I was basically marathoning Faiz and didn't feel up to writing a summary atm, but I had to stop in the middle of 27 because is that Orphenoch listening to Busta Rhymes?!

Speaking of which, I'm only up to episode 43, and I guess I should wait til I get to the end to talk about, buuuuut.....I feel like doing so now. I....don't hate Faiz. In fact I may like it more than I'm willing to admit. Though part of that may be reading tons of opinions on it and already knowing the problems it has beforehand. The whole constant cycle of miscommunication thing is incredibly very stupid, but I find it so over the top, that it's kind of amusing. Like Takumi and Kiba tell Keitaro and Kaidou to relay a message...OF COURSE those two goofuses are gonna get it wrong! Generally, what I like about the series is the whole early 2000's era sci-fi toku aesthetic. Weirdly, it's the same sorta vibe I get from the Heisei or Millennium Godzilla movies. Either way, this aesthetic seemed to transfer into the suits and the music as well. I love the Faiz Rider suits and how slick they are. I'm 43 episodes in and I still don't really know what kind of company they're pretending to be, but they make some seriously cool gadgets, lol. As for Faiz himself, Takumi...I actually ended up liking him a lot. HE MIGHT be one of my favorite main Riders. I had heard he was an asshole, but...he's mostly just really anti-social loner at the beginning, for reasons more obvious once you get into the later episodes. I'd still say he's generally more likable than a Rider like Tendou. I actually do like his character development. He's one of the few riders that goes for not wanting to be involved at all, to thinking that being a Rider is cool, to genuinely wanting to protect people through the course of the series. The only other one I can think of that maybe goes through that is Ryotaro in Den-O? Kinda/sorta. One negative thing "I will say is that he is dumbfoundingly naive at times. Not as bad as Shinji form Ryuki, imo, but still... And honestly, I don't think people give Takumi enough credit. In the last episode I watched when he's trying to stop Kaixa and Delta from killing off an innocent Orphenoch, he doesn't attack them, and merely frees the Orphenoch. Then, miraculously for this series, he was actually about to EXPLAIN WHY he did it. Of course, Kaixa cut him off and began to attack him, because he's a dick, but Takumi doesn't even try to fight back, he even de-henshins so as to not fight back. He actually learned how to avoid the biggest problem of this series, aha. And I've noticed a reading here before that a lot of Main Riders in Inoue shows tend to act completely different as a Rider than they do normally, but...I don't think Faiz has that problem. I mean he just sort of pummels the shit out of people. As someone who has no formal training and probably got into a lot of fights anyway 'cause of his smart mouth, I don't really see too big of a difference. As for Kaixa...lol. Why...why is he such an awful person. I feel if he had...more realistic reasoning for why he was such a tool, like Micchy form Gaim, I'd actually hate him more than I do, but he's so inhumanely petty and selfish that it goes right back around to being amusing. Still satisfying when someone kicks his ass though. I am genuinely interested in his backstory and the Ryusei students' history with the Orphenoch as a whole, but...none of it explains why he acts this way aside form his creepy obsession with Mari. Like...for example, when he starts pitting Takumi and Kiba against eachother...he mutters something at Takumi akin to, "It'd be a really bad thing for me if you were to start gathering allies..." Uh...no Kusaka...no it's not! Takumi was your only ally at the time! why try and break him when you've still got all of Lucky Fucking clover to deal with. Even more baffling is when Mari's on her deathbed and Kiba goes to visit her... Kusaka: ...You know it was that Inui Takumi that did this, right? I thought about this scene at work earlier today and legitimately started laughing. I mean WHY?! WHY WOULD HE DO THAT! I mean...I guess he's mad at Takumi for failing to protect her, but...he was like his only ally at the time! Stop dooming humanity! The needless lengths he'd go to betray and plant mistrust in people on his side. ON HIS SIDE! And all of it starting because he doesn't like Takumi and because Mari had a small crush on Kiba. I mean...at least he's consistent, I guess...lol. And then people just instantly believe him most of the time! Now, I don't think it's entirely unreal for them to let him stick around, since he is the most experienced with the Kaixa belt and they need all the allies they can get, but...they sometimes act like he DOESN'T constantly do this shit. I mean this even happened in the Heisei versus Showa Movie! Kusaka: Hey, Takumi...it's your fault that I died, you know. Takumi: Man, I guess you're right... NO! Don't do that! I...I think Kaixa may be in my top secondary Riders list solely for how much I love to hate him, lol. As for Delta....meh, the suit is cool. Don't care much for the main user, atm. I actually really like the original user, but of course she died. I actually find him more unlikable. So far I like this show more than Inoue's last show, Kiva...I dunno why since they share a lot of the same problems, but...I guess the characters are more consistent in their buffoonery in Faiz and I actually like the Orphenoch's and their origins and backstory more than the Fangires. |
Kuuga 27.
