it literally makes no sense to do this though.

kamen rider kits as they are, basically already exclusively scale with themselves anyways. kamen rider isn't popular like gunpla to the point where basically every single suit/form can be expected to have representation. kamen rider kits are almost exclusively main riders - I can only imagine how unbearably limited kamen rider releases would be if we had different scales. think of how many mobile suits lack a 1/100 release; it'd be even worse for kamen rider. the franchise just lacks the same identity that gunpla has.

what they're doing right now is perfectly fine. frs has this identity where they're THE go-to if you want primary riders at a consistent quality at an affordable price. it doesn't really make sense to deviate from that.

kamen rider toys already come in different scales by having multiple, non-model kit lines. as previously stated, it would only ever work if they did rider mechs, which are pretty unpopular anyways.

This. But they're already starting to branch out with the rider machines which is big progress. The next wishlist is for them to tackle secondaries, but maybe after they do all the heisei riders first. Gattack, Kaixa, Cross-Z, and Diend would be ideal.

Though, I suspect they'll do Reiwa riders first.

This one, too. As I said before, SO-DO/SHODO exists, so making riders in their scale would be unnecessarily competing with them. FRS doesn't technically compete with SHF because they're different scaling and tackle different things. 1/8 is also a thing with the MG and Artisan line, too. The only thing that would need different scaling is if one needs a decently-sized kit of the mecha or rider machines. The latter being already done with the showa bikes.

I'll be surprised if they don't do Accel, though the most likely non-main suits I'm expecting outside of repaints are Gatakiriba, Ratoratah and Tajador

I adore how FRS Fourze looks. The proportions and sculpt are spot-on to the suit. I just wish these weren't so damn big...

Boy, I hope I can learn how to panel-line in a non-embarrassing way before that suit drops. Those rocket hands! Yeesh! I hope I don't spend an afternoon building something just to ruin it with a Gundam marker.

Panel Lining is super easy and probably the first thing most people learn in customizing model kits. Fourze looks particularly friendly towards panel lining because you just fill in the pre-molded lines.

Any guide online should help you out, but essentially, you can use a white eraser to clean up any mistakes you make with a panel liner.

The fact that there's even a Super Rocket Switch is blowing my mind. Some of these people work ungodly fast!

I do wonder why Bandai has been so hesitant to do alt forms/secondary Riders. So far only W has had any alt forms, and only Geiz has been released as a non-primary. Ryuki and Kabuto especially should make for tons of easy retools. We're getting Faiz Axel but it's a straight redeco with no new parts but I really hope we're not just sticking to mains. I want Knight, Accel, Gattack, The Bee, Ibuki, Zanki, Cross-Z, etc.

So much potential.

Personally I think it went something like this:-

- Early on they weren't entirely sure what they were able to do, so wanted to get out at least some popular ones alongside the current show
- After it turned out they were doing well enough, they decided to set themselves a goal of the 20 main Heisei Riders and have just stuck to that for now so that they are able to meet it, rather than slowing themselves down with any diversions

My guess is that now they are very close to their goal, we'll start seeing more interesting things from them at about maybe 3 or 2 to go. Or if they want to set themselves another reasonable goal they'd do the few Reiwa Riders so far, or every Showa or Secondary

I mean we got all the Den-O forms. That was probably testing the waters for non-main rider kits. With Den-O as popular as it is, if those kits don't do well, I doubt we'll see much beyond secondary riders at most. Some secondaries are easy yes, like Knight, but then you have Mach who is so so different from Drive that there's very few parts they could share. And if you do a secondary for X series, people are gonna want secondary for Y series!

But yeah, I also think they are prioritizing the 20 main Heisei riders. It's important to do them all relatively fast lest you end up in a situation where the last release is significantly better than the first release and you spend forever trying to catch them all up to the same quality. Something like the Figuarts line.

The commitment to 20 was important to me because I've collected a lot of toy lines only for them to get discontinued before feeling like they could be "complete". I would still buy the FRS kits because I really like them, but if they only did like 12 and then just stopped-- man I would've hated that.

The Trychaser does indeed come with that, and it's a very cool thing they didn't have to do! So I do hope we'll get the gun and railing with these. Or at the very least with the inevitable Growing

Might pick up Titan because it's my favourite alt form along with Pegasus, but I doubt I'll be able to afford both of them if they're PB.

If Mandarake ever opens up to Canada again I may be tempted to get these. I do love Kuuga's alt forms and I want to support alt forms and secondary Riders whenever we get them.

There's a bunch of US stores that ship to Canada who have been getting these Preban kits, so that might be an easier way!

Either way these are looking beautiful. If I have any complaint it's that it seems they don't come with a railing and a gun like the SODO and Seihous, but I could see those coming with the (at this point inevitable) Growing Form
