You know if they don't at least make MG's of Crossbone Maoh and regular Fenice I'll be massively disappointed.

I would have thought Bandai considered an MG Fenice a given. I'd totally rebuy it in any scale they make it in.

A MG Fenice should almost be a no brainer for Bandai, but they don't always go with what's an easy sell. What Japanese trade shows are coming up? Maybe we'll see one last BF push before the deluge of Reconguista merchandise begins to hit.

I managed to get a friend of mine whom really isn't into Gundam at al hooked on the Build Fighters. The best part is: I did so through no pushing of my own.

He saw me using screencaps of the Star Build Strike from the baseball episode and ended up marathoning in the span of two days.

I literally had no idea until like a minute ago that the MG Universal Booster includes parts to retrofit an MG Build Strike into a Star Build :lol

Now I need another Build Strike!

The effect parts are gorgeous and blow the HG ones out of the water.

And look on the bright side: You'll have an extra build booster to slap onto another kit!

So I just finished the Zeta Gundam New Translation movies and I like them for what they are.

Their biggest flaw is the pacing. Not only does a lot of shit happen in so little time, but every line is explaining something and it's a lot to take in. I don't think this is as much of a fault of the running time as the content of Zeta itself. The story seems really complex with lots of twists and turns happening

Zeta is in my opinion much better than the movies. Now I'm not saying the movies are shit or anything, I still enjoy them. But I can't stand the way the movies attempt to rewrite UC history with that ending. They're enjoyable, the newly animated bits are fantastic, and I always love Gackt's music. But I vastly prefer the show. It's far and above one of if not my absolute favorite Gundam show.

I have finally seen the last episode of Build fighters... THE FEELS! Damn that was an amazing episode! I almost cried! Great end to the series. I hope they make a second season at least.

Yup. The ending is entirely rewritten so more of the (minor spoilers) main characters survive and that the looming war/invasion by Neo Zeon is more or less averted.

I watched the first one, but never bothered with the other Zeta compilations.

The pacing was odd, they left out certain scenes, and some scenes are even aired out of order.

You want to talk out or order and odd pacing? Memory of Eden from Age. That was absolutely the worst Gundam film I've ever seen.

Compilation movies aren't really the best way to watch Gundam anyways. :lol

Does that even count as a compilation movie? It was closer to Pokemon Origins, in the sense all it was doing was redoing key scenes from the original story.

Still sad that they never made an AGE 1 Swordia model. :(

Everything, and I mean everything that happens is wildly out of sequence. Mannerisms are played up or down according to how they want to streamline the story. Key events are rewritten or gone entirely. It's just bad.

The Zeta movies are pretty good examples of how to do compilations, right up until that ending. Honestly the original trilogy does it best when it comes to tastefully, and with correct pacing, compiling shows into movies.

I'm DEFINITELY glad that 00 NEVER got compilations cause man I'd be pissed if they made one & screwed the story up ROYALLY :lol.

Also agree with King Form. 00 had perfect and rapid pacing as it is and compilation movies would have made that a trainwreck.

I also feel bad for Turn A only having two compilation movies.

00 did in fact get the compilation treatment. The first "film" truncated the entirety of the first season into an hour and a half. The second season fared a little better, being split into two parts.

SEED Destiny had four compilations and a longer 45 minute cut of the final episode. The original SEED had three.

He looked boss.

I enjoyed it for what it was, but in no way will it ever serve as replacement for watching the show.

There is a set of ovas that sumamrize both seasons.

OVAs are different from a whole one movie compilation thing though @Algo :lol.

When they are 3 and each one runs at 90 minutes it's more or less the same thing. :lol

I have mixed Opinions about Gundam AGE. I enjoyed it, but I can't defend it's short comings. One thing I can say about the show though is that everything that came out after gen 1 looked quite boss.

The high grade kits are pretty good too.

My Zaku II (Char's) is now panel lined and looks great :D

I liked most of the designs, the main 3 Gundams were very cool, and the UE had very cool and unique mechs.

I Love the UE machines, they're some of my favrioute designs out of AGE.

The Wrozzo deserved a HG, I loved that design.

I built this over the course of the weekend, the Star Build Strike and the Power Gate booster. Ended up building the two boosters simotainously.

I questioned Bandai releasing a new Strike but y'know what? The base build strike body was a pretty fun build and did a few things I wasn't expecting. It's very solid, and I might be enjoying this new High Grade far more than I did the RG. It only really gets finicky if you start putting on the effect parts.

Speaking of Effects, I gotta think about what to do with the spare Booster and crapton of extra parts it gives you.

They give you the entire H and I plate from the HG Star Build Strike, so you'll have an extra rifle and half the parts needed to make the shield.

I've been thinking about doing an Gundam X that uses the Discharge system to fire the satellite cannon.

But, I'm thinking all those clear parts might go well with the Extreme Gundam too, hmmm….

I agree. I enjoyed following AGE as it aired, but as the series progressed I grew less enamored. While nowhere as prolific in scope as 00, the AGE line of kits continued to offer sound kits. The AGE-1 normal is still one of the most ridiculously articulated 144 scale kits I own (it can roll into a ball :) )

I am of the sort that believes the Xamdrag, for all of its multiple appearences, direly needed a kit.

Oh yeah, it's beautiful but putting on all the effects was a pain. The angel wings are fine, no problems there but the big issues come from the big yellow pieces.

Dunno if it's just mine but it constantly wants to fall out if you try to move it at all.

So are the Build Custom kits fairly universal? If I wanted to say, put the Plavsky Power Gate on HG 00,would that be doable without physically altering 00?

Yeah. They include adaptors and joints to make the back packs compatible with virtually any high grades.

Actually the Master Grades do too! I cracked open the Build Strike last night to check it out before building, and everything is cross compatible (more or less). I probably won't be able to start the build of it or my Sengoku til later in the leek, but once I do I'll probably post updates here as I go along.