Ooh, shiny new opening visuals. I like this one more than the original. Though Sawatori's posing is hella weird. |
Watched the first six episodes of OOO.
I'll say it right now, this show is pretty awesome. It has a quite a bit of energy and the right amount of fun to be very engaging for me, speaking as a KR newbie. Eiji is a pretty likable protagonist, and I really enjoy the dynamic between him and Ankh. The story itself so far, while not perfect, is still interesting enough to make me keep going. Definitely sticking around. :) |

I watched Agito's movie, Project G4. It's okay; not surprising since it's Agito. I'l do a write-up tomorrow. |

OOO is really engaging and the characters are very likeable. It got me immediately hooked on KR myself. So yay for Eiji! |

OOO was amazing from the get go for me and while I may have started with Decade, OOO still remains as one of my top 3 riders/rider shows ever.

Faiz 47
Okay, so NOW this show is actually starting to annoy me. First, Osada dies and now Kiba's a massive villain. I'd at least understand if this change was more gradual and carried over to the last episode or something but uh...he spent forty something episodes believing humans and Orphnochs could work together dude shouldn't be grinning evilly while Lucky Clover beats the shit out of his former friend! He does seem uneasy lying to Kaidou, though....I think. On the other hand, I do think Takumi actually grew a lot over the curse of the series. He seems a lot more idealistic in his viewpoints. I mean I guess he's more of the standard early Heisei rider now but he did come a long way from the standoffish punk he was at the beginning. Also Faiz hasn't been That bad about explaining things, imo. A bunch of questions I had have been shockingly answered aside from, 'Where did THIS powerup come from?' The Orphenoch king though...uh. I thought the King would be the first Orphnoch or some sort of secret leader, but now that it's shown what he is, it takes the Orphenocs from sci fi monsters to to...some weird mystical shit. Also, wait...is the goat the mentor form Dairanger?! |
Quote:
He does. Personally I really enjoyed how he grew as a character that could give two shits about anything or anybody to wanting to protect the world and the dreams of its people. I think he got a little "Fuck life and shit" too many times over the series, but at least the final time they pull it you get some nice dramatic moments from it. The King is kinda weird too...and it leads to one of the biggest problems with Faiz's story. |

It was just a fun little movie but then you are also reaching the ending of Faiz which is one of Faiz's main issues. |
Faiz basically ends with a lot of plotpoints not really given closure.
