I heard that Specter was in a coma and his spirit is trying to find a way to wake himself up, so I guess the zig zag lines represent that.

I think that was just a theory, but who knows?

You know what? I just now noticed the Specter eye on the chest has two wisps at the top. Nice touch.

Yeah, that's just speculation at this point. It would make sense (probably) and be an interesting thing if it was true, but still just speculation.

Anyway, there's quite a few videos of hacked Driver sounds popping up on Youtube but very little actual footage of this being done. Sucks. There was one video that listed the pin configurations for everything, though, so if I get my Driver before it's irrelevant (onore hlj) I guess I could check those out myself...

I'm gonna be hounding AmiAmi, hoping they put up the Driver before HLJ finally gets backorders. I've never gone after the DX stuff as they come out, so when does AmiAmi usually release the flood gates?

This is the first time I'm doing that as well, so I honestly wouldn't know. It felt like it took them quite a while to put up the Shift Next Special Set and the Ore Eyecon (and when they finally did they sold out pretty quickly) so I really wouldn't be able to even guess.

Look like Japanese fans took to looking into the code of the QR Code page on the Ghost website and have been able to deduce who the 15 "hero" Eyecons will be. At least, if I'm interpreting this correctly.

If true, I am a bit disappointed in the choices...only a bit though. The notable thing is that they're very Japanese--Goemon, Ryoma, Himiko, Sanzo...Houdini and Grimm are the only western samples here.

Which...gets me thinking. The show is set in Japan, so it makes sense that there would be a bunch of Japanese Damashii....but there's still a lot of western Eyecons programmed into the Driver, which is weird. And more importantly, there is that thing from the original synopsis that said Ghost would travel around....and quite possibly, the "99...98 days" plot isn't going to last the full show.

So maybe. So maybe they do the "collecting 15 Eyecons" thing for the first part of the show, get a bunch of japanese Eyecons, then start traveling for Some Reason and that's when all the extra, western Eyecons come in?

Maybe? I'd like that, I think...

Definitely an option. Unless Takeru steals Makoto's Eyecons, he would still need 3 more. But considering how much they've been pushing the "15 Eyecons" thing...

Necrom makes me a little sad though, both because the m makes it sound weird, and because an idea for a Rider I had been doodling up was called Necro. (rip, necro).

Guess Boost was an upgrade after all. No big surprise there.

The Rider Machines in Ghost are weird. There isn't any kind of cohesive naming scheme and the two we've seen so far look completely different from each other. What's up with that? I like variety, but I just wish there was some sort of discernible pattern.

Megauruoda/Megaulodor might be a transformation brace with an eye drop motif. Glass Rusher rumoured to be a sunglasses-themed sword. Houdini is linked to the Machine Hoodie in some way.

Hoping we get some scans soon to confirm all this.

I hate what the word Neromancer has become synonymous with. It doesn't mean you can raise the dead and control them like everyone thinks. The word actually means "to divine through the dead". Its a form of divination. Like Tarot Cards, and Pyromancy (the stuff you see Sailor Mars doing when she sits in front of a fire and gets visions). To control something one would use the word "kinetic". Pyrokinetics is what Pyro from X-Men does.

Apparently Specter is rumored to combine with his bike when transforming into Houdini form. Maybe that explains the chained motif of the Machine Hoodie? Seems like it could be interesting.

I don't really see how that would work at all considering the gimmick but I guess weirder things have happened. I did think back to the chains when it was first brought up though...it'll be interesting either way.

About Necrom though, since that Megaruoda thing (it's totally just called the MegaLoader, come on, eye puns) is his transformation device and a brace-type one at that...I'm kinda hoping he also uses the Ghost Driver maybe? Like, he has the Driver, and the Loader interacts with it through infrared a la Drive. Could be cool and would allow the Eyecons to remain usable for him...probably not though.

And I mean, whatever Necrom is, he kind of has to still be compatible with the rest of the GC line, right? He kinda has to. I really wonder how he'll look and just...work.

And I'm guessing the Boost Eyecon is going to come with that Glass Rusher sword. Sigh, these weapons and their Eyecons...Sunglass sword sounds hilarious though, kinda looking forward to it.

Shouldnt be that long until Scans pop up. We got the Second Quarter scans for Drive last year on October 8th.

Barnstench, the part about the sunglasses sword being laughable, I got one name for you. Gurren Lagann. Granted he used them as a boomerang as well.

I've heard that maybe the sword is actually called the "Gla-Slasher" which sounds cooler to me.

I didn't say laughable, I said hilarious. The former sounds negative and judgmental, the latter just means it's funny. Most things about Gaim's transformation items and devices are completely hilarious, for instance, but they're also still really cool.

Same with this. Shade swords are a deliciously silly, deliciously toku idea, and for an eye-based season, it's pretty much perfect.

Aaaaah this is so exciting. Necrom uses eyecons. The remaining 6 of the 15 are coming out soon. Necrom is green (I've wanted a green Rider in Ghost since forever). So exciting.

The only thing is Houdini is nowhere to be seen even though we know he's coming out. Weird.
