Kiva actually had a good premise and after the early leaks showed up it was highly anticipated as a nice change of pace from Den-O. With so much going into it like the horror themes, suit designs, music and even the split timeline setup, it is pretty much agreed that the end product had so much wasted potential and could have been epic in the hands of a better writer.

That said...SEED is one of those rare series where if you're gonna watch it watch the english Dub. Kira's Japanese VA makes him sound too much like a wimp,,which he is but still.
