Yeah, Puzzle Fighter looks better than in the preview

So M becomes its own thing and Emu is the only one to stop him. That would be nice actually. For now the most likely scenario is Parad pulling a Gremlin on the narrative but I think that would be awesome. Titular rider vs himself.


And Para-DX lvl 99 looks dope.

I'm digging the M as Chronos idea. So M and Emu separate and the HUMAN aspect becomes the new villain because he's such a HG (Hardcore Gamer). And the BUGSTER aspect becomes/remains the hero. This is an excellent idea. And it would an excellent twist.

I like the idea of Emu feeling so helpless and broken after losing so many people to this TATAKAE that HE becomes Chronos, hoping to use the time powers it provides so that he can save everyone, and M is actually the one who needs to step up as the true hero, grow as a person from the things he's learned from Emu in the past, and save his other half from going too far.

So maybe this is just me but I've actually been assuming for a while now that whatever form of the Bugster virus is in Emu isn't literally either half of his personality so much as it just brings out those aspects of him depending on whether he's transformed or not. Nothing about the way they talk about his condition in the show has actively shot down that idea so far (if anything it's leaning towards it) and the longer the show goes on the less and less likely it looks for it to have such a major change in the protagonist's whole concept late in the game.

And if they did I still maintain that saying any part of Emu isn't Emu would essentially be throwing his character in the trash just for the sake of a shock value twist. Which also kind of sounds like something this show would do, but I like to think its writing has grown past that.

Maybe Chronos is some sort of Odin deal? A super powerful lackey Parad sicks on people he wants beat up rather than an actual character? Possibly made from data about Ex-Aid (and/or Genm), hence the outfit and pose? Or something?

I just hope it's pretty much anything other than M. That's an idea I've never been behind and the show would have to do something REALLY interesting with the execution to convince me otherwise.

Ok so I don't know if my memory is playing some crazy mind games on me or something, but I think they changed Graphite's picture on the cast page today? I'm pretty sure I don't remember it being this one, but I may just be imagining things. Not sure if that's anything anyone else pays attention to but. Whatever. edit: no, wait, yes. Now I'm certain of it. I'm 100 percent sure the old picture was this one. So there actually would be reason to replace it, since he's not wearing his real clothes.

Anyway, if I'm not crazy, the fact that they changed it could...mean something? Like, I don't see why they'd bother updating a picture if Graphite wasn't going to be sticking around for at least a little while. I...don't know why they would anyway since he doesn't look different, but *shrugs.*

Emu and M could still be separate beings without taking away from Emu's character because for all we know the Bugster inside, he could just be taking on some of his personality traits and exaggerating them since it might not of had a personality of its own. We know the Bugsters get the personalities and powers from game characters that they are based on but M wasn't based on a complete game so it could stand to reason that M might need to fill in the blanks with Emu's personality traits so to make itself a "whole". Granted a lot of this is fanwankery based on conjecture so who knows. I just wanted to point out that there is a way for Emu and M to be separate beings without taking away from Emu's character though I do understand your worries.

Can I just say I adore Parad-DX LV 99's puzzle design on that undersuit, that rings all the right bells with me.

That being said considering how basic these Civilian Rider Suits are, and how in one of the preview images we see one wielding the Gashacon Sparrow...

...Something tells me that a lot of the old Level Up Gashats are going to get stolen from time to time to be used as armor enhancements for the civilian riders. If only to make their fights possibly more interesting in that regard.

Also Ride Players! I've been a little disappointed that they straight up reused the Riotrooper color scheme (and a recolored axel ray gun...again), though it's been pointed out to me that they resemble goombas, which is really fitting and makes me like it a little more.

So according to the scans, Kamen Rider Poppy is Level X, and the next spin-off is the Hyper Battle DVD - Kamen Rider Lazer! It features Proto-Bakuso Bike and Proto-Shakariki Sports, as well as the debut of Kamen Rider Genm (Proto) Sports (Proto) Action Gamer Level 3. It appears to be set when Genm and Lazer are still alive
They appear to be distributing the two Gashats the same way they distributed Ikkyu and Pythagoras for Ghost.