it's what kinda made me disappointed in the whole thing. |

Anyway...Faiz 48-50 Masato Kusaka isn't exactly a character you mourn...but his death is still a tragic one, nonetheless. I'd almost say I'll miss his inhuman douchery, but as I know form Kamen Rider Taisen he literally comes back from the dead to continue being a dick so lol. His former classmates along with Keitaro and Takumi for some reason will mourn for him though. It makes sense that his classmates are saddened by his death honestly. They were literally the only people he was ever halfway decent to...in his own Kusaka way. I'm can't see why Takumi took his death THAT badly. I guess they had some antagonistic camraderie. I'm surprised Takumi actually told Mari and Keitaro about his death. He really has gron a lot form the beginning aha. Too bad the other Ryusei students never got to see their dad one last time or find out what happened to him. Speaking of their dad...why didn't he just make Takumi president?! I mean...it wouldn't have solved EVERY problem but...it just made more sense. He's even seen Takumi in action before and he HAS to know he's an Orphenoch. I just...well, okay Kaidou at least realized early on that something was up with Kiba's plan. He still may be a weird jerk (I mean did he even ask where Osada was?!), but his hearts in the right place. I like how he sorta became friends with everyone in the end. When Takumi refused to tell Kaidou that Teruo was the Orphnoch king, that's the one withholding of information I can sorrrta get since Kaidou felt sort of responsible for Teruo....but when Kiba told him Kaidou took the information fairly well, so it was pointless anyway. Mihara....is very pointless. I'm glad Kiba got knocked back to his senses, but...did he have an more evil version of his horse form during his fight with Takumi or were my eyes deceiving me. His sacrifice...I mean I saw it coming, and I'm glad he died heroically, even if..it was kinda ultimately pointless. The Orphnoch king...doesn't make much of any sense at all. But the final battle looked cool enough. Except for Mihara he didn't do much...And yet he doesn't seem to be dead only very badly hurt as Saeko promises to heal him...great. And Takuma became a wimpy construction worker...um, okay....he's such a weird character lol. Also what the hell is Smart Lady anyway? An Orphnoch...right? Takumi's final line about finding a dream is pretty good and there's the vague maybe death I've heard a lot about before. This scene honestly wouldn't have been that bad if...anything else about the ending made sense. Speaking of the ending...isn't it just the Agito ending more or less. Main Rider kicks the main villain and a massive flash of light is shown and then it shows what the characters were all doing in the aftermath. Ah well. I do really prefer the Paradise Lost version of events save for a few things, but yeah Faiz wasn't the perfect series. I guess given all the complaints I've heard about it, it couldn't be. That said, I enjoyed a lot of it and most of the problems it had for the first 40 or so episodes amused me anyway. And Takumi is probably one of my favorite Riders now, because despite whatever problems the series itself has, he did really grow as person and Rider and came a long way. Next Rider thing I watch might be the Kamen Rider 4 special since I hear it's sort of an epilogue to Faiz anyway. And the next Rider series I watch is probably gonna be me finishing up Hibiki....at least the first half. I may like Faiz but I'm not sure I want to watch Hibiki all Faiz'd up... |
It's time for another episode of What's up with Agito?
This week: Project G4 The movie felt a bit weird and disconnected from the show, but that's to be expected considering the nature of the pre-Den-O movies. I did find the facility with the powered children to be interesting, but it wasn't explained very well. Why did it exist? It couldn't have been to harvest powers for G4, as they didn't have that design yet. I liked the Unknown attack at the beginning, but why did they attack? So many questions... Composition-wise, nearly half the movie just felt like a string of short vignettes. The story shows one character for a minute then it jumps to another character then to another. It made the movie feel too choppy, and while I know it was probably to show all the characters before bringing them together, but the scenes felt to short to smoothly transition. The plot...doesn't really make sense. Aside from the unexplained facility at the beginning of the film, why are the bad guys (I don't think they even named their organization, did they?) interested in G4? Where's the Overlord of Darkness during all this? Story just feels kind of awkward and unexplained; the evil organization wants to create G4 and kidnap Mana because...reasons. How did they even know about G4? And what's up with the Unknown? Why are they helping fight against the main Riders? Or is it just coincidental? And what''s up with Mana's vision at the end? I'm assuming its just an AU thing that's not really important, but it's weirdly focused on. Side note: Anyone else think this movie felt a bit similar to Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace? New mysterious bad guy comes in, infiltrates the good guys' ranks, kidnaps a girl close to the protagonists to facilitate his plans, and at the end they need to fight their way through a crowd of generic bad guys to get to the big bad. EDIT: Both were written by Inoue, so that explains it. But the real star of the show is Hikawa/G3-X. Hikawa felt more like the main Rider of the movie, as he actually had a decent story and some neat interaction with G4. I think if they had fleshed out his role more and made it his movie, it could've been a neat little G3-X story. Speaking of which, that final fight between G3-X and G4 was one of the highlights of the movie for me. Very cool to see them fight, both physically and ideologically, as well as G4 coming back to life after the guy inside it died. The part where that rotating mirror thing slows to a stop when G4 dies was also beautifully done. The G4 suit itself is a very neat black redeco of G3-X. My only real problem with it is that its head crest is a bit tall, but I can forgive that in light of the giant rocket launcher. Overall, it could've been better with a bit more focus and explanation, but I'm willing to forgive it since its a movie (we all know how those are). G3-X and G4 were the best parts of an otherwise standard AU Kamen Rider movie. But it did give us a chance to see Ryou and the G3 unit again, so it wasn't a total loss. And it has Hiroshi Fujioka (Kamen Rider Ichigou) in it! How cool is that! Quote:

Made it past episode 16 of OOO and the debut of Kamen Rider Birth.
