Well Mattel has the rights to DC so there seems to be an agreement between the two. Star Wars and Marvel is owned by Hasbro. Seems like they dont want another company to compete with them.

I get that they licenses are owned by different companies so different agreements can be made...

Not the first time! Hasbro is the reason LEGO cannot sell Star Wars minifigures as magnets anymore for people to collect them individually. LEGO now has to glue the figures to the magnets or they might get accused of infringing on the action figure license.

I have to agree...figma Captain America is roughly the same price. It seems like American licenses are rather expensive for Japanese companies to get.

They're $60. That is expensive. You could buy the huge Play Arts Kai ones for that price. They're just as ugly. I'll definitely be passing on them.

They are a bit more than Kamen Rider figuarts, but I think you're exaggerating a little. Retail price on PAKs are $80-$100 now (on BBTS anyway).

Also, AmiAmi has SHF Bats and Joker up for preorder right now, for $49 each, and I pre-ordered the hell out of Batman. I'm sort of rethinking Joker. I'm not sure how crazy I am about the design, plus money, plus I can always add him later.

As was mentioned above, the Figma Avengers are easily $80 and up. Plus Figuarts is expanding it's lines. Those licenses aren't cheap.
