I think I will pre-order it even if it looks like a repaint. I don't want to regret not pre-ordering it as the Iron Man Figuarts don't seem to drop in price.

Looking at the releases again, I might pick up vader because he comes with a kick ass background.

I don't care if it's a repaint. I still want it. Because they're doing more Age of Ultron stuff. And I'd like them to match.

in "Iron Man cannon", are 42 and 43 "supposed" to be repaints?
Sorry I don't follow Marvel and Iron man nearly enough to be able to spot minor differences in each "mark"

Also, I am sort of shocked/disappointed/angry we aren't getting some sort of "Hall of Armor" back ground pieces that can connect up

Well the figure itself is a straight up repaint, I don't think anyone has seen the actual AOU suit yet, but usually there's always a really nice physical difference between marks, even subtle changes like the triangle chest piece and what not, so it's a bit lame that it's just an inverted repaint.

Probably a cost thing...but then it is rather odd when Vader is getting a whole set with his figure.

It does indeed look like the 42 with flipped colors so the SHF is accurate

I guess since its a licensed Marvel product i shouldn't be surprised Bandai got the specs

I think there are quite a few straight up repaints from the movie. They might have different capabilities, but a lot of them are identical. Mk2 and Mk3, MKVII and Midas, War Machine 2.0/Iron Partior (this doesn't really count I guess), MK22 and WM2.0m, Red Snapp and Peacemaker (minus the claws). I'm just going off what hot toys ha released, so there might be more.

Likely the 43 is more or less a refinement of the 42, seeing as that thing was loaded with issues (remember Tony was more or less just throwing together one armor after the other at the time), and he sort of... blew it up to try and kill the Mandarin.

The Mark 42 was only a prototype and wasn't combat ready yet so hopefully it'll be more refined.

But back on topic, has there been any new Sentai announcements after Sun Vulcan? I also hope we hear about the Gaim Figuarts shown a couple months ago, could use a Lord Baron.

I'm still here waiting for more Kuuga preorders to come up, it's been months and nahzing, hopefully I can pick one up easily later.

I'm surprised that abaranger hasn't got a figuart yet, thought one would pop up due to the whole dino anniversary last year.

Sentai figuarts are sadly taking a back seat now that we dont have Akibaranger anymore to promote the releases.

Bandai decided it isn't worth doing Sentai Figuarts anymore since they can't figure out how to market them.

I would so very much love to see that happen. I think I love Sentai Figuarts more than the series than spawned them sometimes.

Just to set the record straight, other than the scene in Akibaranger (where the extra members were custom jobs when you look at them up close), the remaining Jetman have actually never been shown at a Tamashii event.

Yeah, and unfortunately, Bandai has killed my enthusiasm to collect every ranger. At this point, I am only going to buy rangers from the series that are in my top 12, and even then, I might still cut a few out. I'll definitely buy anything they release from Dai and Kaku without a second thought, but the rest will depend on how and when they are released.

Yeah , I have second that notion About Bandai killing my enthusiasm also. Having been in this game for almost 4 years. It's sad seeing figures you were really looking forward to , never materialize. From a business standpoint , I understand why the focus on ranger / sentai stuff has died down. But it's still a huge bummer as a fan. Now they got my hopes up with the metalder and spielban prototypes. But ive been burned before.

I guess pre-orders for Metal Heros must be doing better then pre-orders for Super Sentai. Whatever sells well then Tamashii Nations will keep on making them. I hope to see info on Gavan renewal soon. The last Gavan figure came out two or three years ago, so it could be time for a upgrade since the original figure had bad QC issues.

I wonder what SDCC SHF Toku exclusives that they will do this time? I hope a metallic paintset of Super Megaforce or Dino Charge similar what they did with Samurai a while back. It's most likely that they will do Shieldless MMPR Green Ranger since it's MMPR after all.

After how Bluefin sort of just said without actually saying they aren't doing sentai imports/power rangers anymore? My guess is nothing this year :(

I was hopeful for an MMPR Metallic Armor 6-pack because it would be so easy to produce. But I highly doubt we'll be seeing it now. They seem to have all but forgotten Power Rangers fans once they made a quick dime on them. But they currently don't have the rights to release Gokaiger or Kyoryuger figuarts anyway, nor is their any indication they plan to release them ever. They don't even list Power Rangers as a property they carry any longer in all their most recent official listings.

If they do anything, Shieldless Green would be it sadly. I want one but I just don't know that they'd think they could sell it. It should have been a 2-pack with Armored Black. Oh well I made my own anyway.

What was it, this summer? It doesn't mean that you'll never see a Sentai SHF with a Bluefin sticker on it - we've still been getting the Showa guys coming at retail in Japan - but the Power Rangers focus and unique packaging and all that added effort is basically over now.

Yeah it was this past year, basically they refused to comment on things to us at SDCC. Then at NYCC our guy doing coverage had a lengthy interview (which we posted in this thread) where they stated they're essentially done with Tokusatsu figuarts. It's why they haven't pursued licenses for new riders or sentai.
