Ah yeah get hyped, we are close to seeing Kiriko in the actual suit and then be extremely disappointed in the fact this is her only outing in the suit and then varying more or less disappointed when we find out the reason she can't use that suit.

I found that myself which I had updated before I saw your post, sorry about that but yeah she can't even properly use the drive suit.

My guess is that somehow Shinnosuke and Gou are partially androids or something and they are not aware of it and that is how they can use their rider gear.

I think that gou and shinnosuke have some sort of compatibility with the drivers for some reason.

I was so happy when I saw the first posting of her Henshin. Because I thought we just might have another female Rider. Then that hope and happiness got shattered just like her suit. :cry

If I had to assume, something to do with her state of mind. Perhaps a lack of belief in herself.

At this point there had better be a more thorough explanation. It takes Shinnosuke like 1 episode to overcome his emotional barriers.

True. Would it kill them to give the fans what they want every once in a while?

If it serves the story it would be fine. If they scrap the series plan to reward the overly vocal "squeaky wheel" section of the fandom, then that could result in a mismatched series like Hibiki.

(Yes, I know the Hibiki problems are not because of fan catering. It's an example of what some consider a broken series.)

Add the fact that "what the fans want" has to be put in perspective. I dont know how the japanese fandom acts in that regard but the western fandom isnt going to get anything from toei. We are not the target audience. The japanese are.

And what I got from most interviews with toku actors Toei really doesnt expect anyone outside of japan to watch these shows.

Wow, Toei couldn't be more wrong. Also, you mean to tell me that fans over in Japan don't want to see more female heroes? If not then they are a bit behind. In my opinion that is.

That's what it says to me lol. Although another thing too is....does this mean that Shinnosuke has to pretty much remain weak in order to use Drive? Unless it becomes a plot point later on that Shinnosuke has become too strong to use Drive effectively and that's how he gets his Final Form.

Actually, I'm looking at it another way. We know that the Drive and Mach Systems depend on their user's emotional state. I think the reason Shinnosuke was able to become Drive was because he was depressed after the whole "injuring Hayase" thing. That meant his emotional levels were at zero.

Chase rarely shows any emotion, and never seemed to back when he was Proto-Drive. I think that at first, the user of the Drive System needs to be at an emotional zero to get the power to stick to them, and that Kiriko couldn't do that because while she seems externally cold, she's quite a passionate person and couldn't quite dial it down enough.

Everything all of you are saying is making a whole lot of sense. Why aren't people like us writing these shows?...

It could probably end up well but then we might miss do well from the writing perspective either, so we would probably be best editing the scripts so that things stay more consistent.
