I was initially disappointed with your post because I thought „Extremely limited“ means: US only, 10 codes given out randomly. Then I watched the thing and it said „3 days to download it from the Network“, Europe get's that too. That confused me.

But it's good to get Diancie. I initially didn’t care much about it because cutesy-wootsy Pokémon, but after I saw his Mega evolution is actually a badass sword-fighter in the animated short for OR/AS I wanted one.

That was only Manaphy, Darkrai and Shaymin. Arceus was able to rename in BW from the DW event.

Diancie is now live for PAL regions, including Europe, Australia and New Zealand. I am unsure if or when the US region goes live, but it should be very soon!

Also, it is worth noting that ORAS has achieved a feat no other Pokemon game has done, not even RBY, and that is continue to keep me playing long after I have finished the Elite Four. I am still not bored of this game, and that's incredible in this day and age and with my increasingly short attention span.

What are Eevee and its evolutions? Cats or dogs?

Depends.

Eevee is rather fox-like.
Vaporeon: I'd say is more cat-like
Jolteon: A bit doggy, but more cat-like.
Flareon: Rather hard to pin down, but I say cat
Espeon: Definitely cat, given it's basically a Nekomata.
Umbreon: Also hard to pin down. He's more fox-like than anything.
Leafeon: More cat-like
Glaceon: Also rather cat-like
Sylveon: A weird mix of everything. It has a more cat-like face, but it's ears are more like a cat, but it's tail is more dog-like.

They're more vulpine and catlike. Only very few dog like traits among them.

Umbreon looks very much like a cat with oversized ears and rings painted on it.
I could compare it's build to a fox, but I'm lazy to do the research on body structure.