The plot is getting much more interesting as it goes, and I'm constantly getting excited over all the different Medal combinations. I also have to give credit to the show for keeping the tug-of-war between Eiji & Ankh, the falling-apart Greeeds and the increasingly ambiguous Kougami Foundation fun and interesting enough to make you want to know about each's party's motivations and goals as they are slowly revealed. I'm excited to see where the show takes itself. |
Just finished the freshly subbed Yongou. All the feels just came out with this iteration. Faiz is one of my favorite story lines, and they really just dug the knife in with this special.
There are very obvious glaring plot holes with this special, and it seems like a good part of the actor budget went into Taisen GP 3, but I do appreciate that they tried to fan service Rider suits as much as possible. I've also come to the conclusion that I could care less about Shocker. That organization has become the laughing stock Cobra of the Rider world. It also makes me wistful that they return some of that older Rider designs into the suits. Ghost kind of returns some of that glow line effect that Faiz had. |

Stronger Episode 16: Ah I return after a while to Stronger! I missed this show a lot, it's a lot of fun. This was a better plot of Black Satan I have to say. I mean the Kaijin actually got the kids and turned them against Stronger so that's something. Tackle and Tobei were actually more effective than normal this episode which is always a plus and I enjoyed Tobei a lot with helping Hiroshi out with even though they finished last in orienteering that he never gave up so he did deserve one of the prizes. Bubunga the Mosquito Kaijin (I think) was actually one of the best looking monsters I've seen here. The fight was pretty intense because General Shadow kidnapped Tobei and Tackle which made Stronger have to give up and even got impaled by Bubunga but it seriously did nothing, I mean Stronger must have some seriously tough cybernetic parts but I mean he is called Stronger for a reason. Also Stronger was just a badass this episode, I mean during his normal trademark saying he was looking intimidating as he beat down the Robo Men of Black Satan. I looking forward to see what General Shadow and Black Satan have planned for Stronger next with trying to use his fears against him that should be interesting. Also I loved that Shigeru had to connect himself to the kids to cure Bubunga's poison from them and that it was taking a toll on his body, I love it because it shows that he's a really caring person who will sacrifice even his own body to help people out and shows what his real character is. I can't wait for more I am loving Stronger a lot.

Kuuga 31
Another recap. No thanks, Kuuga. |
With episode 24 done, I'm now at the halfway mark of Kamen Rider OOO! I've decided to take a short break from it to check out some other shows. First up, Kamen Rider Ghost. :)
Finished the first three episodes, and it's not bad so far. The cast is pretty likable, and I like Ghost's design. It helps that I was easily drawn to the theme of the series as well. The plot can be a little on the nose (especially episode 3), but it is building up to something and I'm interested in seeing where it goes. |
Stronger Episode 17: Well I missed Titan for like what was that 3 episodes or so but it is very interesting that they revived him. Titan and General Shadow against each other is very fun, as much as General Shadow made the show better both of them competing to defeat Stronger will bring even more fun to the show. The action in this episode was much better than some of the other episodes especially with the mid-air jump kick against the Bat monster and also trying to pull off the Bat Monster's wing, Stronger was just brutal today. Not the best day for Tobei and Yuriko though with both being captured. Though Shigeru did pull off a lot of fun things like transforming on top of a moving car and the motorcycle fight was fun too. I can't wait to see the renewed feud of Stronger vs Titan again along with Stronger vs Shadow too. I can't wait for more this has been getting better and better.

