It's possible to avoid that particular pitfall. I only have Zolda, Femme, and a Ride Shooter. If I can score a decent price on a Magnugiga, that will settle me on Ryuki. Of course, I can't claim to be completely sane as I am all in on the Gaim line.

Someone needs to dub over all of Kanzakis lines with "Gotta buy" :lol

I've missed four Gaim releases: Shin Zangetsu, Jinba Gaim, Lemon Energy Baron, and Bravo.

Of those three, Bravo is the only one I NEED for a complete set.

Or just replace the subtitle whenever Odin says "Fight" with "Buy".

Kachidoki is the only one I've missed so far. But I ended up with two each of Gaim (Orange), Baron (Banana), and Kurokage.

Well it depends on the show that you like. SHF Shin Ichigo is a great figuart since he was my first Figuart and you can't go wrong with a Showa Rider ;). Other SHF Kamen Rider figuarts lines that I thought were good and worth getting:

Any Showa Rider figuart from 2011 - current (expect for ZX)
Ryuki
Blade
Hibiki
Den-O
Gaim

Pick a character design you like - that is the most important of all.

My favs are:
- Any of the Iron Man suits. Awesome sculpt, paint, tons of effects parts

- Kamen Rider Ryuki or Knight They come with SO many accessories its insane. Ryuki and Knight come with their Contract Monsters. All of the Ryuki figs also come with their own stands. Completing this series is gonna be impossibly expensive but those two are awesome stand alone if you can find them

- Faiz Blaster. Aesthetically pleasing, lots of accessories. Can be had for cheap. Got mine on sale at HLJ

- Pretty much all of the Kamen Rider Gaim figures. I love the show, love the aesthetic, the mold shared across the line is quite good. KachiDoki Arms is probably the best SHF KR release of all time for me, i love that suit

- Kamen Rider Blade. This is the absolute best version of the SHF mold short of the "Renewal" series (premium releases, pricier than normal). The suit designs aren't my favorites but the mold is that damn good. Paint, articulation, sculpt, there is no better, and for Blade himself you get a load of accessories (see a theme? more accessories more fun)

- Hibiki Renewal. Ungodly purple paint job, the top of the line SHF body used only for the renewal series, tons of flame accessories, special premium packaging. This is the best of the best price be damned.

Offtopic but related? I was hugely disappointed with the Tiger and Bunny releases. For a show that literally had S.H. Figuarts as a fictional sponsor, the releases are shockingly limited in their articulation. It's like they didn't think through how the suit armor should be arranged. Cool accessories though.

If you're going this route, keep in mind that the Marvel SHFs command a huge price tag at release and an even bigger one on the secondary market.

Those two can also be very expensive, esp. Knight. He regulary goes for $120 and above, and that's on a good day.

This one is actually a good choice.

Some of these ones are pricey too, esp. Kachidoki. But Ryugen is pretty cheap, and looks great.

The Blade SHFs are a good choice indeed. Blade proper generally goes for more than he's worth (are you seing a trend here?), but Leangle and Chalice are average in price and above-average in awesomeness.

Another great one, and one that's generally cheaper than some of those others you mentioned.

Faiz has some fun figuarts. every Agito Figuart (except ground form unfortunately) is great. Black renewal is a great figuart. Super-1 is a great showa figuart with all the needed accessories. Fourze figuarts are great but the stand and effects parts will eat away at your wallet.

Sentai figuarts are also great, and I also highly recommend the sailor moon figuarts line.

Super-1 is a good choice, my personal fave of the Showa Riders. And the Fourze add-ons aren't that expensive at all, btw. They're some of the cheapest SHF releases I've ever seen on the aftermarket.

He may have been solid back in the day but he's dated as crap now. He feels like a play toy compare to SHF Burning Agito and Shining Agito. I'm surprise that he's not getting the renewal treatment next after Kuuga. If they can make Ground form as awesome as Shining Agito then I will be very happy :)!

fourze's stuff isn't so much as expensive as they are.... copious. to say the least.

Fourze has a lot of accessories you can buy if you want complete accessibility to any and all of Fourze's equipment. his alternate forms are also great as well.

I feel like making a renewal Agito would be pretty easy with just some slight remolding to the Shining and Burning molds.

from what I've seen on the shining and burning figuarts, they're both VERY solid figuarts with no need of renewals any time soon.

Agito ground form on the other hand is in DESPERATE need of a nenewal. just a swappable face and only rage hands are not great for figure like that nowadays. even G3-X and Another Agito had more than 1 set of alternate hands.

It really depends. For a figuart, it should be around $10-ish.

Like most of the commenters here have said, pick a character or design you like. Then factor in a budget. Then did your research, ask around like you are now, and then start your hunt. There are plenty of choices out there.

My favorites of ones I have are:
MMPR (All but Amored Black)- an obvious pick for a American fan who grew up with the show
KR Fourze (Base & Cosmic States)- my fave Rider & as said great on accessories
KR Nadeshiko- very nice, a must for Fourze & compatible with most of his stuff
KR Ryuki (Ryuki, Knight Survive, Tiger, Zolda, Odin & Abyss)- Tiger & Abyss are visually pleasing and very photogenic. And yeah, I know Abyss is Decade/AR Blade.

Theses are but a few of the ones I have, and some searching should give you an idea of what to expect, and help in your decision. I'm sure others will cover the various markets you can use to get these, but if you're not sure, you can always use Amazon for most of your initial purchases. Over time you'll get used to using sites like AmiAmi, Mandarake and others. Hope this helps.

well i finally got my Gaim Pine and Barton Mango 2 pack and im loving it! Most of you will be glad to hear that (atleast on mine) Gaims Musou Saber stays in his holster perfectly!

2 minor nit picks:- i guess it doesnt matter too much since they are not meant as play things to swing around and are meant to be more like display figures but the chain on the pine iron does feel a little weak so take some care there, also while the hands on baron mango do plug in securely they do seem a bit too loose to hold the mango punisher in one hand securely (still need to test out some more one-handed poses to be sure but thats the 1st impression. currently have him 2-handing it so its no biggy right now)

Ive been looking at Alternative, because he's a decent price and I like his design. And considering everyone's basically said "Ryuki! Yay", that looks good. And maybe a Showa Rider. I do like Super-1. Maybe I'll wait for a rerelease on him, since someone mentioned it...

Mach isn't too hard to get. I've gotten like 3 in stock alerts for him. Just figinstock it.

You guys just gotta at Mach Speed to obtain the figuarts....

I have the Reborn version and it's pretty nice.

Its an ok toy but it uses the Shocker Combatman, Akaranger etc body. so he is taller than most figuarts and looks out of place depending on how he is posed.

I say get him now. he's a perfect figuarts for a first timer and he comes with all his hand options, a sword, alternate tassles, and is really poseable. I can't recommend the figure enough.

I could care less if he's taller. He looks cool and that's enough for me.

Alternative Zero is awesome. I have him on my Ryuki shelf now and he just gives this really awesome presence to it. Definitely a standout figure.

So despite the Tamashii website saying he's due on the 14th, the V3 reissue must have been released early because I've just had an Amiami payment request for him.

I had a dream where I had a figuarts of a web exclusive Ninjablack from Kakuranger complete with Kane Kosugi's head as a spare part... Now I feel empty...

But yeah I hope they release some Kakuranger at a cheap price one of these days.
