It's gonna be fun when he and Ash finally have their confrontation at the end of the Z storyline.

I'd like to know, if he ever gets one, what Ash's Mega Pokémon will be (Obviously not counting the Ash-Greninja fusion).

Personally, I think it would be appropriate, if and when he faces Alain, that Ash's Mega Pokémon be Mega Charizard Y to go up against Alain's Mega Charizard X.

Does anyone have a yellow Shiny Florges? It's the only one I need so I can have all 5 color variations.

I also need Shiny blue, white, yellow and orange versions of the first 2 stages (Flabébé and Floette), but those can wait...

I can hack one. It's not technically a real Pokemon though.

At this point, I'll take it, considering I've failed miserably to get it either through trading or GTS. (I'll ask about the Shiny Flabébés and Floettes another time)

If the new game doesn't have Gym Leader Rematches I will be disappointed.

We haven't had actual Gym Leader rematches since HGSS and they were a pain in the butt to do too.

I know that I sound like a broken record at this point but:

Battle Frontier. We haven't had one since freakin HG/SS, and if this is really Pokemon Z (I mean it's not really a question at this point anymore is it?) they should include a brand new Battle Frontier.

It kind of is since they revealed a Blue Zygarde Core in Corocoro. There could still be 2 games like B2W2 did along with more Zygarde Formes we haven't seen yet.

Well yeah but this could all happen in one game, and it's very telling that the anime names itself with the addition of a green Z now.

I guess what we can agree on is that it will definetly be another game set in Kalos.

I want to be excited, but I really can't. Revisiting the OG games just made me appreciate how far the series had advanced, and I honestly didn't have the same sense of wonderment like I did when I replayed the original G/S/C...

Yeah, you might as well open up FR/LG to get a better experience. The only way I'd be hyped for this is if they fixed all the glitches and they could essentially let us migrate Pokemon from this game over to the Gen 6 ones.

I'm definitely interested. Blue was my introduction to Pokémon so I definitely want it and I never got Yellow so that too.

Pokemon's first generation was really kinda shit.

Ok classic Pokemon coming out is more so cause fans wanted them people asked for them since.virtual console for 3DS with classic GB titles so I am hyped for.them cause they where the game me and my sister used to play when n they came out she had blue and I had red and yellow so I can not wait.

I can't see that happening.
Mainly because there are some attacks as TMs only in Gen 1, like Skull Bash (I know it's not exactly a good move, it's just the first one that came to mind).
So they'd have to release a new patch for XYORAS just to make sure Pokemon with said attacks won't be seen as hacked for having what would be an illegal move in Gen 6.

Oh come on... once the first Gameboy emulators landed on Smarthpones everyone and their mother played Pokémon on it. Hell, some people even modified their calculators for this.

So excuse me for not getting excited over the digital release of nearly 20 year old games which are not only already on most people’s Smartphones, but also completely outdated.

Not saying that I support the usage of ROM’s or emulators, but I saw too many people play the original Pokémon on their Smarthphones to know that Nintendo can’t possibly think this is a big announcement to make.

Okay here's a question I've been wanting to ask pokemon fans for a while because we recently just got too little new Pokemon in generation 6. As of generation sevens concerned how many new Pokemon should be added to balance out the metagame? For me it's enough to get the tally all the way up to 851 what's your personal opinion?

No they didn't... That's an overstatement.

Kiwami's hyperbole aside, I can kinda see what he's getting at. An announcement of Pokemon on VC is pretty cool, but it's only really going to appeal to a certain demographic. There is a fair percentage of people who probably have Pokemon ROMS on their smartphone, but its mostly that sect of people stuck in 90s nostalgia who swear blindly that gen 1 is the best and have never played any other game in the series.

I don't think it was ever intended as some HUGE announcement, just a neat little thing they're doing for the anniversary. People just blew it way out of proportion beforehand because Masada tweeted about it.

One hundred or so is a fine number. After Kalos failing at introducing a new 151, I think it's just too many for any game to introduce without experiencing annoying overlap and burning out creativity.

They couldn't be bothered to patch X and Y to use the ORAS stuff.