Den-O is apparently coming out weekly from Orangelion now. So much for bulk releases. On the plus side I get to watch it sort of like how it aired. On the minus side, I want to watch it in HD all at once. :x
|
Stronger Episode 18: Titan vs Shadow has definitely made this an even more fun show because their rivalry against Stronger is so much fun. Here's what I enjoyed: Shigeru being defeated was actually pretty nice showing that he isn't always Stronger than every opponent, that he actually had to absorb more electricity to get more powerful than the Electro Ray was really interesting and cool to see. Tackle and Stronger actually having more teamwork this episode was awesome, seeing them fight together was great. General Shadow helping out Stronger because he doesn't want to see Titan succeed I love just because it shows how much Shadow believes in his goal of defeating Stronger and shows how far he'll go to succeed in it. Tobei and Tackle were both pretty effective this episode and not just pushovers so that's always good. I can't wait for more especially with this Rivalry and see if Titan would go so far to see Shadow fail or not.

Alrighty Time to give Kamen Rider Kabuto a try first off episodes one and two
For starters the Opening and the visuals used are fantastic it really tries to grab your attention, The Worm designs are awesome as well though I feel like now I know where a lot of the Invess design came from. Tendou is freaking awesome on first impression and Thank god he didn't let the tofu crumble XD. That brings me to Kagami a strange guy but with the little knowledge I have of Kabuto I know that he helps in the whole Beetle Brothers trope. The Kabuto Zecter and Masked form appear in episode one while Rider form shows up episode two both are awesome int their own ways but Rider Form takes the cake for me. Other than those two ZECT and the technopathic girl are interesting and Zect seems to almost be a secondary antagonist for Tendou. I can't wait to see how that turns out. Overall The show has grabbed my attention and I can't wait to get farther in and see all of the riders whose designs ive seen over and over again |
Watched two episodes of both Den-O and Kiva. :)
Kiva actually took me a bit by surprise. Like Ghost, it has a supernatural theme, which immediate got me on board. It also has a somewhat dark feel to it, which I can really appreciate for a toku show. This might end up being the next show I binge-watch after OOO. Den-O isn't bad at all, either. Time travel-themed plots can be hit or miss for me, but this definitely has some fun and charm to it. |
Stronger Episode 19: Another fun episode, well I can't comment enough about how much I love the General Shadow's rivalries with people because I love him vs Titan in who is better and his physical battles with Stronger are awesome. I still question how Stronger uses electric attacks underwater and it doesn't cause a gigantic explosion or something like that lol Either it's Rider Physics or I don't know everything about physics. This Poison Toad Kaijin was just annoying he didn't really have much besides his poison gas and kept putting hand on Stronger's face lol, I'm glad Stronger kicked it's ass. Shadow got the upper hand on Stronger though, I'd definitely say he won that fight but it takes a lot more than that to defeat Stronger. I loved that Shigeru got Tobei to dress up like him to distract the monster, that was hilarious and a great plan to save Yuriko who unfortunately got captured again. Though Tackle did kick ass at the end. I also loved Stronger's chase scene against Shadow that he randomly had a motorboat lol. This continues to be a fun and awesome series, that Shigeru, Yuriko, Tobei, Titan, and Shadow all make it worth watching and I can't wait for more of the action.
