Does it matter? Kiss Players was exclusive to Japan, and it still forever ruined Hasbro's flagship franchise.

I don't think Kiss Players ruined anything.
Hell, wasn't Kiss Players incredibly popular in Japan?

Yeah, and Beast Wars was a financial success. Still didn't stop Trukk not Munky.

I think they were intended on getting a series of shorts aimed at the 2-6 demographic as they searched for their cutie marks, but I could be wrong. Word of god is a fickle thing...
