James and Meowth?
|
Seems likely. James doesn't really have an iconic Pokemon in the way Jessie has Wobbuffet.

And this line on N's page kills me still.. "Currently available for shipment to Singapore, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand only." Hope he (and we'll know if Cynthia does really) ends up coming out online in the US like Red does eventually, but it'll probably be without any warning again so who knows if I'll get lucky then too. |
Yeah I was tempted to get N, but I'm not jumping through hoops like I did to get Red.

Well, Wobbuffet has been with Jesse through Johto to Sinnoh before being left behind during Unova, then returning for Kalos, I believe.
James' Weezing left at the same time with Jessie's Arbok, Cacnea was left with Gardenia halfway through Sinnoh, Carnivine was left at headquarters for Unova, Victreebel 1 was traded away, and Victreebel 2 was kicked into the horizon and soon fell in love with 1. James just doesn't hold on to Pokemon as long as Jesse, so I think Meowth would be the better option to include with him. Otherwise, I think James' best option for a "Memorable" Pokemon would be his Mime Jr. |

Besides, James is hardly going to come with Weezing if Jessie doesn't come with Arbok. |
I wonder if they'd bring Weezing and Arbok back into the anime if they got megas...

I don't think Mega Evolution would make much difference, seeing as how Ash hasn't even been able to do it yet, despite having 4 Pokemon capable of it (And 3 others who can should they evolve).
So having Arbok and Weezing be able to perform it before any of Ash's would be kind of jarring. |
So i finally made progress in ORAS. I took a page out of Matrix's book and named my new team mate Rarity.

I feel so sorry for Flygon, he didn't get a mega evolution due to laziness.

Poor baby needs standard form stat buffs, more moves, a Mega and Dragon Dance. |
Or the world just needs to accept that Flygon was never meant to be a strong dragon type and was intended to wallow the shallow pools with Kingdra and Druddigon of "Pokemon to pad the type out."

Pokemon Confessions:
I always keep my starter on my team, even if there's a superior Pokemon of that type availablel I never soft reset on starters for best IVs and nature (Mainly because there's like, 20 minutes of dialogue and running back and forth before you get your starter nowadays). I don't build "Optimal" teams while adventuring, almost always just picking Pokemon based on "He looks cool/cute" during the main game. I tend to avoid running legendaries and pseudo-lengendaries on my main team because I'm not a bitch who needs a crutch. |

Excadrill is strictly better? Screw that stupid scratched up mole, Krookodile's where it's at! |

I didn't think anyone would agree :lol
Guess I've been hanging around people who take Pokemon too seriously. I've had to stop battling because everyone was always using the typical Smogon OU bullshit that my UU and NU choices stood no chance against. :lol Gimme Krookodile over Excadrill any day of the week~ |
I try to take Pokemon seriously after i beat the game. :lol
But when i'm playing through the main story i play however i want. |

All Ground types are better than that stupid mole. I need to battle Matrix one of these days, I have some Pokes I wanna show off. |
I take my Pokemon seriously post game.
The difference is that I'm not taking it too seriously. I'm still training up stuff like Fearow over Talonflame, or Gourgeist over Mega Gengar :p I have plenty of Pokemon to use, but I was thinking about training up some new guys, too. |
I have all 3 Shiny Hoenn Legendaries on my team. (Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, Mega Rayquaza)

I love the Ghost/Grass types they introduced. I can't get enough of them.
I just wish Gourgeist was as useable as Trevenant, who's Sitrus Berry+Harvest+Horn Leech makes him an annoying wall :lol |

Eh. I'm not a fan of Rest sets, myself :p

My new roommate loves Pokemon, which is nice. However, he has no idea how to train Pokemon. The amount of stupidity that comes out of his mouth when he tries to give me "Tips" is incredibly annoying.
Here's a few of his thoughts: 1. Shiny Pokemon are invariably stronger than normal ones (This is listed first because it WAS the case in Gen 2, but hasn't been so for the past decade) 2. Female Pokemon are weaker than male (Never true) 3. Some Pokemon have doubled stats when bred right (This one sounds like IVs, but a perfect IV doesn't double their stats (Noticeable increase though? Yes). He also doesn't know how to IV breed anyway (Me neither, but that's not the point >>)) 4. Pokemon born of 2 Level 100 Pokemon are born stronger than average (Seriously) 5. Breeding 2 Pokemon of the same species has better results than with a Ditto (This one not so stupid, but he wouldn't believe me when I told him otherwise, coming up with a bullshit story about his RSE team that was soooo totes strong that could one shot anyone even double their level and he's totally not making things up) 6. Breeding a shiny doubles the odds of the baby being a shiny (Lots of people believe this, annoyingly, though...) He also said something about natures, but that one I couldn't remember because he was spouting so much other nonsense... I wouldn't be so peeved if he didn't just dismiss everything I said as I was ripping his team apart. He wrote my victory off because I used defensive tactics than just going full sweepers, and that he'd win in an all out battle. |

I could've, but just hearing the anger against Milotic is music to my ears~
(That and he didn't want a rematch afterwards :p) |

Honestly I perfectly breed & train my Pokémon (IV, EV, everything) yet I never play Pokémon against other people. I don't know why.
|
I attempted to IV breed, but I wasn't having any fun and I got bored. Now I tend to just breed for natures. Much simpler and it didn't make me want to throw my 3DS.
I know it means my Pokemon, even with max EVs will invariably be weaker, but eh. If I fought someone who was IV breeding, I doubt I'd stand much of a chance anyway since they'd probably be taking the game too seriously :p |
Well I'm IV breeding and you would destroy me, I can tell you that much.
Breeding is really easy since the last generation though. You can get very good Ditto's for breeding through the Friend Safari and with that new item a child can inherit 5 IV's from the parents instead of the old 3. Breeding 5-6 IV's Pokémon is really easy and not very time consuming if you do it right. Also during the actual breeding part of it you can just watch TV or a movie while your doing it. |
I just hate it when people brag about some of their Pokemon and claim that they can't be defeated.
I met a guy who told me that no one could take out his Mega Aggron. I accepted his challenge to prove him wrong. I beat his Mega Aggron with a Stunfisk... The guy obviously didn't EV train or else Aggron would've survived that Earth Power. The dude was silent for the rest of the day XD |
