Bandai of America, Jason David Frank, kiss my ass. This was supposed to be a way to get keys. But you cant have yourself losing, so you have to blame people that werent doing anything bad in the first place, encourage your followers to cheat, and then act like it is all hunky dory. Bullshit. Even if I somehow win the sweepstakes, Id probably tell you where you can send it. Unless this gets turned around and we can get it back to the way it was.
There is no way in hell Trent should be that far down to Mighty Morphin Green. Or Jason to Mighty White. Bull. Shit. |
All I ask is that I get to see my Wolf Ranger in the Final Five, that's all. Please!!! Lol lbs! Please pull through RJ!

I have a feeling if RJ makes it to the next round, there will be a surprising upset.

I don't think that it was anyone here, but there were definitely people unfairly ballot stuffing against Tommy. If you look at the total votes compared to other matchups, the Tommy related ones were up by about 70,000. As a response to this, JDF encouraged to cheat back, which was also bad and reflects poorly on him, but it never balanced out. I'm fine that Bandai corrected this, and will continue to vote for the rangers against Tommy because of the slimmer chance of them receiving keys, but I can't ever blame anyone for voting for their favorite ranger.
Everyone that believes that exclusive ranger keys are the main point of this tournament are WRONG. Its a neat bonus and its the driving influence on my own voting process, but the point is to vote for your FAVORITE, in order to create your DREAM TEAM of Power Rangers. |
I actually wish the Tommy/Trent, Tommy/Andros, Tommy/Jason (Trey) were just set to an even 50/50 so we could continue from there.

Can anyone tell me... why people are calling Bandai America/Morphin Madness sexist? I don't get it... There were like... 10 female Rangers in the competition, and considering there's at the most 2 female rangers per season, that's a decent amount... Right...? Or is there some other reason...?

Please guys, support #ResetRound3 so we can at least have one day full day of fair voting on Sunday and most of tomorrow to make things right. Bandai should at least give us a sporting chance instead of a handicap. |
Well...It's possible.

I think it has more to do with the lack of female keys available at retail than Morphin Madness.

Even worse, reportedly the cookie exploit still works. If they can't lock down the problem, I have little faith that they can accurately determine whether a vote that comes in is legitimate or an abusing second, third, or, fourth vote from the same person. Hence why it would have been better to roll it all back to an even starting point. And beyond all this, it doesn't explain how the Tommy Rangers ended up with MORE votes after the purge than they did before it. |
You're totally right about the cookies and the increased Tommy votes(Though with the Tommy votes...Tommy fans have been voting religiously. There isn't that huge of a difference. Yesterday, Dino Black had like 30-40,000 likes, but 100,000 dislikes. Now his total like are still around 30-40,000 likes when I checked a couple hours earlier, his dislikes had just dropped drastically. Unless things have changed drastically again since a couple hours ago...) I completely agree there. And I wasn't saying that what they did was right either, I was just saying it's possible (though I'm not saying it happened, just saying it's possible) that they figured the exact totals of the "botted" votes.
|
I see how these people are now that I showed my opinions on JDF's page before I unliked the page (Now mind you, I did put it politely and never bad mouthed anyone.) I later get a response by his "true fans" and now I'm called a hater and you know what? I don't care what they say. I'll stand my ground on the decision I made while at the same time try not to add fuel the fire. Hard to believe my view of someone I looked up to can be turned upside down all in one day. :cry

What seems much more likely is a person with the appropriate connections made a complaint and they blindly listened to said person (citing the influx in voting as a "bot" or what have you, ignoring the fact that no, there was just that much attention generated towards this contest) and adjusted things in their favor... |

TLDR: Yes they can catch cheaters. If your not cheating your not hating. Vote your heart or your hate whatever makes you happy. |

Welcome to Tokunation! :D |
I'm laughing at some of those Pro-JDF comments on FB. It's just so hilarious!
|
I am so sick of JDF and his fans.

