I genuinely enjoyed the series, despite some flaws. I know a lot of people will go on from now and say that the series is rushed to hell and back after episode 35, but that's not the fault of the writing or even the series itself. That's just the result of the pandemic and the problems it inflicted upon the show.

There's no way when they were writing and overly long workplace competition arc that there would be a global pandemic that robbed them of several episodes. Things got rushed, and that's what people will focus on. They'll say things like Gai's heel-face turn or the entire resurrection of the Ark are rushed. And they are. But that's not the fault of Zero-One being "poorly written" or "boring" as a certain tokutuber would say. That's just the fault of the world we live in right now. So overall? I've really enjoyed Zero-One up to now, and will continue to enjoy it.

If it weren't for the pandemic, we would never know the full extent of the show. I reckon during the Hiden Manufacturing part of the show, we'd probably see hints of Gai's good parts in him instead of being a late part of the show.
Zero One just seems to be un unfortunate casualty.

I don't think it's purely down to the pandemic. Rushed writing, inconsistent characterisation and strange developments have also been very present in the back halves/thirds of Ex-Aid, Build and Zi-O -- this is just a thing that happens with Rider these days and I imagine it's down to executive meddling. Heck, even before the pandemic hit we got confirmation that Zero-One was changed in its back half to have more emphasis on the Humagears; so I hardly think in a world without Covid it'd be without most these problems.

That maybe so, but I'm more than willing to forgive a shows late game shortcomings on how strong most of the show has been, like Build. It's a fact that a shows end time is usually a bit on the short end when the studio's more focused on the new show.

I generally agree -- I like all three of those shows, after all. Hell, Build's my second favourite! I'm just saying that I don't think it's likely that "it wouldn't have had any of these problems if Covid didn't happen" is very accurate.

And to be honest, despite the pandemic, Zero-One is still handling itself pretty well all things considered. That's a win in my book.

Enjoyed Zero One as well and it's probably in my top 5, but you can't deny it's very weak on the plot side. And that's not a covid problem.

Before it started there was kind of mystery about daybreak and MJ in the past etc. But they cleared that right away in the first arc and then it was a bunch of... nothing. Thouser company battle dragged too long and the attached subplots along the way too (Yaiba dogu), and then MJ VS protags back and forth, no real plot development or plot twist or anything. It's a bit weak by 2020 standards.

Overall loved it. Suits, atmosphere etc... but when you come close to Build in terms of plot and plot twists the comparison hurts.

It's hard to say where I'd rate Zero-One. I thought the first arc was great, but then I felt it started going downhill, especially with the competition arc. To me it never got as good as that first arc again. I'd probably give it a 7/10.

Is Aruto gonna be killed and brought back in the movie?

Ay. So Vulcan get another reprint and shade of blue upgrade downgrade. Perhaps one off like cross form. We're getting another "driver for horobi? Seems like the new international zaia CEO , evil haruto, and forms might be planned for the movie , but we mixed in to the show. It's like arc defeat was original tv ending and now this extended epic is like what would happen in an alternate summer movie future.

Okay, it's official. The real collectible items of Zero-One were NEVER the progrise keys. It was the belts. :lolol

i saw a pic of Fuwa's actor getting flowers...so Fuwa death in ep 44? .__.

It might've just been his last scene he needed to film and not the last scene he's in.

Because Fuwa's actor mentioned that the pic's weren't uploaded around the same time as everyone else's flower pics because his manager forgot to take some. So they had to wait for the official copies but he ended up being done filming a while back, and you know how they like to film scenes out of order.

9 belts total. Arc0 arc1 still count as one. 02 and horobi new driver still use 01 as base with new face plate.

Flowers don't mean death. They mean that all the actors scenes have been filmed and are done.

Flowers =/= Death, besides his actor seems to be the last one to get his flowers.

Fuwa was the real Zero-One all along, he's the maincharacter now.

It's sucks fuwa, yaiba, gai, and even jin didnt amount to much . Especially , zaia slash driver upgrade resurrection arc. Not to mention naki. They'didnt balance the riders well. At one point there's 9 riders running around. 5 from metsubojinrai . Yaiba aruto jin and gai.

that's the real shame of this season IMO.

