Oh well I'm sure the parts will pop up on mandarake or something or if I end up going to Japan during the midnight shadow promotion I'll pick it up then.

Missed out on Drive at AmiAmi, but I just can't make myself stay up that late to watch for him. I'll just wait for the bonus to pop up on Mandarake if I have to, not too big a deal.

I'm more interested in Midnight Shadow anyway, I just wanted the Max Flare effect for Sailor Mars.

Same here, I'm more interested in Midnight Shadow as well. Considering how relatively easy it was to find the Gaim first release bonuses on Mandarake, and how the Drive stuff doesn't seem to be as in-demand as Gaim was, Max Flare probably won't be too hard to obtain fortunately.

I have a question since I lack the knowledge about HLJ service.
Is there any chance of getting first release bonus from HLJ?

Wow Drive went out fast on NY. I guess I will likely wait for him to go out on the after market now seeing that Bluefin is likely not going to release him just like with Gaim if Bandai Tamashii Nation wants to keep their stocks of figuarts limit to Japan.

Sad to say, but with HLJ you're lucky if your preorder gets filled in the first place. They used to awesome once upon a time. Not so much anymore.

HLJ is great for anything not Toku related. They've never screwed me with Gundam, Transformers or any other other item. It's just super strange how bad they are at fulfilling preorders for anything toku.

I've always gotten the initial release bonus from HLJ when ordered right away when they go up. So they do send them if you're lucky enough.

I've heard of people in the past whom got screwed over out of First release pre order bonuses.

Missed my chance at NY unfortunately. Ah well, Mandarake it is, I'm not even going to bother with HLJ. I'm surprised he went so quickly though, I figured he'd last longer considering how it's been relatively easy to get Drive stuff up until now. I won't make that mistake again!

I don't think that their Gunpla pre-orders sell out as fast, I rarely see an Order Stop.

Certain big ones do. PG Unicorn and the LED Kit for instance sold out super quickly. Similar thing happened with Sazabi Ver Ka. IIRC.

And with the RG Exia and a couple others, but none of the HGs and most of the MGs don't go on Order Stop.

I'm sure the fact that Drive came with a pre order bonus of his very first power helped attribute to him selling out quickly.

Still weird that Max Flare wasn't included in his normal accessory count or with Midnight Shadow and Funky Spike...

I hope the lack of text does't mean that really is the case.
Now I want to see how lucky I am. I placed my Drive pre-order immediately when HLJ put it up.
Tbh, I'm not really a huge fan of the Tire Koukan, but I realize this release of SHF Drive Type Speed won't come with the Handwheel-Sword and Door-Gun. So that is my wish to get the bonus to make up for the lacks.
Now I'm back to my waiting-mode for a proper S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kiva annoucement.

Well I'm cheesed off. N-Y cancelled my pre-order for Drive. I guess they pulled a HLJ and oversold the pre-orders. At least they let me know I was SOL in advance. Still, not very happy with them right now.

Just received Femme. I love her, but does anybody else have a hard time with swapping the blades on the Blancvisor? It's long and spindly, and the peg works almost a little bit too well, so I'm forced to apply tons of pressure if I want to take it out. It's a bit easier with the shorter sword but still. I feel like they should have just had two separate swords altogether.


I might just use Figma Siren's sword for sword posing instead.

My Kiwami fortunately does not have a cracked chestplate. There are some creases under it that I'm definitely not fond of, but it could be worse.

Did they seriously glue all of his extra Lockseeds down?? Sure as hell feels like it; I can't get any of them off and it feels like I might snap something.

Also his cape is basically crap... It can't even sit that close to his body because of an inexplicable tab preventing the pin from moving in that direction.

So he's definitely still a lemon in an otherwise excellent line of Gaim Figuarts.

got to admit all this news about Kiwami arms has me worried about mine that is on it's way.

I've just got to knock on wood and hope my good luck with Gaim Figuarts keeps going.

At least my recently acquired Bujin Gaim is beautiful. I love how the metallic red used on him is completely different from Baron. A much more deep ruby red.

That isn't anywhere near uncommon for Amiami pre-orders on new rider figuarts. Especially ones with first run bonuses.

Would it generally be a bad idea to pick up FiguArts Drive much, much later? I'm holding off cuz I don't know if an upcoming power up suit might get made that i'd like better.

Depends on how popular the show will be until then. But even with Gaim you can still find Orange Arms around on Mandarake or similar sites for a reasonable price.

Or you could just pre-order it at a site that doesn’t charge you up-front and where you can cancel your pre-order (HLJ for example). So if a new form that you like better appears/gets revealed until April you can always cancel your order.
