That was a major concern for me too. It wouldn't have been a dealbreaker considering she almost never uses it, but static sword scabbards irritate me to no end.

Got an email telling me that Figma Hyakkimaru got delayed by a month. Not surprised, but man am I excited to own it. Hope it turns out good.

Also had to pre-order that SEGA Console set. Really hope they get to do Nintendo and Sony Editions too.

Seems like GSC took a note from Hasbro when it came to the upcoming Figma of Dai from the Dragon Quest anime; He has a standard diaphragm joint and a reverse ab crunch, rather than a ball jointed waist. Not fond of this tbh since their justification for doing so(his signature technique) doesn't even really require it.

GSC is now making their own effect pieces! They're meant to go with the Rayearth Moderoid kits, but I could see them working really well with a ton of other figures.

Yeah, I figured given the colors. I can see someone place these around an RKF Saber, Blades, and Kenzan.

How fitting that this thread surfaced about a week after GSC really surprised me with a teaser pic in the best possible way.

Since the planned Mondo 1/6-scale figure is most apparently dead in the water I had already accepted the fact that the single appearance of this amazing design from a great game in plastic form would be McFarlane's budget figure.

I checked the dimensions and yeah, they'll work great. Definitely going to be picking up the water piece to accent my Suiko no Shin statue.

Looking at the prices on the McFarlane figure at this point, this may be the budget option now.:lol

Oh yeah, I forgot how pricey this figure became on the aftermarket.

But I guess the prices will drop once the figma goes up for pre-order and collectors try to sell the McFarlane one in order to replace it.

I'm very much tempted to try and find a roughly 1:12-scale generic baby figure, if something like that exists, and put a Mjolnir helmet on it to replicate this fanart that I love a bit too much.

My only VG figures are the figmas of (MP3) Samus and Lucina... which I guess is pretty appropriate for this thread! I'm pretty satisfied with them; Samus in particular is one of my favourite figures I got this year :)

I kind of wish they would do the suit from the new Metroid game, I really like that design. Reminds me a bit of Kamen Rider Vulcan as well, with the blue and white color scheme.

Dread's design is so so sick! I'd love to see more Samus suits made by Figma and I'm surprised they never at least done Gravity and Phazon recolours of the Samus they'd already made (I know it's not the exact same design as Prime 1, but still). Besides Dread my two top picks would be Fusion and Light!

I really want this not just because I love the Dread design more (and it's kind of her 'current' design? a bit like how tracksuit #1 replaced original colours #1? sort of?), but also because it will just be a massive improvement as a figure as well for me, I think. I've got the MP3 Samus Figma and she's definitely nice to look at, but there's so so many flaws about it that it's a kind of begruding acceptance just to have a decent Samus on the shelf. I haven't gotten any other Figmas aside from Lucina so I have no experience with improvements to the figures since then but I imagine they're a lot better now, like Figuarts' steady improvements over the years

Samus revealed! And thank whatever deity sees itself responsible for this, the knees are actually double hinges. I was so afraid they would screw this up by being adamant about their style and implementing the ball knees. But for this design, nothing else but a double hinge would work, and I'm glad they realized that.

I mean, look at it! The back of the knee even has sculpted detail on the back that moves alongside when the joint is engaged. It's so good.

Also... figma E.M.M.I.! I was joking when they announced they were working on Samus that if we would get more than her from Dread, an E.M.M.I. could be on the table and they are doing it! Must-have to go alongside Samus for me, so cool. If all the things that could move on this figure actually move this will be so fun to handle. And if not, still awesome!

I was wishing someone would do this, it's probably my favorite mount in videogames. Not because of personal attachment like Agro for example, but just because Elden Ring is fantastic and because its spectral steed is a joy to work with. And I wanted to display the upcoming Tarnished figma riding it.
