Epic 4 of Goseiger done. Loved the guitar creature, he was funny as hell, and it was humorous to see Drake getting into his music.

You know, I'm trying to get over this whole fansub argument thing. It's ultimately a matter of individual aesthetics and, no matter how much I disagree with the way TVN does things they still have their fans and I should really just let them like the show and not try to convince them to agree with my tastes.
But I'm watching the TVN subs of Boukenger and this? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psd2455061.png This is bullshit. |

Kakuranger episodes 1-8 (8 just went up). Seen the first 4 before. Decided to rewatch them because the translation was changed slightly. Still love them. Episode 1 has a lot to take in. My love for the Shogun Megazord grew 3 sizes that day because now I get that it's a shogun's castle. Saizou's kind of greedy. Episode 2 has a married monster couple making out in an arcade (It has Gundam games!). Episode 3 has Jiraiya dressed as a cowboy and there's a scene where he's in an Old West jail cell. Plus, a failure taxi cab monster. Episode 4 has the start of the crazy ninja powers. The use of stealth and disguises helps the ninja theme all the more. Sasuke pretending to be a Yokai was entertaining. Episode 5 has a wall monster that shit bricks at one point.. Episode 6 has the flasher monster who took Tsuruhime to Yokai divorce court. Dorodoros are dressed like lawyers. Episode 7 could totally be a Raita episode. There's a lot of great out of context lines in this one. There's a point where Seikai admits he wants to eat Tsuruhime. Tsuruhime turns into a cheeseburger. Also, the MOTW has the scariest human form EVER. I will have nightmates of him. Episode 8 has literal cat drugs. The monster of this episode is strange and one of them not used in MMPR. It's a cat theme that has fur only on the arms and head. The rest of the body is green and yellow latex and has "Hustle" written down the side of her legs. Not to be forgetting the forehead that has an extra nose, mouth, and chin on it. The suit alone has enough cat drugs in it, but there's a lot there. Like the cat monster making the Kakurangers dance in freaky ways. Plus, Cat Bus gets angry in this episode. I love Kakuranger. :D |
Dekaranger Vs Abaranger. That was a pretty damn good Vs movie. I don't have any experience with Abaranger the series but the characters seemed much more interesting than I expected. AbareKiller is definitely a complete badass just from the 15 minutes he was on screen. I'm really gonna have to get around to checking out whats available of Abaranger.
The movie had a pretty decent premise to bring the 2 teams together, thought Red Blue & Yellow did seem a little too easy going. Using Agent Abrera to bring the villains of the 2 shows together was nice. Or rather it would have been nicer if he hadn't bailed out on his own evil scheme 10 minutes in :lol |

Awesome! :D *Runs to download it* |
>_> I like TV-Nihon.

Now that I've seen most of the series that are available I think I'll re-watch Gokaiger to better appreciate the tributes and legends.

In general, TVN's Boukenger subs are really, really bad (and not just for the crap video quality). That line aside, there are a lot of problems with it. The show is full of homophone confusion ("you're" instead of "your," for example), malapropisms, and just plain awkward English ("I'm brimming with earnestness!"). I've seen a lot of TVN's stuff and I can't think of a show they've done with worse translations. Honestly, part of me wants to just drop this and watch something from a different group. I have to keep telling myself that if I can watch Kamen Rider X on HK subs, I can make it through this. It probably helps that I'm really enjoying the show (so much better than Operation Overdrive, especially their Blue). |

I tend to give their Dekaranger subs the benefit of the doubt because as far as I can tell it was one of their first projects, atleast as far as Super Sentai was concerned anyway. Would be nice if they could go back and redo if with improvements and better video like they're doing with Kamen Rider 555 and Den-O (I think they did it with Den-O anyway), but I guess they don't need any more projects weighing them down.

Up to episode 13 of Zyuranger.
So, I assume the Burai arc is starting soon? Because I need a change of pace from the constant kid-centric episodes. |

And I asked this question a few days back, but does anyone know anywhere that I can find those HiNoTori Gingaman subs? The torrents are totally dead and KRDL doesn't have them up at all :( |
Have you tried the ddls from their site? They're slow going but I've managed to download them all.

Actually, the upcoming Mei episode is not completely kid oriented. It has kids in it, but it is more about Mei than kids.

Episode 14: Now I know why a giant Japanese kid randomly appeared in the Ticklesneezer episode of Power Rangers. |

Sadly not :( I tried, but even by navigating through a past version of Gaosoul's now dead website I can see they never updated the original Fileserve links. Seems odd that krdl has their series subs, but none of their vs cinema releases.

So guys...why are so many of these Sentai series half done. For example: only the first 6 episodes of Abaranger are subbed.

It's just one of those things you need to accept in being in this fandom. That subs take time, Saban will screw something up once every season, and our toys are so expensive our wallets cry along in dark corners at night.
|
I honestly wouldn't take issue with the "Subs take time" thing if not for the fact that most sub groups that don't handle series on a weekly basis will put up one episode from a series a month.
That's good time until you realize that a 49 episode series being updated once a month is a really freaking long time. Then again, I don't know how fast some sub groups will handle things. I'm just basing my statements on the Abaranger subbers who just kinda vanished after like, 7 episodes. |
In an ideal world Sub-Groups would have a group dedicated to subbing new episodes, and a group dedicated to subbing old episodes of series' past. But sadly past episodes are sporadic.
And if Facebook is any indication I know why. You should read all the bitching people do because the new episode of Wizard, or Go-Busters, isn't subbed the next day. |

And on them, I really want to check out Abaranger since I love the designs and I liked Dino Thunder, but if I can only watch the first 7...I don't want to get sucked into a show I can't finish. |