Suits were great, visuals and some ideas were great. But the writing/plot side was awful.
Which surprises me in the end because I'm rewatching Ex-Aid these days and I'm surprised how much backstories and the actual main plot of the show are all intertwined with each other (almost feeling that it's too much) and you always have something to follow.

But here, most characters don't really have backstories or some twist potential to carry the show or develop stories. Aruto just had a humagear dad, fuwa memory was erased and when he got it back don't want to bother his family, Yaiba has nothing, Gai had a bit of backstory just recently but not much and all the others are humagear with little backstory by definition.

The whole script could have been :
Zero-one discovers his powers VS MJ
fights
Thouser clan vs Zero-one clan
fights
everyone comes together VS MJ+ARK
fights
the end


And it hurts next to the recent series.

Still loving zero-one a lot for different reasons, but it was hard to like the characters and to see them basically doing nothing for the whole year.

I think Zero-One series basically are Drive Version 2.0. but with weaker story and weaker character developments. Drive definitely better than Zero-One in my opinion.

The most boring part from Zero-One series is Hiden vs Zaia arc. Seriously, this arc is super boring....

HOWEVER, I wouldn't be surprised if the actual thing ended up like that.

I think Coronavirus affected a lot of what happened with Zero-One. I believe they were set back at least 4-5 episodes.

I still think they probably handled it as best as they could, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were certain things that were supposed to be fleshed out or expanded upon.

I can definitely imagine we were meant to get a little more Ikazuchi and Naki, given they've just kinda disappeared while Horobi does his thing. I love how the pair of them just show up together midway through the latest episode to rat him out to Jin, only to then disappear again. I'd watch the Ikazuchi/Naki V-cinema.

EP 44 - After learning that Aruto has become the Ark from Horobi, the humagears stage a demonstration(protest maybe?). Gai and Yaiba move into action to prevent the battle between Aruto and Horob, which will inevitably lead into an all-out war between humanity and humagears. Meanwhile Fuwa transforms to confront Aruto...

EP 45 - Aruto and Horobi finally collide! Meanwhile, Gai tries to revive a certain humagear (Jin?) to stop Horobi. However, the battle between Horobi and Aruto ends with an unexpected development. With his belief in Horobi, Aruto creates a miracle the surpasses the expectations of the Ark (Azu?).

Some synopsis for this week and next weeks' episode. Kinda of leads me to believe Jin will be revived (again), and neither Aruto or Horobi die.

Looks like Fuwa is gonna get himself a Thouser-based belt. With Zero-Two touches for a Progrisekey and Naki's Zetsumerisekey.

Saw something interesting pointed out on the Rider wiki. Ark-Scorpion, aside from the head, is actually a repaint of Ichi-Gata. I didn't recognize the body upon first seeing it, but looking at pictures of the two it's totally true

So it's just occurred to me that Jin somewhat has a Phoenix motif going on. I know he's "officially" supposed to be a Falcon, but the flaming bird imagery combined with him (potentially) having multiple deaths and revivals throughout the series really makes it seem like that's what they were going for.

The Burning Falcon key in the Zero-One Driver even says "Revive like phoenix!"

Something fun I always found about that is that around the time Burning Falcon debuted and the PB Slashriser pre-orders went up... they officially announced and put up pre-orders for Seihou OOO Tajador

considering the situation yeah V-Cinemas for Zero-one seem unlikely. But maybe something like a very short series like Rider time Ryuki and shinobi or something can happen.

Make it centered around Yaiba and Fuwa. And Yaiba gets a jackal upgrade while fuwa gets a cerberos upgrade based on wolf + japanese wolf + said jackal somehow and i'll forgive the Yaiba treatment for the main series.

Just spotted that while watching the sub, totally missed it live! Quite a shame imo, ark scorp's a very nice suit but I was really holding onto my pipe dream of an ichi-gata comeback (ideally with Izu as the user)...
Ichi-Gata's just such a fantastic design and that suit teaming up with zero-two would make my day

not new to me, but you mentioning this made me think about the mystery suit from the preview