Honestly this whole thing is freaking pathetic and a really good example of how Bandai, Saban and its fans handle the Power Rangers franchise in general.
When Dinobot won the First Hall of Fame place in Transformers, it was controversial, unexpected, but eventually accepted and now celebrated. When Power Rangers has lesser known characters win a competition, Bandai rigs it in order to ensure that the only winner will ever be the person they want to win with the vague comment that they "located cheaters" and its supposedly acceptable? JDF whines, bribes and cheats and is rewarded with having a competition that he's losing rigged in his favour? The Power Rangers fandom is freaking bizarre. JDF is clearly a douchey and egotistical man-child (and its not even debatable, this proved what a lot of people already suspected) with little to no acting skill and yet he is worshipped like a god, while the 21 Years of Franchise is completely ignored by the people behind the company because they're too busy bending over backwards to kiss his ass along with his fans. Its just stupid. Bandai and Saban clearly gives zero shits about anything either then MMPR, so its difficult to be involved and care in a franchise that actively ignores 95% of its history. I'll still watch the show and continue to comment on it and try to care, but this whole thing is sort of the nail in the coffin of the franchise to me. I'm spitting the dummy JDF style. |

I love that Dinobot got in the Transformers Hall of Fame and that's great they did that, I hear Waspinator and Megatron from Beast Wars also are a part of it too. |
I feel and think like us Nerdlingers (I'm counting myself in this and I mean this in jest) are ruining it for the kids. Maybe some kids really do want an inferior ranger to win, or that non-special red ranger to get their votes, but every PR fan (even guilty of this myself) is rabidly voting for rangers who dont already have keys and such. This MorphinMadness shouldn't have put in the part that winning rangers get keys made. They should've just given out he coupons, and handed out the sweepstakes prize and keep it simple. The minute I found out winning rangers will get keys I was like: "Ah, geez. Us Nerdlingers are gonna decide this now, not kids." I'm not sure what's going on with the vote hacking, I sorta just got here, but it sounds sad.
|
But how are we ruining it for the kids if we vote for mostly newer rangers? Most kids that DO vote there are basically those who've seen Neo-Saban and the late Disney stuff. So I don't really think those kids would prefer, say MMPR Green over Dino Thunder White. The whole Tommy situation might make it worse for kids now. I do see why those kids might prefer SMF Red over RPM Gold, but why MMPR Red over Jungle Fury Rhino? The "red magic" might exist, but seriously, why should kids vote for rangers they barely know?
The whole Tommy merchandise thing is also adressed to older fans. Most kids these days probably don't even know who Tommy Oliver was- except those who've seen Dino Thunder, but those are all in their early teens now and most of them probably could care less about power rangers. |
Not so much in the choices given, more so in just how much more control over the voting system we have as opposed to kids. We've got rallies, hashtags, bots cheatin' for some, JDF being JDF and kids have.... What's primarily, like you've said, fairly recent on tv. I've seen some posts here and there where people are urging others to vote against Troy in favor of a ranger kids most likely don't know and I just wonder if possibly maybe two contests should exist or something. One for older fans and one for children. I'm also confused why some people are really worked up about something like this when they've sworn off BOA. It's all good, just gotta go with the flow. Maybe some kids do want a key pack filled with already released ranger keys if it's of their favorites. Yes, it's a dumb idea, but kids want really dumb things at times. They don't know any better and do not put such importance on it.

at least titanium and phantom will be in the finals, unfortunately not Udonna and Rhino. they should have just gone to 50% for all to make things truly fair, which has been said by a few others.

I'm totally with you on the not voting for a character not being the same as hating. People throw out the word haters like candy these days, labeling anyone who doesn't agree with them as that. Also, welcome to the site! :D |

Yeah, his fans are becoming bullies already.

Well guys, it looks like not all is lost yet.
Upon voting today, I noticed that while it is a small amount, Jason and Trent are starting to go on the rise in voting percentage. Now, we have until midnight (pacific time) to vote for them, and while Andros still hasn't moved from his 37% spot, he and the other two still might have a chance. It only took us one day to fix it last time, and I believe we can do it again. |