Stronger Episode 20: You know some episodes start off randomly, this was definitely random but also epic. Stronger vs Titan in the middle of the desert was awesome, It was really intense and awesome I love that they both injured each other badly enough that they both had to be repaired. That's honestly good for Stronger not for Titan because last time Titan was more powerful than Stronger and only lost because of water they were in a Desert (good move Titan) and that Stronger was able to hurt him just as much means that Stronger is more powerful than he was before. The two Tachibana angle was funny I wonder why they look similar maybe they are long lost brothers or cousins or just that one random twin everyone has. General Shadow was definitely kicking butt here with knocking Yuriko out in middle of her transformation. He also seems to be getting more loyal to Black Satan with helping out Titan and capturing the Professor. I guess when he says he didn't care what Titan does can be just he knows that Stronger will get past whatever plan Titan sets. The Antlion Kaijin was interesting and had a fun fight with Stronger. The fighting has been amazing here and I love that they changed the scenes for the Stronger Electro Kick by having him just flip twice to make it make more sense. Also the quality of the camera has been looking better in the last few episodes I don't know if it got an upgrade or if I am just seeing things. Also Stronger on a horse was random and awesome lol. Well I can't wait for more. |
Gotten through episode 36, and onto the final leg of OOO. So much has happened in such a short time, and yet this show keeps on delivering. One thing that stood out was the 1000th episode two-parter, which I didn't know happened with this particular series, beforehand. Still, it was a pleasant and hilariously awesome surprise that's actually gotten me a little more interested in Showa-era Kamen Rider. I also didn't expect the Putotyra Combo to become my new favorite so quickly. With all that, it's now time to see how all of this wraps up. :)
|
Stronger Episode 21: Titan vs Shadow continues to heat up this battle to an 11. This episode definitely had more of the characterization of General Shadow that I love, more of the focused on defeating Stronger and not caring about Black Satan. Also Black Satan's Leader and Titan are both ridiculous thinking that Shigeru was defeated that easily 3 times this episode. The Underwater battles with Stronger are always fun and amazing. Stronger fought practically everybody this episode and it was a blast, especially when Tackle actually was beating down on the Shark Kaijin. That surprised the hell out of me because of how much she wasn't effective on them before. However, I love seeing Stronger and Tackle kick ass together they become more and more effective each episode. I loved Shadow saving Shigeru and Yuriko not being impaled by the spikes was a great effort by her too. This was a fantastic episode showing how better a lot of the characters have gotten, their potential, and their true colors because Shigeru was ready to help the kid's mother in a heart beat and felt obligated to save them both and that's some of my favorite parts of Stronger and more reasons why like always I can't wait for more.
|
Kuuga 35
Man the kids in this show suck at acting. That was one savage beatdown, though. That was really something. Damn. |
Stronger Episode 22: I am shocked that they actually have a two-parter here! This must be a serious plan of Titan's. I definitely see this might be the end of Titan again and then we can move forward with General Shadow's plans. Though Titan and Shadow's rivalry has been one of the fun parts of the show. I love how Shadow helps Shigeru out a lot in this show. I also enjoyed Tackle getting frustrated that her power doesn't work on some of the Kaijin because honestly she should be able to do more. This Mechapillar being Electric Resistant should have been one of the first Kaijin they should have used against Stronger. Shigeru was great against Shadow and I enjoy their talks, I can't wait till their confrontation against. I like how they re shot the motions of the Stronger Electro Kick and how he used more of his electric moves this episode. I can't wait to see the next half especially if we get another battle with Titan.
Stronger Episode 23: That was a good 2-parter and a good finale with Titan. I have to say that General Shadow was amazing here, I like villains who follow their own code; because it allowed Shadow to actually help Stronger, Yuriko, and Tachibana in this episode. I'm sure that's going to change after this and I can't wait for that because I ready to see him be the villain without any interruptions. The MechaCaterpillar was stronger than his evolved form; seriously he could killed Stronger in that form or the Cocoon but by evolving he traded his defenses away to be beaten easily. Stronger vs Titan the final fight part 2 was awesome, Stronger pulled out a lot more awesome jump kicks and other moves. I also liked that Shigeru acknowledged that Titan was a worthy foe because he was very deceptive and powerful and was a really good villain. Tobei and Tackle were helpful when they got free and tried to find Shigeru to get captured again but they do take down the RoboMen pretty easily though. Well I can't wait for more especially as we return to Stronger vs Shadow. |
Kuuga 39.
