So, according to DWM, it seems Steve Thompson will be back writing this series. More of the old mates coming back to write for ol' Moffy-poo, I guess. Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS wasn't awful, but Curse of the Black Spot was a mess. I would dearly love to see some NEW writers working on the show. Although, if the rumors of Gatiss writing a Peladon episode are true, I will be thoroughly pleased.

It isn't a proper Peladon episode unless they bring Alpha Centuri back completely unchanged :p

Keeley Hawes has been cast. She's apparently playing an evil banker named Ms. Delphox.

Evil banker? Sounds a bit too on the nose, but I guess I can deal with that... since its Keeley ;)

Recently downloaded two more of theBig Finish Doctor Who Audio Dramas. I already listened to Light at the End, which I loved! I got The Vengeance of Morbius w/ the 8th Doctor and The Curse of Davros w/ the 6th Doctor this time. Vengeance of Morbius was okay but I didn't realize it was the second part of a two parter. Curse of Davros, however, was awesome! I won't spoil it but it was a really interesting look into how Davros thinks and what drives him. I need to find some more to listen to. Any suggestions?

My absolute favourite Big Finish story (or Doctor Who story as a whole) is the 2-part "Lucie Miller/To the Death" but I'm more hesitant to recommend that as its the end to the the 8th Doctor range's 4 season run, so it kinda relies on having knowledge of/being invested in some characters. I recommend the 8th Doctor run regardless, but I'm not sure how much you want to sink your teeth into :lol |

That is a pretty damn excellent episode. The Master was done very very well here. The build up was delicious.

Filming pics show a new monster. I'll just put up a link to the Mirror article instead of the image as not to spoil for those folks staying pure.

I always laugh when people say x doctor is old and y doctor is young. Just look at their ages.
Matt Smith is indeed young, but not that much younger than Peter Davidson when he started. As for Tennant, well, the man was in his fourties when he was doing it. Seriously. No older than a few other doctors we've seen in the past 50 years. He's just got that baby face :lol. He's only surpassed in age I believe by Bill Hartnel and Peter Capaldi... possibly Eccelston but I think even he's younger. The role of the Doctor is all about the energy. An older actor can easily seem one of the youngest. I don't think it's too unfair to say that Peter Capaldi is somewhat weathered for his age... but then again that's just the way it goes. He does look pretty bloodshot in some of those picture though O_o |

Still, moral of the story is some Doctor actors aren't always as young or old as you think they are. |
My comment was mainly in jest anyway, Matt Smith may have been young but as an actor he was excellent at being a convincing 1400 year old man.

That is all kinds of amazing!

I finally finished season 7 and watched Day of the Doctor, and holy hell was that epic. I'm also amazed that Clara outlasted the end of the season, due to the fact that she died twice already.

Amy I got in a box set, and Ace doesn't need any explanation. I should probably think about getting some more at some point. |
