It seems that they tried to produce a clear version (there is two photos), but the result didn't fit with their expectation. So if I undersood correctly there will be no clear version of kyurenoh at least.
The next set announced on the back of the package is still the set 4 for july...

This set seems cool, even if I don't like the tiny pilot in the kyutama... I think I will do it like the current set and invert to have the animal in the front when displaying as a robot ^^;

I must say that I agree with them. The clear version of zyohking was better than that (it is only my opinion). When I did see the photos without really reading the text, I thought that it was not as beautiful than last year and that I would have enough with my normal and metallic version of the set...

It looks really good! I see you decided not to panel line it though. Haha. Good choice because at some point it just becomes too tedious.

I have to say though, the RyuTei KyurenOh combo is growing on me but it's unfortunate that it doesn't use all the mechs.

I see that the American MMPR one has "all 5 zords come together in one package and will feature new US box art."

But is the Japanese July pre-order "Shinka Gattai Daizyuzin Exclusive" one any different from what has just been released in Japan?

Hmm, I don't know what it will be but I'm very tempted to just pre-order the 6-pack anyway. Haha.

It is quite odd that they skipped to set 05 with only a 12 pack though.


I think those two are the exact same with the only difference being the packaging.

US version also seems to be cheaper than the Japanese one they have listed.

If that's the case, I might be more inclined to buy the US version at some point.

I have ordered it. I fear that it will be a recolor version of kyuren oh like set 6 last year, but perhaps they will try something else. As they release complete set this year and that give a price that is not to high, why bother to wait ?
It feel very strange that they didn't already open pre order for set 4 that will be available next month...(this is what I was expecting !)
I hope that they will also sell a complete pack for set 05...

I can? Hooray! Here's my Kyurenoh. Got carried away with the dark wash, but I'm happy with it. The inside of the Kyutamas are hard to see, but I wanted the more opaque effect like the show suits.

Happy to see the series 04 news, the kit looks great. Will need to keep an eye out for preorders now.

I started putting together a couple of the Voyagers from the "Glister Injection" KyurenOh set.

I'd been contemplating trying to add a little paint to the figure in the Kyutama, but given I don't have skill in that regard, I almost abandoned it... until it occurred to me to use an Exacto knife to cut the part of the cockpit sticker with the actual Kyuranger out, then lay it over the molded detail.

I've only fully assembled the Kyutama for KajikiYellow, and I kind of like it. It doesn't look great from the side, of course, but it's hard to see the side given how the Kyutama is shaped. I also tried this with SasoriOrange, but given the darker shade of plastic, I'm not entirely sure it's preferable to omitting the sticker.

Have any of the rest of you experimented with this? If so, what did you think?

For those of you interested, one of the next Super Minipla appears to be the Zambo Ace.

And pre-ordered! Still curious what set 05 and 06 are though. Haha.

I'm guessing one of them is Cerberus. Not sure about the other though.

Set 05 will be cerberus as it will be available on the same month that the movie ( it may be available at the same time the film is release, at start of august)
Set06 is a big mystery for now... Something like gigant phoenix that will create an even bigger robot with all previous set (that would made one of the biggest joint sentai robot no ?)? A robot on its own ? or some recolor like last year (I hope that it will not be that ^^;)?

Yeah, that's what I had guessed too. I've got set 05 pack of 6 pre-ordered at HLJ for now as I wait for it to be revealed.

I'm wondering if Set 06 will just be another special set? It's only available in a pack of 12 so maybe it combines previous sets somehow.

It is set 05 that has only a 12 pack on ami ami for now. It seems strange to me that they won't try to sell a 6 pack like all other release for this. Either they are a bit afraid of bad sales of the summer robot and will only propose the 12 pack, either it is a little "mistake" and we should see a preorder for a 6 pack coming this month as the release date is drawing nearer.
It is a bit strange to have preorder for set 05 and 06 so soon when we had to wait the last moment for set 04.

Tried to assemble and paint up this vintage Sun Vulcan Robo model but no fixed points and the need for plastic glue made assembly quite tricky. I'd also need to repaint him again as I'm not quite happy with the results and some of the paint already wore off (see V on the chest).

built the GGG upgrade set last night. Stealth Gao II is an improvement and the manes don't constantly fall off anymore. Goldy was actually surprising complex build for a minipla and probably has more parts than gaigar did. Unfortunately he doesn't have a perfect transformation and you have to remove the hands and bottom foot plates for tank transformation. Like every goldion hammer, it's a great idea thats just too impractical in a world where physics apply and dont expect to do much with it except having him stand there. For me, I wanted the set primarily for the star parts. It's expensive, but also still the cheapest transforming GGG you can get.

I just finished my GGG upgrade set yesterday as well. I forgot how annoying the mane parts were on Stealth Gao I until I was pulling it off to attach Stealth Gao II. Then I realized that they had improved those parts.
Goldy Marg is a nice little figure and an interesting build, but I was unable to get GGG into a standing pose with the Goldion Hammer. A shame that the stand that came with Stealth Gao I is too short to use with GGG.

I also wish they had gone with slide on caps for Stealth Gao II's turbines. I'm worried that if I swap between the solid black and clear green ones, one of the pegs'll break. Probably on the clear green ones.


I've also slowly been working my Kryuuranger SP01 set. I'm really digging the metallic plastic and the molded in rangers in the cockpits. They look great if you carefully cut out and apply the ranger decal that otherwise goes unused on this kits. I hope they'll continue with the rest of the mecha in SP sets. sets 04, 05, & 06 have pre-orders up at places, but I haven't seen an SP02 yet.
