My Hibiki came off perfect as well and I got mine last week. Hibiki is my favorite Rider figuart that I bought this year so far. I think that will changed once Christmas is done and over with. Last year Black renewal was my favorite rider figuart.

No thanks to amiami. They wouldn't refund me, price adjust him, and in the end wouldn't even allow me to exchange him without paying for "their trouble" to ship it to them and back to me. I had to just buy a new one. Wound up being cheaper than jumping through their hoops for an exchange.
Ehh I'd disagree. While Black was certainly an improvement over the 1.0 it was far from the best figuart of last year. If anything that honor belonged to Odin or even Blade.

I never own those two, so I can't comment on them. I was really happy when I got Black renewal last year since I felt like everything about him was spot on.

Speaking of Shinkocchou Seihou figuarts like Kabuto and Hibiki, I wonder how many Shinkocchou Seihou figures that Tamashii will make? This year we got two, I guess we will see a similar release pattern next year. I think after Kuuga, we could get SS Kiva similar how we got Hibiki after Kabuto.

Well I still have my fingers crossed for W, but I would assault a SS Kiva. Especially if they did his bike down the line.

What are the chances of seeing the other Hibiki riders? I'd at least want Zanki/Todoroki and Ibuki, just to have a little "team" of musical riders with varied instruments. I mean, Hibiki turned out so great, I can only imagine how they'd turn out.

I've been wondering about them too, or even something like Hibiki Kurenai.

Yeah it's more a straight redeco, but the red is pretty to me so I'm down for something that could be relatively simple to pull off.

I wonder if they will do the other forms of Kuuga, Kabuto and Hibiki for the SS line? I never own the Hyper Kabuto figuart, I have no idea how well he holds up now.

I hope next year we get three SS (SSs???). Kuuga, Agito and Kiva. That would be fantastic. Agito would be easy enough since they'd basically have to rinse-and-repeat what they did for Kuuga with some minor retooling.

Have to agree. I have Zolda and he's great. But I'd have to suggest on the Rider front Tiger & Abyss. They just look sooo good, paint app is wonderful, and the accessories are fun. Or get the Survives of Ryuki & Knight. The accessories are great, and--

I have both and think they were great, but the best is subjective. My favorites are Tyrannoranger/Amored Tyranno/MMPR, Abyss, and the Hurrikenger. And those are of last year only.

Basically, get what floats your boat. Plain & simple. Very few misses in SHFs, unlike Figma.

And by the way, there's some deals to be had on Figuarts on Amazon. I missed the SDCC Samurai set for $81, but picked up the Ninjastorm Yellow/Blue set im missing for $46. Won't cover everything, but saw GoseiKnight for $57, KR Ryugen for $60-$65, and Garren & bike for $64. All Amazon Primed, for those that don't do the asian markets, like me.

That would be nice, it can be like this for SS releases:

2015: Kuuga, Agito, Kiva
2016: Decade, W and OOO
2017: Wizard Flame Style, Momotaros and Faiz (2017 seems random but I couldn't think anything else to put really)

It's unlikely that it would cool by that pattern but I can dream.

Bandai stated the effect parts shown off at the toy show in late Oct/Early Nov are what the next SS SHF will be. the effect parts shown were Green wind effects (W) and lightning effects (Probably non-rider. maybe Inazuman) they did say they wanted to do SS SHFs for more than just rider.

Only you know if it's worth it to you to pay the cost. Especially since none of us have Duke in hand yet to give any real opinion on. We're just judging the same pictures you are.

Well I want to like it because it looks really cool, and capes are nice, but the fact he only has total of seven hands, 4 of which are "holding things" hands, bothers me, I would have really liked some splayed, flat, or partial curled finger hands for more dynamic "I just shot my bow" or "taunting/snarking" or "laughing manically" poses, so I don't know. Hence why I'm asking for others opinions.

Yeah, but you're the one who has to be satisfied. Using someone else's opinion to validate a purchase rarely works out well. Everyone values things differently and what may be a selling point to someone else could be a deal breaker for you. If you buy the figures you like, and are comfortable purchasing, you'll enjoy the hobby a lot more than if you end up with a bunch of stuff you've indifferent to but that others recommended.

He's beautiful but oh my god that..what is that? paper? for his chest design, that's pretty bloody cheap. The AC figure actually pulls it off a lot better I can't believe it especially as this is meant to be the premium line.

As for other figures I have a deadline until the 22nd to pay for duke, ZO and someone else I forget haha. I get paid from work on the 21st so last minute oh my god.

Quesshin: So Hibiki has basically the hips of the MG figurerise models, with the entire hip region below the belt rotating around the center of the groin to allow for more motion without any huge gaps. (the belt covers whatever gaps would appear above the hip) Does Kabuto Renewal also have this? Is this a new Figuarts hip design standard, because holy shit am I down with this hip design, and I hope W uses it, too.

Still haven't put Hibiki down since I got him. (well, except for the three hours I was out last night)

It's like Thessair said, you determine what value it has to you and if it's worth it. I spent over $100 on Kamen Rider Gai and while many would say he's not worth that, he was worth it to me, and that's all that matters.

Personally, $49 sounds like a great deal to me right now, since my pre-order for him is pricier, but again, that's all up to you. Duke was one of my favorite characters and favorite designs in the show, so I'd have no problem dropping $60 or even $70 on him.

I'm looking forward to Duke since I still hate myself for not pre-ordering Zangetsu Shin. This time around, I will get all of the energy riders even my debit card hates me forever for it.

Kabuto just has standard universal hips, not the kind of hips Hibiki has.

I just got SHF Amazon (the normal release) and it's a really good figure. My biggest issue with this figure is that his hips feel super tight. Is just mine or did anyone had this issue? I feel like my right leg might break when if I try to move it. I got him off from Ebay and he has never been open.
