I want Ben Kingsley =p
Anyway, The Doctors Name was a decent episode. It was kind of paced weird though, like a lot happened but nothing happened at the same time. I also wish Jenny stayed dead. Harsh i know and I do really like the scooby gang, but it would have just added more weight to the episode. The twist/Hint at the end was very awesome though. Overall this half season has been very hit and miss for me, it was alright but nothing to get super excited about =) |
It's Doctor Who :lol No one stays dead.

Exactly. I thought they'd really upped the stakes, I sat watching it thinking 'oo this is gonna be good' then they conveniently revived her moments later. Could've at least revived her by the Doctor doing some clever timey wimey stuff, not just Strax with a remote control =p

And I've been thinkng about this episode and what they've established with events in past episodes. And none of it makes sense. It was said that No Man Can Tell a Lie, yet the Doctor seemed quite capable of not saying his name no matter how much TGI asked. The Silence were no where to be found and they were the damn ones trying to stop it from happening the first place. There was no mention about what reason either. They just left so much out. And another thing that's been bothering me is River. According to how the scene was set, this happened in her timeline after The Doctor saved her to the Library. So she's alread 'dead'. Yet that never happened in the episodes yet, and I was looking forward to that since they first teased it in Silence in the Library. I know he hates Goodbye's but come on.

It's not as confusing as it is plot holey. It just sort of leaves you feeling like you've missed something, at least thats how I felt.
Kind of like reading a Grant morrison graphic novel, just requires a few more watches/reads or a later issue/episode to make sense. |