Para DX looks great.

According to the Kamen Rider News Facebook page, it's not the original Proto Bakusou Bike, but a new "Combi Fukatsu Version", which will give a new form to...Ex-Aid. Not cool Ex-Aid, the other riders all got new forms in their specials. Shameful. Does explain why the label is in color and appears to have Mighty on it, though it begs the question of why not make it an entirely new gashat. Unless the form ends up being cool I'm honestly more intrigued about the Virus Ex-Aid.

Anyway, nothing too new in the scans, though there are some interesting tidbits. Namely, the Ride Players seem to have a gashat for transformation, possibly a brown/silver version of Kamen Rider Chronicle? It's hard to tell. Also, the Buggle Driver 2 can be used as a weapon during transformation, unlike the original, and yeah, the Maximum Gamer and Ex-Aid can split up to fight.

So... Nico wins the Kamen Rider Chronicle game, and her prize is the right to use its Gashat and become Kamen Rider Chronos? Is that what this will probably lead into?

I think the leaked catalogue used male pronouns for Chronos when mentioning the ability to control time

Japanese doesn't even do gendered pronouns.

Though he was drawn with a male frame so it's the safe assumption.

I cannot wait for Kamen Rider Nico to be a thing. However now I'm a bit worried for her fate. Because well... generic rider design despite all the little details that are cool.

Not to mention Taiga's whole, "I have nothing to lose" not knowing he technically does with Nico. Things are going to get tragic aren't they?

Also kind of had a theory, that if a Ride Player gets enough points they get the chance to become Kamen Rider Chronos, basically an upgrade for doing well. But at that point their stripped of their free will and become bosses of Kamen Rider Chronicle to challenge players. Kind of like how Odin was using hosts in Ryuki.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the virus mooks' costume change gimmick? You can see the Tokimeki Crisis ones wearing maid outfits in that new scan.

Somebody mentioned in the other thread that the little stumpy gashat-lets are called Gashatrophies, and they power up Ride Players who defeat the corresponding bugster. Apparently Nico earns a few right off the bat, which might explain why her Ride Player is more customized? Either way, glad she actually got to be one like people were speculating.

So Nico is in the new opening. Pretty prominently too, she's in the sequence of the Riders holding their Gashats now that both Kiriya and Kuroto are gone, and she's also in the circle where all the Riders transform.

So she...may actually turn out to have actual plot relevance? Is she...

continuing from that, the Gashat possessed her before generating its own body, and Nico would then continue fighting... as "a new beginning" of... SNIPE"

Someone said that Nico was in the Henshin Circle in the OP. Uhm....no. It's Poppy. And I find it cool to see her there.

Ah! Fucking Parad and the lights messed up me seeing her.

It should be noted that there, she turns into a Ride Player, and earlier, in the same way Genm was on one of those screens while Dan was standing by it, Chronos is on one of them, with Graphite and Parad, and shares graphite's colour scheme...
Poppy also has blue eyes in the op, so she's definitely turning good.

notable differences:
- In the scene where Poppy and Asuna show up, their locations are swapped, now Asuna is inside the TV while Poppy is outside
- Emu phasing out is replaced with a grinning red-eyed M indicating that M is fully a thing while it was still an enigma prior
- Hiiro and Taiga's past are shown on the TV when they appear
- Kiriya's spot is scratched out, Nico takes Kuroto's spot
- Rider circle now consists of Ex-Aid, Brave, Snipe, Poppy, Rideplayer Nico, Para-DX
Genm lv 2 is replaced with Para-DX lv 99

I do love the fact that Hiiro and Taiga's Zero Day stuff is in the opening now, really puts some oomph into their presence.

Also technically not really with Nico taking Kuroto's spot, there's still a scratched out portion with purple instead of yellow after Nico.
