circus.

This whole thing makes the Watergate scandal look small in comparison.

In hindsight attaching a chainsaw to that RC Car probably wasn't the best idea. Handling the controls while drunk probably didn't help matters.

BOA served "justice" and lowered the votes on the rangers that had "hacked" votes. Needless to say, we are absolutely livid.

Early on I voted everyday for JDF rangers. I was unaware of the future key sets and wanted a white ranger key. There was some shady business in the voting and its a bit on the ridiculous side to call out boa because they found a bot.....like a ton of people have been pointing out for some time now. Most likely we'll only get one tommy key in the set now anyhow as green and white will potentially face off next week. So its been fun.....errrr...not. This whole thing has really brought out the hate on 2 sides of the fandom. People calling other people's reactions and opinions invalid ON BOTH SIDES. Since when do we need politics in Power Rangers?
Cant some of the fans be glad they'll get a JDF key picked and another group happy they get a phantom or titanium key without all the negativity?

I agree with you...but at the same time, I see why there's such an outrage. I'm a HUGE Tommy fan, but some of the other people from this thread have explained to me why they're upset, and I can see their point. Let's face it, Tommy's SUPER popular. Even if all his Rangers were to lose in this competition, chances are 100 to none that each of his Rangers will still get a key. But other Rangers that were also awesome, but maybe not as popular, like Dino White, Jungle Fury Wolf, Zeo Gold and Titanium Ranger for instance, if they don't win in the competition, there's a good chance they won't be made at all, since they weren't as big as Tommy and also some of them being 5th/6th Rangers(which a lot of times fall to the side). Like I said, I'm a HUGE Tommy fan, but even from week one, I only wanted the White Tiger Ranger to be one of the Final Five. Not because I hated the other Tommy Rangers, but it'd be stupid to have this huge amazing competition and 4 of the 5 Rangers from 20 generations/iterations are the same person, Tommy Oliver. Does that make sense...?

The Mighty Morphin Green and White Rangers are two of the most popular Power Rangers of all time. They're also two of the most marketed characters and toys of all time in the Power Rangers franchise.

To possibly see a contest where these two characters were not going to be featured was exciting - it meant we might actually get something different, something worthwhile, something meaningful to fans of all 20 years of Power Rangers and not just the first three.

Everyone knows there was cheating. I just can't fathom how BoA's correction included BUMPING up the totals for, LITERALLY, for every Power Ranger against the ones we pushed to win (literally, every single one ... listen to the podcast and then look at the before/after vote totals). You're telling me that a couple thousand votes for Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger were invalid, and that Red Samurai Ranger needed a bump? I can't even wrap my head around that.

To me personally it screams that Bandai did their research to see who would win and who would lose. That these brackets were not ever "random" at all - that 5 specific Power Rangers were intended to win (the only one that didn't matter was MMPR Green/White, as they will get a Ranger Key release at mass retail anyways). With cheating in place, they did the right thing in adjusting down votes that were invalid. But I cannot see how BUMPING other Rangers was necessary. I didn't think there was a legitimate way to DECREASE someone's votes, only INCREASE them through an exploit.

Enjoy your MMPR Green Ranger, MMPR Yellow Ranger, MMPR Red Ranger, Samurai Red Ranger, and Super Megaforce Red Ranger keys. Not like four of them are available now or listed to be available, with a literal no-brainer in MMPR Green.

I'm right there with you in understanding the rare rangers getting keys. This week I've only voted for the rangers you've listed here. It's just stupid that there's outrage against tommy rangers when freakin MMPR red and yellow are winning with NO "movements" from the moderation of this site. I think a jdf hater really screwed the pooch for some of these rarer rangers.

I'm not ready to give up yet. #VoteTitanium & #VotePhantom still have a fighting chance. And I'm gonna make damn sure they don't get shafted like all the other rangers in this bracket. We're at least getting 2 unique keys out of this damn it.

Yeah, I agree with you on that too. Also, why an MM Red Ranger instead of Jungle Fury Rhino? There's a good chance we may never see a Rhino Ranger key, but there's already a full Mighty Morphin(And Super Megaforce as well) Key Pack made! (Excluding White and Green, but those are inevitable) and in In Space Red vs Jungle Fury Wolf's case, I'm preety sure they're making an In Space set, and you know the Red Space Ranger will be in it, where as Jungle Fury Wolf wasn't a initial JF Ranger, and won't be in the JF three-key set, if it's made at all. Long story short... LET'S GO WOLF RANGER!!! RJ ALL DAY!!! Lol