Man, what was that, a five-parter? That was quite a bunch of content. I liked it, though. And at last, the end of Sangou... I really want to see a version with Grongi subs, I'd kinda like to see his whole journey. Or...hear it I guess, I saw it just fine. Just 10 episodes left... |
Finished OOO proper, and currently watching OOO Wonderful.
Yes, Kamen Rider OOO is fun. Really damn fun, from beginning to end. I haven't had this much fun going into a show blind in a good while, let alone with a series that's been this rewarding. It was basically a live-action shonen series done well, with the right amount of character, emotion and plot development. Hell, even the ending really got to me. It's not perfect, few shows are, but it is pretty amazing. :) Wonderful isn't bad so far, though I'm only 20 minutes in. |
Stronger Episode 24: Well I thought General Shadow would become the main General to Defeat Stronger here, well I was wrong. I am intrigued with who the new General is but that will be for next episode. I am intrigued with Shadow becoming his own independent villain without Black Satan because honestly he doesn't need Black Satan, he's been better without them. Stronger and Tackle were both pretty good this episode and kicked butt, the action was really awesome this episode with the moves Stronger was doing, I loved it. Tachibana shined this episode with saving Shigeru and Yuriko and it was interesting with Shadow helping him as well. I am interested in this whole Fortress Island that Black Satan's building with what the heck it actually is. Well I can't wait for more of Stronger's battle with Black Satan and to see where General Shadow goes from here too.
Stronger Episode 25: Ah Dead Lion is an interesting villain, I don't like him as much as Titan and Shadow right now but it was his first episode and he didn't do anything special . However, I do like his rivalry with General Shadow too. I do like the path the writers have chosen for Shadow I think it makes him a better villain and character. I liked seeing Shigeru kick the crap out of the Kaijin in the first fight rather than get beat the first time like he has been the last few episodes. I enjoyed the teamwork of Tobei and Yuriko using Shigeru's plan to help save them all from Dead Lion's clutches. Also all the ass kicking that Shigeru did in that two seconds he freed himself from the chair was awesome. It was great that Stronger got the special Black Satan pendant from Dead Lion, because that's a great thing to take because of it having information on it and that he basically gave Dead Lion a seriously poor first outing against Stronger. I can't wait to see what General Shadow has planned because he himself is better than whatever Black Satan has planned. I can't wait for more with the Black Satan Pendant, The Great Leader being revealed, and whatever General Shadow has planned. Stronger Episode 26: Some big bad general Dead Lion was, his colossal fuck up last episode lead to the destruction of Black Satan this episode. Well The Great Leader of Black Satan was actually a pretty good design and made sense with all the Satan Spiders that were around in the first part of the show and why he controlled all of them. This was a fantastic finale to Black Satan bringing back a lot of the monsters, and having Stronger go through their base and fight them. They weren't joking when they said the pendant held Black Satan's secrets, it was the final key Stronger needed to destroy them. General Shadow was a genius here and him taking over Black Satan's empty base I loved, I can't wait to see Stronger handle the Delza army now. Yuriko and Tobei both did well against the minions and weren't captured so that's a plus for them. I definitely feel that they were planning what they pulled off in Super-1 back here with Stronger because they both defeat their big organizations in the first 20 plus episodes and then fight another one. I know Stronger doesn't go for as long as a normal series so I feel they made up for it in Super-1. Well still I can't wait for more especially now that we get Stronger vs Shadow or at least that Shadow's the leader of the Evil Organization, the spot he obviously should have had for a while now. I'm seriously so excited for this next part coming up, because Stronger gets his power up and I know the past Kamen Riders come back so it should be a lot of fun. |
